  1. For me, he’s the best manager we have had since Big Sam. He gave us hope, dared to dream and connected with the fan base, for once an honest man who told it as it was. Unless this shit show is the beginning of the end for Swag and forces the Raos to sell, we will have lost our best hope and a talent manager for nowt. Thank you and farewell Jon, you did your best to deliver our Rovers back to the downbeaten fan base.
  2. Given Ennis wasn’t getting a game, I would imagine that a move to Stoke on similar, if not better money and nearer to his hometown Wolverhampton would have been a dream move. Given this, I doubt there was any requirement for us to sweeten it by paying up any of his contract.
  3. From a source who undertakes all the registrations at another EFL club very close to us, if the Fleck deal was submitted after the Maguire deal, they would have known Maguire hadn’t been submitted when they logged on to deal with Fleck.
  4. Lives just up road from me and saw him out walking the dog yesterday morning. Maximum 10 minute commute to Brockhall.
  5. Why would any sane person be interested in the said raging bin 🔥
  6. Not a cat in hells chance, Duff is extremely forthright and doesn’t suffer fools, he would be gone within the first month.
  7. It might have been typical Rovers to cock it up at the business end but no one can ignore the absolutely wretched luck we had in the run in: Consecutive games as below 90+4 Coventry keeper hand ball goal 90+4 Hyam OG at Dumpdale 90+3 Barnes handball penalty against Dingles 90+4 Szmodics shot bouncing off bar on to line against Luton. Truly unbelievable that all above happened to conspire against JDT’s team.
  8. Thanks for all your efforts and sacrifice over the years, Glen. If only our supporter base had your DNA and tenacity, we would surely find a way regain our once proud club.
  9. I was glad to see the back of him, miserable twat who time and again dumbed down our club. What JDT achieved last season with no real backing, whilst playing entertaining football and putting pride back into our fans and club is night and day with the 5 year journey to nowhere.
  10. No one was more frustrated than me about the end to last season but we had some absolutely wretched luck after the cup defeat at Sheffield Utd and the run in. After years of having our club and aspirations run down by the Teeside Curmudgeon, JDT has been a breath of fresh air. He’s a winner and doesn’t suffer fools and would have got us in the play offs and probably promoted had they got O’Brien and a striker in last January. I will be genuinely gutted if he leaves, he’s without doubt the best manager we have had for many years and will go on to great things. He is the solution and not the problem and we should all be up in arms in protest at the Stoke match if he goes and Waggott and the incompetents remain.
  11. If he goes, I will be absolutely furious. Yes, we have had a bad run and there are definite flaws, goals against and inability to come from behind. Notwithstanding, he’s head and shoulders above any manager we have had for years, plays good football and with just a bit of backing, I’m certain he would have had us in the play offs last year and quite likely, promoted. I’ve been going over 40 years and I think for me and many, this could be the last straw. I think the crowd should be really vocal in support of JDT and thanks for raising the plight of our club and the long suffering Rovers fans, those present and the huge number lost or staying away.
  12. We still don’t, the conjecture is somewhere between 12.5% and 20%. Probably the former but SWAG seemed very happy with himself declaring it the highest sell on % he had agreed or even heard of 🤷‍♂️
  13. You don’t ever get the deal detail, I would be absolutely staggered if there wasn’t a sell on clause within any sale agreement that might be reached.
  14. Wherever you take him, the notorious Sylvester and Admin team will be somewhere else 😂
  15. https://www.instagram.com/p/C2Z9j60oVoW/?igsh=d3hhNmE1enNhdW1y I know this is the wrong thread but as it is currently the most active, I thought I would post this re: BBD and Sheffield Utd. Why on earth was our commercial team / SWAG not capitalising on this 🙈
  16. Less than 18 months since I saw him make his debut at Blackpool. I really want the lad to stay but this is Blackburn Rovers 2024, he loves the club but aside from that what football or financial incentive is there for him to stay. This is what Venkys and Swag have done to our once proud club.
  17. I met him down at Brockhall, just after he signed. He towered over me, I’d have him as minimum 6ft 3 / 6ft 4 so certainly tall enough and much taller than Pears.
  18. I can understand the sentiment but he’s still the best CF at the club, by some distance. Just let that awful fact sink in 🙈
  19. These results, and recent performances are really hurting. I am still fully behind JDT, I think he has an almost impossible job given the restrictions placed on him by the owners and Swag. IMO we are now seeing the chickens coming home to roost as injuries and an extremely thin and inexperienced squad have contributed to us hitting the proverbial wall. Notwithstanding this, I believe the least we deserve from the team on the pitch is endeavour, fight and never say die attitude and with this, most of the players are falling short in spades. Things need to change and quickly, if not JDT may be gone but had he been backed, even moderately in comparison to the Teeside Curmudgeon, I am certain he would have taken us to at least the play offs.
  20. Not in a hundred years. I don’t blame JDT, he has been hung out to dry by the owners and Swag the Incompetent.
  21. I posted this a few weeks back. Poor playing on the wing, average defender but very soft, doesn’t like the physical stuff.
  22. At least you didn’t travel Jim and so we can’t blame your presence / away record.
  23. I am as hurt as anyone with consistently getting turned over at home, especially when we have played well. Notwithstanding, I think JDT is a magician to have us where we are in this league and generally competing with teams with massive financial and squad depth advantage over us. If he had the same backing as Mowbray got, I am certain he would have us promoted.
  24. He’s way off the pace at the moment but I saw some physicality and endeavour. In my opinion, we looked more threatening with him on the pitch than Harry Leonard.
  25. Why we didn’t give it a try this season, after he ran us ragged and given our financial circumstances, is both unfathomable and inexcusable.
