  1. A friend of mine who is a big Newport County fan and very knowledgeable, sent me a text when we had signed O’Riordan saying he was a very good player. Obviously, we have barely seen him in a Blue and white shirt yet but he has certainly picked him as one for the future.
  2. He will fit like a glove down at Brockhall then ! If he is that bad, why is he at Liverpool ?
  3. Great article Rich, I think you have it nailed it. For me, despite the poor form from December, JDT was the answer. He and his ambition scared the hell out of Swag and the other idiots behind the scenes at Ewood. If they had backed him last year we would have at least made the play offs and if they had backed him in the summer with a reasonable transfer kitty and salary budget, he would have taken us close again. They tried to crush his ambition and infectious enthusiasm and it became untenable for him and with him leaving, I really do worry about the future of our once great club. Scandalous.
  4. I struggle to see us taking another point. If B’ham lose mid-week but beat Norwich, they will very likely finish above us.
  5. Norwich may well have secured a play off berth by then and change the whole team. Their manager has form for doing this, indeed it was his and Huddersfield’s generosity that saw big club stay up at our expense in the Mowbray relegation season.
  6. Said the same thing when those enforced changes were made but we didn’t lay a glove on them 😡
  7. Yep, add that to their very late win at Wolves in the last round. Our record of coming from behind to grab a late equaliser or winner in a pressure match, indeed almost any match, is absolutely lamentable. We really do have a spineless bunch currently wearing the shirt but it seems endemic and pervaded for years.
  8. First class piece and is how I think all Rovers fans, those still attending and the dormant many, see it.
  9. What a post, share your thoughts and sentiments entirely.
  10. That’s fine, as long as we win 😊
  11. They will almost certainly win as well. Our chances of surviving are going to look even thinner come 5pm 🙈
  12. I just can’t see how our lot suddenly grow some balls, I’m afraid leopards never change their spots. Two wins in 20 plus games and that indefensible capitulation at Bristol suggests we have very little chance of surviving.
  13. Decent chances but didn’t even register a shot on target or require any attention from the keeper
  14. Leicester hardly had a shot on target, all the ball and created virtually nothing and keeper had very little to do. They were shocking and Plymouth did what they needed to, scored a goal and defended manfully.
  15. We aren’t good enough, we don’t have the stomach for a battle.
  16. Can you imagine our soft lads pulling out a gutsy win like that. Go to Leeds and win and I will eat my words.
  17. Leicester have been abysmal, where is the relentless pressure on the Plymouth goal. Useless twats
  18. I agree, the team is far too slow and has been for years. Last genuine pace merchant was Khadra, come back Ian ‘windy’ Miller.
  19. If we were away at City tomorrow and fielding the same team, you would still be expecting a positive result. Could do with a pint of whatever your on, Chaddy.
  20. Even with my blue and white specs on, I don’t think that was a penalty. Was still shouting at ref to give it though.
  21. Leicester have been dreadful, all the ball and created nothing at all 🙈
  22. QPR, Millwall and now behind at Plymouth, FFS ! I know which relegation threatened team they will beat 🙈
  23. FFS Plymouth being hammered for 20 minutes and first time out of their half, they go ahead 😡😡😡
  24. I’m off to the Grand National, I just can’t face travelling to Leeds or even watching it on the box. I expect only one outcome but pray that I am wrong.
  25. Secretariat will no doubt wait until a minute after the deadline and even then, ‘inadvertently’ save rather than send 🙈
