  1. Staying up is all that matters, it doesn’t look like Eustace and these players will achieve this.
  2. He gets bigged up after the odd good game but he’s normally hopeless, just a poor player. Fits in really well with the rest of the dross.
  3. Is that possible ? Mowbray had me wanting to slit my wrists after most of his pre and post match ramblings.
  4. Good to know the DNA of conceding late goals is filtering right through the club 🙈
  5. On the way out last night, I was lamenting our pathetic record of grabbing something at the death and contrasted to Ipswich Town. Looked at my phone and they were losing with ten to go and once more turned it around with goals at the death. That is what tells you that a team has players fighting and believing, something we haven’t seen for a long time in the blue and white halves 😡
  6. My pal is a long time Newport County fan and really knows his stuff. When we signed O’Riordan he texted me and said he was a good player and had their CF in his pocket unlike the Man Utd defence in their recent cup tie. I think we need fresh legs and if you’re good enough, you’re old enough. With O’Riordan and Billy we would certainly have some extra height in the team, which might be useful at both ends. For me, Hyam has been exceptionally poor this season.
  7. Can we send the Pune 9 to report back 🙈
  8. I think Tronstad has to play, if fit.
  9. I would be absolutely staggered if even Swag and Greg the egg had agreed to Travis being eligible to play against Rovers. However……………….
  10. I’ve been around long enough to know that is very likely but let’s not wish it happens ! Let’s at least hope that the players put a shift in and somehow get an unexpected win.
  11. Nailed it. Average, even poor players can go a long way and get results when up for it and fighting until their last breath.
  12. Others may disagree but for me JDT had the makings of a fantastic manager. If they had only backed him in January 2023, I think we may well have gone up. This season, he had his legs taken from beneath him and was left to front a club in crisis. Despite this, until injuries and the paper thin squad was exposed we were riding high in the table and playing the best football for many years. The fact that he eventually got worn down by Swag and the off field incompetence, I certainly won’t be holding against him. He was a breath of fresh air and tried to breathe new passion, aspiration and ambition into a near dead club and a long suffering and dwindling fan base. Eventually, he may have failed but I think he gave it everything he had. For a short while it felt like we might be getting our Rovers back but as we all know, it is very difficult to beat the system / authority no matter how hard you try.
  13. Ayari looks like a decent player to me, one of the very few who actually looks like he can make things happen. Watching the warm up against Knob End, he was the only player who very casually found the net each time, whilst Gally / Dolan and others struggled to hit the target or beat the keeper.
  14. Blimey, you were Mr Super Confident at 3pm this afternoon ! Just knew it was a Swansea win when you had us down for an easy win 😂
  15. This wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I have seen Sammie look pretty pissed off when beaten at home and crowd let them know, he probably thinks leave me out of it and blame the other ten.
  16. Whenever a club needs a result to halt terrible runs, Rovers never disappoint. It really is sickening, almost unbelievable, how often we display this trait of weakness, it is almost as if it is the DNA of the club.
  17. To be fair, we might have got some undeserved results early on last season but the Gods had totally forsaken us at the business end of the season. Coventry, PNE, Burnley and Luton on the spin with everything going against us at the death, in each and every match.
  18. Virtually every week there are late goals in matches but when we need one to go in down Swansea or at Leicester, B’ham, Rotherham, fucking nada 😡
  19. Come on, just for once give us something to cheer in stoppage time.
  20. We need to finally come up with a late goal that gets us a point or better still, a win. Every other club seem to be able to manage it now and again. Without finding some resilience and capacity to come from behind, we looked doomed to relegation.
  21. We have been doing this for years now, it pervades through the club. Whenever we really need a result in a pressure situation, the performance and results are almost always dire. It is shameful.
  22. We can only pray and hope that some of these matches turn around in our favour. At the moment, relegation looks almost nailed on, we just don’t have a team of fighters.
  23. At the very least, you would think he would have his passport taken and asked to remain in Belgium until the appeal runs its course.
