  1. The defence has been better since Mowbray took over so no wonder Steele has looked better. He deserves a little credit for his assist against Wigan but the man is a liability, very poor goalkeeper, makes the odd Hollywood save but the rest of his game is poor,he looks like a rabbit in headlights when coming for a cross, his distribution is terrible 9 times out of ten. Bit worried that Mowbray will stick with him though as he had him at Boro.An experienced number 1 should Be near the top of the list for incomings this summer.Raya has potential but why on earth wasn't he sent on loan to a league 1 or 2 club this season is beyond me
  2. Thanks.Notice you never mentioned Mansell?Do you not rate him?Have you seen much of Butterworth?Been a while since the academy has provided a decent striker
  3. Parson do you think Travis or Doyle are far off making the step up?Not a massive fan of Williams,do you think Doyle has something to offer at left back?
  4. The last young player you called useless we sold to Manchester United for 20 million
  5. Belgium and Egyptian league?Show me his stats from his last job in England.I was taken aback by Mowbrays appointment myself but if it had been McLeish I have no doubt we would have got relegated
  6. If your only as good as your last job then why did you want McLeish to take over?
  7. Any thoughts on the good performances of Nyambe Jal?
  8. There is a link on page 8 on the Coyle sacked thread for a bbc radio Lancashire special, both Sutton and Brett ormerod give their thoughts and you can tell that they both don't have a high opinion of Senior, with Ormerod labelling him patronising Paul
  9. If Coyle wanted Mahoney to sign a new contract so badly then perhaps putting him in the starting 11 ahead of the has been Conway and the never was Feeney would have helped
  10. Definitely recommend the the founder.Michael keaton should at least get a nomination for best actor for his portrayal of Ray Kroc. Really enjoyed The Arrival it would be one of my films of the year too. If you haven't watched Gold put that on your to watch list. It's loosely based on a true story the Bre-x mining scandal and like I said before a fantastic performance by Matthew mcConaughey
  11. Watched "The Founder" last night.Film about the mcdonalds empire, was quality.Great lead performance by Michael Keaton. Other good films I watched this month The Arrival,Trainspotting 2 (although not a patch on the first one) and Gold again another great lead performance by Matthew mcConaughey
  12. I do agree with you in the sense that a proper training and fitness regime leads to less injuries.Just saying that in that instance the injuries at Bolton didn't have much to do with the way Coyle was training then,Holden had his leg broken in a match if memory serves me correctly.Hopefully with Chris Neville being involved with the fitness and conditioning side of things then we should be ok with the fitness of the squad.
  13. well I don't think it was his training methods that caused Fabrice Muamba to have his problems.Stuart Holden has proven that he is an injury prone player so again don't think Coyles methods can be blamed. And the Korean lad who is now at palace also had a long term injury that season. Those 3 where key players for Bolton at that time
  14. Sorry but how does it look like kean all over again?Same accent?Did he make promises of champions league football?Did he liken Shane Duffy as the second coming of Paulo Maldini? I'm dissapointed with his appointment and as I said in an earlier post was bemused by his apparent lack of knowledge regarding SEM,but he isn't represented by SEM anymore, and posters on here who have encountered him and his family have described him as a decent guy.Bad manager maybe...but like Kean I don't think so. He did well at Burnley and in Scotland before that. His time at Bolton was mixed, yeah they got relegated but in fairness to Coyle a lot of his key men that season wer injured. His time at Wigan was terrible. A lot will depend on how he does in the transfer market and if he listens to the rest of the backroom staff
  15. Did you watch it?Thoughts?Watched Black Mass last night, superb acting by Johnny depp. Looking foward to Warcraft and the suicide squad
  16. Similar,I preferred cool runnings but it was a good watch
  17. Watched Eddie the eagle last night, wasn't expecting much but an easy watch and some parts I found quite funny
  18. Is that actually happening?Im sure I read it was just a hoax?
  19. We aren't going down.Yes today was very disappointing to lose to that lot but no need to be so dramatic.
  20. I curse the day the venky's bought rovers and can't wait for the day they are Gone. However regarding the Rhodes transfer they turned down sizeable bids for Rhodes in the past,to sell was what Lambert wanted so surely he will be given funds?Lambert and the backroom staff won't have come cheap added to the fact that they worked to lift the embargoe leaves me believing funds will be available this summer
  21. You may be right. But why would Lambert have come here without assurances that he would have money to spend?
