  1. Thomas not playing was a massive mistake, he has provided some width and much needed pace since arrival. Hedges was woeful and I hate having a left footer, with no right foot stuck to the right wing, makes it so easy for a full back knowing that they cannot be taken on the outside 😡
  2. Sadly, and I imagine like most seasoned campaigners, I expect us to deliver another no show tomorrow. Strangely, the only hope that I carry is that Huddersfield have won three on the trot and four on the bounce is a rarity and against the odds. However, one has to wonder whether they could have picked a better opposition to beat the odds, Rovers usually oblige.
  3. Absolutely no chance, the player picked the ball up and ran with it a long way, whilst holding JRC challenge off.
  4. I think you probably mean Mick Heaton (RIP) who had a sports shop in Brownhill.
  5. We can’t be blaming you for this no show Jim, that’s for sure. Enjoy the Emerald Isle and a few pints of the black stuff ☘️
  6. He made a good save and had little, indeed no chance with either goal. Hyam should have got a tackle in for the second goal but he dawdled and had an absolutely awful game yesterday, all over the place.
  7. Sadly, I have to agree, I just can’t see us getting anything but well beaten 🙈
  8. He perhaps wasn’t as bad as most of his teammates but hardly wonderful, hardly in game first half and never troubled the keeper despite a few chances to do so. His job is to create chances, we created very little of note.
  9. The performance was awful, cowardly almost and they gave the crowd nothing to cheer about, imo the crowd had every right to point this out.
  10. We still didn’t force the issue or exert any sustained pressure, even when both there starting CH’s were off injured.
  11. Surely anyone must be better than Gallagher, he ‘might’ work hard but he has no touch, no control, can’t head it and most importantly, simply no striker’s instinct. Awful performance today. I could have bet my house on losing at B’ham last week but today was simply shocking but unfortunately, typical Rovers. Sadly, the team are losers, until they can find a way to get back into a game after going behind, we are going nowhere. Just one point all season gained after going behind, even that was a last minute set piece, it’s a pretty damning indictment.
  12. Meanwhile, at Portman Road, Hirst scores another !
  13. Almost certainly the latter. He played fantastically well on his debut and a couple more good games and is clearly talented. JDT is best placed to make the call on whether he is really ready and can be trusted but he will almost certainly be needed this season.
  14. He was in the match day squad at B’ham but didn’t make the 18.
  15. Maybe, but we all know the games like today are the ones that we invariably struggle with.
  16. Play offs would be a real achievement. I think we as fans have a real role to play in getting us there, we need to turn up and really get behind them at Ewood in the remaining fixtures and pray we do it.
  17. Sounds like you’re willing it to happen. Despite todays result, we still have a great chance and so best to remain positive, hopefully the players don’t share your thoughts 😡
  18. Really disappointing result but sadly, one I was expecting. The real issue is that we just can’t come back from going behind and there is just so little goal threat from Gallagher / Dolan. O’Brien for Morton and a decent CF in the January window and we would have won that game. What I like about Khadra is that he isn’t afraid to have a shot from anywhere, something that we just never seem brave enough to do ☹️
  19. Just watched 20 minute highlights reel from Sheffield United. Final thoughts as below: Played well to a man, fully committed and deserved better. Without a doubt Robinson should have had a second yellow, even the Sheffield TV made the comment that he was going for card and then changed his mind. Hedges really unlucky. Diaz should have scored and any player with true striker’s instinct would have been there when Gallagher arrived late and missed it by inches. Fantastic assist from Gallagher for the goal, perfectly weighted. Awful, awful defending by Brittain initially and then 3 more, McBurney should never have been allowed that chance. I think Morton did get a finger in the eye but he should have got the ball out a foot from line or taken the man. Great game, great following. Unlucky, deserved more. Fucking hate Sheffield United. Play like that and we will make play offs
  20. Like Sorba Thomas, I think that Ndiaye was playing non league until recent years. They are still out there and don’t all have to be Paul McKinnon.
  21. Come on, every fan base has some knobs, including our regular travelling core. Just be happy that we turned out in number to support our club rather than bemoaning a few more idiots. Next, you’ll be moaning if we managed to get more on Ewood and changed the morgue like atmosphere that has prevailed for years.
  22. Just heading back, absolutely gutted. We played well but that isn’t good enough, we should have won and we didn’t. No one can question Gallagher’s effort but he just isn’t a goal scorer and also, he doesn’t seem to be a lucky player. The same happened at Leicester, Britain’s introduction cost us and once that equaliser went in, I don’t think we were ever going to have enough in the tank to win in extra time, alas we didn’t even get that chance. The referee was bloody awful, gave us nothing. I just hope that the disappointment will spur the lads on to make the play offs.
  23. Pearson is a really good player. Would have been a good shout but of course, we ‘signed’ O’Brien 🙈
