  1. Just an observation but the pro-Mowbray gang seem to spend an awful lot of time attacking people, ad hominem, for their different opinions than actually putting forward their own views. Interesting how emboldened they become after a run of 2 or 3 wins then disappear completely when normal service resumes. Always the same posters too.
  2. We’d miss a fully focussed Dack massively. Wouldn’t miss the distracted Mr Attwood. Which one will win? Still at it... https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/8895829/olivia-attwood-bra-pants-bradley-dack/
  3. True. Trav is a shoe-in for young player, and being cynical Dack being crowned player of the season will help with his value in the transfer market. He hasn’t been consistently at his best in terms of what he can do (more in patches) but he seems to have avoided criticism of the type that has come Reid and Rothwell’s way. The fact that he has kept scoring as a result of being in the right place at the right time has very much helped though. Unpopular opinion (which is actually most of my opinions ) : Unless he is prepared to bring in some better players to play with him then if someone offers £15m for Dack, I would sell, possibly for less.
  4. Certain posters on here sap the humour out of me. You didn’t used to be one.
  5. Looks like it accepts more than one vote if you quit the page and try again. Hopefully there is some kind of IP checker. On balance, I think PotS should probably go to Lewis Travis. He has gone from being a regular U23 player to a an established first teamer that most fans would pick first for CM (or certainly second after Reid). He has certainly been the story of the season. Graham has defied his age to have a great season, scoring 16, and Dack has had two great periods over the season and got 17 (both so far). But I believe our season without Travis would have been a poorer one. He certainly changed our fortunes when he came in, and has been the engine in midfield. And he is still developing.
  6. Interesting. I’ll remember that when you do the same. Although if you were looking to have a private conversation maybe messageboards aren’t the place for you. Hang in a sec, I’ve just had a notification from someone else who wants to have a pop. BRB
  7. This is why VAR cannot only be in some matches and not all. Football regulations are in a mess.
  8. Think we are at cross purposes here - at least I hope we are. You want me to give Mowbray credit for NOT getting a team into the play-offs with a team that “SHOULD”?
  9. We’ve covered all of this several times. It’s really odd though that you quote points where I have been proven correct and use this as a stick to beat me with. We cannot continue indefinitely to underachieve. Time is not on our side. I disagree that the club is any different today than the one Mowbray walked in to.
  10. I have a view that I’ve backed up with facts and examples. You are the one who relies on emotion for your views.
  11. He can’t be lauded for getting a team that “should” be in the play-offs by not doing. That’s the definition of under-achieving. Saying that, I’m not sure I agree that this squad should be in the play-offs. It could have but my beef is that in January he refused to try.
  12. Yes, I hear they have a more important dead rubber match. Why don’t people seem to get this? If the U23s needed a result to stay up then yes that would be important because it maintains PL2 Div1 status and a higher standard to blood youngsters at ahead of loan moves. But we are already safe. The development squad is just that, development, and everything is about getting the into the first team.
  13. Why do people keep belittling the idea of giving some of out top youngsters some first team experience? If not now that we are safe then when? It’s some kind of “defend Mowbray’s decision making at all costs”. Odd.
  14. He’d still pass the EFL fit and proper test.
  15. Nobody has called for a “rookie team” just a couple of youngsters given some game time.
  16. We’ve played this team already recently with success. What extra did we get today? It’s hard to see what Mowbray did differently today to make it a learning exercise. Seems a strange time to punish Raya though.
  17. Not even that according to wiki. Blimey, that was a poisoned chalice. Must be backing himself to get them back up.
  18. Bradford in the third highest average gate in League One (second but for the Sunderland anomaly), and have finished in the top half in each the last five years, play-offs twice. Now relegated bottom of the league. Surely that isn’t just down to Bowyer’s shortcomings.
  19. You do wonder how things will pan out with Bassini.
