  1. We aren’t going down from here mate. We could lose every game and still stay up. Rotherham would need to win 4 from the following 7... Forest, Villa, Stoke, Swansea, Birmingham, West Brom, Boro. No chance.
  2. I had you down as ‘onside but overruled’.
  3. Just seen the highlights. Their second goal was a shocker and ours was a de facto Mulgrew free kick. Its pretty damning of Mowbray that after four windows we still rely on Dack, Graham and Mulgrew for our goals.
  4. Aaarrrrgggggh! I started this thread and asked for a poll two weeks ago. K-Hod was going to add one (couldn’t on his phone) and next minute somebody merged the thread with the old one and simply kept the new title.
  5. Are you looking for something more sophisticated than “but he got us promoted from League One”?
  6. Too much apathy around the club. Certainly among the fanbase. There will be some who believe a 2-1 defeat to Villa is a result.
  7. Not going to happen. A poll was in the offing two weeks ago and someone overruled the gang.
  8. If Bennett can’t play CM in the Championship, he’s finished. Get him some pom-poms and a tu-tu and stick him on the touch line.
  9. What happens now is almost irrelevant. It’s frustrating that TM won’t change his approach and won’t take a look at the youngsters but his future (and Rovers’) rests on what happens in the Summer window. Personally I would be casting the net now because I’ve no faith that next season won’t be worse than this one.
  10. The response is “Back to basics” and unimaginative, defensive-yet-ineffective team selections. Rinse, repeat.
  11. Feel like I’ll be reading about Davenport in ‘Where are they now?’ before any match thread! The thing about “containing Villa” is that it is so profoundly negative. Villa will play football and come out to attack us. In recent times this has been good for us as we take advantage of a more open game with the space left at the back. Mowbray looking to park the bus with a team that ships goals for fun and offer little attacking threat is a recipe for defeat. Doesn't instil much faith in Mowbray changing his philosophy any time soon. I can see the long balls being pinged up to Graham and coming back without the need for any red button.
  12. Only one reason for that. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jack-grealish-another-big-reason-16052286
  13. Conway, Bennett, Graham, and sun-tanned-Dack have started today. You seriously think we couldn’t have played two youngester instead of two of them? Rothwell for Dack, Brereton for Graham? Chapman for Conway? Butterworth (or even Rodwell) for Bennett? The defence virtually picks itself if Lenihan is fit but we have options elsewhere. Dack could have had an extra week in Dubai.
  14. It’s last season’s League One side plus Travis. Mowbray will have a clearout over the Summer but I predict that it will be the likes of Nuttall, Rothwell, Rodwell, Reed who leave while Conway, Evans and Smallwood remain as our older heads with different youngsters brought in. Should we really be giving Mowbray the chance to repeat his 2018/19 approach next season just with different faces?
  15. It’s more important to give Craig Conway a run out than stick a Buckley or Butterworth in there.
  16. Euro qualifier in a hostile country for under 20s youngsters getting their debuts, with the world watching. England expecting. A dead rubber end of season match with nothing to play for and not even covered on red button. Nobody expecting anything. If not now, then when?
