  1. George Donis and Windy Miller come to mind. Not forgetting Tyler Magloire and Devarn Green, both reported to be lightening quick but never earned their spikes at Ewood.
  2. With a big crowd, hopefully they don’t go and screw the matchday experience up with the extra ticket checks 🙈
  3. Seats in the corner blocks nearest to DE in both Riverside and JWL, currently held back from sale. Come on Swag, get them on sale and sold, COYB’s.
  4. Now let’s get the other 300 / 400 in the Riverside / JWL on sale 😊
  5. Still showing 3 available, BBE upper towards Riverside
  6. And for me, Riverside is where it all started for me.
  7. 7, one in JWL and 6 in BBE upper.
  8. I really hope not but I do think that Eustace would be pushing for the Stoke job if they show an interest. It might be a crackpot club but he is an ex club skipper, would have the Coates billions to call upon, a shorter commute and despite all the failures, he would back himself to succeed. And then there is the massive pay rise, to boot ! I think Eustace is a talented manager and would be a disaster to lose him but Stoke, and West Brom, could well be circling 🙈
  9. To balance the excitement of the Dingle match sales and to further evidence Ossy’s post, take a look at all the Green availability for this Sunday’s match against Hull. This club needs ST sales at competitive/ cheap prices to bring Fortress Ewood back to life by developing our future supporter base and enticing back lapsed fans.
  10. We can but I have to say that I think it is highly unlikely. I think this one will be a home banker and therefore, we need to really target 3 points against Hull.
  11. Big Mak did everything right, more often than not, the keeper is picking that out from the onion bag.
  12. He did indeed, a really smart turn and hit it really well and was goal bound but for hitting the defender.
  13. The first goal stemmed from Beck going for header on the half way which he lost and was then out of position and leaving Roberts bags of room. Beck did seem to be really tucked in to the CH and that gave Roberts the freedom of the flank, especially in the second half.
  14. Couldn’t agree more. Games can be won by different tactics and inverted wingers are favoured in the modern game but Patrick Roberts showed today how effective getting to the byline and crossing can be, managed it twice and both times it ended up in our net.
  15. I thought he had a good game and caught Dunny’s summary on Radio Lancs on the way home and he said that he thought Baker was terrific in the middle. One of our very best midfielders of years gone past and so I think his thoughts should carry some credibility.
  16. A good post but I disagree about Baker, I thought he was excellent and proved a great replacement for Travis. Unless we win, I generally leave Ewood felling pretty low but today, I left happy with the point and having witnessed a great game. What a difference a winner or equaliser at the death makes to raise your spirit and mood, something that we have seldom seen and experienced at Ewood in recent years. Credit to Eustace, he is making the sum of the team add up to much more than the constituent parts he has available.
  17. Only under Venky / Swag’s Rovers 😡
  18. A perfect summary, Merry Christmas to everyone at BRFCS who make this forum possible and to all posters, who allow us to share the highs and lows of following this great club. COYB
  19. I have to agree that he hasn’t shown anything in a Rovers shirt to suggest he can make it. Having said that, he hasn’t shown anything never really had an extended run and was rated highly at Spurs and is a real fans favourite at Saltergate. I would be happy to see him back and given a chance but given our current league position, it doesn’t look like a recall would work for either Rovers or the player.
  20. Your right ! I might well be wrong but the last at the death winner I can recall was when Lenehan scored against Forest at the City Ground.
  21. I really think we need at least a point in order to really keep the momentum building on the pitch and with regard to Boxing Day and 4th January ticket sales. A win would see us all go into Christmas cockahoop.
  22. If that is right for this game, it would be total incompetence and stupidity. Surely they released 3 blocks with intention opening the full top tier capacity, subject to demand. However, this is Swag’s business acumen and management capability 🙈
  23. I’m really hoping that the tickets continue to sell well for Burnley but also hoping that the Boxing Day match sales pick up, still plenty of green availability on the day that traditionally would provide a really good local turnout.
