I have a soft spot for Town having lived there for 5 years but I don’t think you will make it, you looked a very poor side yesterday. Aside from Pears chucking one in, you created next to nothing and were wasting time from that moment onwards. We deserved more but once again got nothing from the officials. The positive for Town is that when you find yourself still in the Championship next season, you have everything now in place to move on and progress. Forget the onfield results, what we would give to just be a proper, competent, professional football club again worthy of the history and name of Blackburn Rovers.

Well, you’re much more optimistic than me. Pre match, I thought we might win today and thought we played quite well and were much the better of the two sides as Ipswich were very poor. I think a poster, or posters, with close links to the family have suggested that Adam didn’t want the move. With no knowledge, my thoughts are that he loves Rovers and would have liked to stay but financial pragmatism meant that he was never going to turn such a move down.

My pal is a Boro fan and so I went to Dumpdale with him the other week. Boro played the Knobbers off the park but somehow conspired to lose it, they looked a bit like us under JDT, played some really good stuff. I can’t see our soft lot going up there and keeping a clean sheet and so, I am expecting nothing from the game.

Don’t forget Swag was also on record as saying that relegation this year would be disastrous, it being on the cusp of the anticipated significant extra cash from the new EFL deal. You reap, what you sow and we can blame JDT, Eustace, players but relegation would be squarely at the hands of Swag and his Indian paymasters 😡

He would have taken us into the play offs, and posssibly up last year, with a modicum of backing in January. Before depletion of a paper thin squad through injuries, we were on the cusp of the play offs and playing the best football at Ewood for many a year, this on a financial shoestring. Yes, we were on a horror run but no way would we have gone down under JDT, we would have won matches and finished top half.
