  1. I don't think anyone can be blamed for being on edge at this late stage of the window. If you have read my posts throughout this window iv been quite optimistic we would be bringing in some quality. But we don't seem any closer to bringing in signings of quality. At the end of the day at the beginning of the summer I thought we would have a modest budget and would be shopping for bargains. It was only when Waggot and Mowbray both spoke of making exciting signings that I started to believe we had a decent budget and we would bring in a couple of quality players that would go into our first 11. Quite a few players have moved to clubs with small budgets for reasonable fees that would have improved us yet we seem to have spent the summer chasing players we had no chance of bringing in.Now we are being linked with a qpr reserve a team who's start has put them amongst the relegation candidates. I will wait till next Friday to give my final judgement but even the most positive of fans must be getting a bit concerned now.
  2. He signed a new contract with Wednesday earlier in the week
  3. No doubt the club will tell us it was an incredibly hard window to do deals in but not to worry we still have plenty in the kitty and will go again in January
  4. It's not just him though is It? And show me in my post where i said because Nixon said It, it's true?
  5. Nixon tweeting about Sylla now...great we are potentially signing a qpr reserve be a mad dash for season tickets
  6. I wanted us to take a chance on Brereton when the fee was being mooted as 5 or 6 million and we were being told we had a healthy budget and it was being made out we also had money to bring in Freeman as well. But I'm struggling to understand why we are even still talking to forest with some of the figures being suggested. Players like Bradshaw and a few others are moving to clubs for low fees whilst from the outside looking in seems we are wasting our time persuing a player that his current club are looking for silly money for. I honestly can't wait for this window to close
  7. Yeah was reading it will break their previous record of just under 900k in 1989
  8. This week, think it was Wednesday.Woodrow from Fulham going to Barnsley on loan to replace him Just checked went through yesterday
  9. Gone on loan to Millwall. Will become their record signing for 1 million when the window opens in January Harris has done a great job there
  10. It wasn't even Nixon who broke the Brereton story? The story about us upping our bid to 8 million also wasn't from Nixon
  11. It probably will get done but still being told Wednesday night to expect a couple in on Thursday only for just Rodwell to come in doesn't make me rest easy. The clock is ticking and with the injuries we have suffered we might really need ti get some additions in.
  12. Seen on Twitter that Jim white said on talkshite that Rovers willing to pay up to 14million for Brereton and a deal will be done next week.14 million yeah right, how can they come out with that crap. Nixon said we are still working on it but nothing near those numbers
  13. My point with Reed was if we are struggling to get that one over the line which should be a pretty straight forward deal to do then I'm losing hope in us getting the attacking additions that are badly needed in. Not sure what's happening with Brereton
  14. Ok fair enough I can understand where your coming from on most your points . Disagree the forward areas are a position we are well covered in. Samuel is also out, will be a stretch to imagine Graham lasting another 90 minutes so leaves us with Nuttall. No guarantee that Dack will be fit either
  15. I am unhappy that nobody has been brought in yes.Do you not think we are a bit light? Possibly Dack and Armstrong out tomorrow.Armstrong definitely out. I could understand it happening once but this has been going on for a month now.Every week Mowbray tells us someone In by the weekend but nothing happens.Wednesday night we were told a couple in on Thursday. Not really blaming Mowbray as he is probably being told this by the person who is doing the negotiations. We just can't seem to get deals over the line. I mean Mark Hughes confirmed in his press conference yesterday that Reed is going on loan, rumour has it he has been up north since Wednesday. What's the hold up getting that deal done?
  16. Nothing happening signings wise today according to Sharpe. This is getting absolutely ridiculous,Wednesday we were told a couple in on Thursday. Every week we are being told signings by the weekend but nothing happens.
  17. Reed has a lot more experience than Travis and would be better than Smallwood, Reed can also fill in at full back. Personally think he will be a good signing for the season, giving Travis the chance to play every week before coming back here next season
  18. Not sure about the option of the second year but a few weeks back one of the posters on here SkipDonoghue who seems pretty clued up said he had been at Brockhall
  19. Fingers and toes crossed Dack is back for this one. 2-1 Dack and Graham with the goals
  20. That isn't good reading. Was a bit positive after reading the mail piece.Shows there are two sides to every story. Will see how he does here, just have to hope the move will bring back some hunger and desire and he doesn't spend his time on the treatment table. Thanks for info.Good luck with your season and hope your new owners do better by the club than Short
  21. Yeah it will but at least he spent pre season with Watford and been training with Everton. Reed expected tomorrow then hopefully next week money will be spent securing a loan to buy striker and winger
  22. Yeah but has been fit Sunderland and Coleman wouldn't play him. The past is the past he is on a cheap deal, like you said earlier he is a rover now so will have our backing, If he doesn't show anything he will be out the door next summer.
  23. Have you read that article? He was fit and available to play, he didn't want want to go without being fixed up with another club first, when he refused to walk away from his contract he was told to train on his own.The club gave him that contract. Yes I'm skeptical too but more due to his injury record and poor form rather than problems with his attitude. We will see how he does, doesn't look like it will be costing us much anyway
  24. The fans were pissed off with Rodwell because they couldn't bring in any new signings because he wouldn't walk away from his contract. The club sold him down the river to be fair. I'm not saying his spell at Sunderland was good , his form wasn't great when he did play but this bad attitude thing could be a myth.I don't believe Mogga would bring a negative type into the dressing room, he has spoke on numerous occasions of only bringing in players of good character
  25. Reed will complete his move tomorrow I presume Hughes confirmed in his presser that he was going on loan for the season
