  1. Once again, guilt edged chances missed, no luck and can’t keep a clean sheet. When you see Dolan and Markandy on the team sheet, you really do worry where the goals will come from. Hopefully, Ennis might improve things should he ever be deemed fit to play a competitive game but looks like we are in for a long and tough season. Frankly staggered that the EFL appointed the referee to the match after his horrendous error, against the same opposition at Ewood last season. A decision that took our play off place and handed it to Coventry, absolutely stinks.
  2. Praying that isn’t the outcome but fear the worst. We aren’t a lucky team, we miss guilt edge chances and this one just feels like it is going the same at way as the tail end of last season and last run of matches.
  3. That is all it takes in this league, a few wins. Boro and Coventry last year were rock bottom and ended up meeting in the play offs. As we are currently experiencing, a run of losses and the reverse is true.
  4. A second for Ipswich, same MO, unbelievable.
  5. Everything Ipswich are hitting is going in, another strike from outside the box. Wish we would let it go from distance a bit more, we always trying to walk it in.
  6. Our XG is incredibly high. In most games that we have lost, the XG suggests we should have won but of course the match isn’t played on paper. We have never been a lucky team, we are missing gilt edge chances and letting really poor goals in and that is always going to result in poor outcomes and a lowly league position. The above is well illustrated by the fact that Sunderland, Cardiff and Leicester scored with pretty much every effort on target, the two recent penalties conceded and the fact that we have missed both penalties awarded to us.
  7. If they do come for him, Swag will be rubbing his hands for the compensation and then give the job to Damian Johnson 🙈
  8. I would like to see Tronstad get a game. I’m not a great fan of Travis, he is far too inconsistent, and I can’t understand why he plays the more advanced role. I realise he can’t take it on the half turn but what is he ever going to give us further forward, he just doesn’t have the creativity or goals in his locker.
  9. Given all his issues since joining, I keep forgetting that Ennis is a Blackburn Rovers player ! His playing career at the club certainly hasn’t started yet !
  10. I wouldn’t disagree with this at all but it is a toss of a coin which of Hyam or Carter to drop out, both been poor recently.
  11. I like JDT, think he is a good coach and could have easily taken us up, they just needed to give him a small amount of backing, say £3/5m and maintained the wage budget. Even as it stands, I don’t think we are far from being a good team and on our day, we can undoubtedly beat anyone in this league. Unfortunately, very little seems to run for us on the luck front and you can’t keep missing guilt edge chances and slipping sloppy goals, without being at the wrong end of the table. I am desperately hoping for a minimum 4 point haul from Coventry and QPR but in all honesty, I can’t see us turning the tide until the next Ewood fixture. Truly hope that I am wrong.
  12. Indeed, a golden age when we were on our knees and he brought us back up and then very nearly made it to the top tier the very next season. We were skint but he wasn’t bothered about taking years for a journey, just happy to make us incredibly hard to beat and loving 1 0 wins. Still remember the hurt at Eastville, we did our job that day, Kevin Stonehouse (RIP) with the goal but Preston losing to Swansea saw us miss out.
  13. I’m in Spain and can’t find a bar to watch, frustrating. Only hope is that we still somehow take a point, Dolan certainly well overdue a goal.
  14. Think it will be a decent game. On our day, we can beat any team in this league, that includes Leicester City, at Ewood.
  15. The lad who was Max in Brookside and before that in Crossroads way back, a big Rovers fan, from Snuffy Harwood if I remember correctly, did ok. Then there is the Dr Who chap 😂
  16. Amazing statistic really. I was standing next to Edmondson’s Dad & Grandad at Harrogate, obviously proud as punch when he got on and then scored. I’m really hoping that he can make it now.
  17. Just posted similar, totally agree JHRover.
  18. Couldn’t agree more, a once in a generation opportunity to sell ST and longer term fixed price ST, say 3 / 5 year discounted options. As it was, the biggest Rovers gathering in Ewood since the EPL Championship party had nothing to promote or sell, ST’s came out months later, almost into the new season. Fucking amateurs.
  19. Shameful, didn’t you take the opportunity afforded by such proximity 🤷‍♂️
  20. My guess is that is probably at least 3,000 short of what the gate would have been if Swag hadn’t shut the BBE.
  21. I quite like him but he hasn’t got the pace which would really make him a game changer.
  22. I love the manager. The Venkys and Swag are crushing our club and our spirit but at least JDT seems intent on sending a ‘fuck you’ message to them.
  23. Swag’s crazy world. I’ll close the BBE to save money on staffing and then open it up for corporate 🙈
  24. I went to the first leg at Plough Lane. I was walking to the match and was fretting that I wouldn’t make kick off, when the Rovers team coach passed me. Think they had to change on bus, I got shoved in the home end and the was walked around to join the Rovers fans and we then got hammered, I think it was 5 0 or 5 1. Those were the days 😊
