  1. If we don’t win tomorrow night, it is season over. Stoke desperate as well but like Swansea and Derby, I expect only one outcome. I just hope and pray that I am wrong on this occasion !
  2. This club, this team, these players never turn up in matches / situations like this one. Eleven straight defeats away from home against promoted teams, I would wager Pompey will make that a perfect twelve in a few weeks, suggests yesterday had very little to do with Valerian Ismael.
  3. I made the point today, for me, I wasn’t unhappy with his appointment, especially given the names linked. I also said before and after the Swansea match, that anyone being appointed should be for the remainder of the season only and if he has been appointed for the stipulated 3 year term without an end of season break, he has been set up to fail and absolute further proof of the cretins running the club ! We have 4,000 season full paying ST holders, if we go on a run that sees us slip in to mid table, who the hell will have any faith in VI and what further damage will that do to ST sales. Our club will die as a result of this.
  4. Enough is enough, I don’t think Pears should ever wear the shirt again .
  5. For all those talking about Travis rallying the troops, third game he hasn’t turned up. He is a key component of the complete failure of this club when the pressure is on .
  6. For me Ohashi has to start and get as close to Gueye as possible. He needs to be alert and sniffing around anything that might break from the Big Man’s presence.
  7. I will be there but expect a typical Rovers result in these type of circumstances. I will be surprised if there is any other result other than a Derby win.
  8. Hopefully it be a better rallying call than that issued at Swansea and before the Norwich match. Travis has been really good this season but he has a history of his form dropping off when most needed and last two matches, he has been really poor. If ever we needed a Captain to step up and pull his team with him, it is this Saturday and then right through to the season’s end.
  9. I agree, we just don’t take care of the ball. Yesterday was bad but the week before at Swansea, was even worse, we just consistently turned the ball over by indecision and poor passing.
  10. Certainly has the potential to be a far better player than Carrick, who was also a great player.
  11. That is pretty much how I saw the match unfold, the clear difference was that Norwich players generally found a yellow shirt with their passing and appeared much quicker breaking and both in and out of possession.
  12. He’s not a natural but at least on two occasions, he ran all the way back to become the last man and clear, albeit one ended up as an unnecessary corner.
  13. He is a very frustrating player, has the occasional good game but most of the time he is just woeful. He might still be relatively young but he must have 100 / 150 appearances and continues to make the same mistakes and appears to have very little football intelligence and I don’t see any improvement in his play or offensive output.
  14. We got a point when all looked lost but last week at Swansea and today, were two of the worse performances of the season. I hope I am wrong but if we don’t improve significantly from the last two, then I expect to get beaten at both Derby and Stoke.
  15. His legs have gone and he does get caught in possession but he knows where to be and is a goal threat. Like everyone at Swansea, he was poor but had two good first half chances and today, he had 3 chances in 25 minutes and don’t think we had a chance outside these.
  16. Good post, I was pointing out exactly the same, at no stage was Duffy pressurised when in possession and we know that he can’t handle that. Gueye needs support closer to him, without Ohashi, I think Kargbo needed to be more central and closer to big Mak.
  17. Noel and Windy, what a joy. Scotty and Howard G, great times.
  18. There was precious little team spirit on show at Swansea, dreadful capitulation.
  19. Apart from an end date, we have no idea of what the contract provides for. It wouldn’t surprise me if a break or release clause has been included to give both club and employee an option in the summer, once the outcome of the next 12 (hopefully 15) matches is known.
  20. As I posted on the earlier thread, not excited by the appointment but not disappointed either, he did a really good job at Barnsley. Let’s hope he gets a fantastic 15 game response and takes us up and in doing so, delivers the perfect opportunity for Venkys to finally exit our club.
