What's the story with the confirmation of the Leeds Boxing Day fixture? Is that just that it will definitely be a 3pm on that day, and WON'T change now? Similarly, the home Leeds fixture is police advice I guess? Nothing to do with being televised, at this stage anyway? Hoping to do them both (with a sibling rivalry re-ignited this season). Would be handy to know the away game is set in stone now.

Putting it out there; has Marcelo shat himself?

Seems a solid start to our business. Regularly gets into the area. Incidentally, he scored his first goal in a 5-1 win over Bury last year. The division shouldn't be completely alien to him. Welcome on board Joe.

Yeh, that was my first thought. I seem to recall Glen Mullen was assistant manager that day too....

He was back up on his feet in less than three days too

Looks more verdigris and onyx to my eye.

I fancy Denmark to surprise a few and exceed expectations. If I was being greedy I might even say some good each way value there at 125/1 for a top 4 finish.

Who needs Zidane when you have Bradley Dack

24th May 2017; And Mowbray has returned with the answers he required, including the assurances he does not need to cash in on any of his current squad and that funds will be provided for Blackburn's promotion push. "I've had really positive meetings with the owners," he said on BBC Radio Lancashire. "I've had three meetings with them over the last three days and got some reassurances. I find them to be most supportive. "I know there's issues but from my perspective they've been very supportive and I think they're going to show some financial support for us to try and ensure we have a really strong season next year and bounce back as soon as we can." Business as usual....

Some people would pay good money for that kind of treatment

He's currently the joint 5th top goalscorer in our division. If Jack Marriott were to depart Peterborough this month, it would leave him only 2 goals off top-spot Incredible stats, allied to the fact he's also more than likely the best defender in the division. Invaluable to us -
I haven't read anything on how this will function in football, but I would much prefer a system whereby the referee would ask 'Can you give me an obvious reason to change my decision'. If they can't, flawed or not, they return to the original decision.

So the enforced break doesn't seem to have affected the juggernaut. Just keep banging those 3 points out and everything will fall into place. -

It's a great sign of how well things are going that I have zero interest in other side's scores (bar maybe Wigan). You can be sure their little sphincters are twitching at our glorious form though. -

In his 'defence' regarding the penalty decision - he was terrible all night, to both sides. That is the kindest thing I could muster of that referring performance. Not that we were particularly great for most of the game, but a real shame for Corry. It will be his defining career moment to the Northern Irish public, and he doesn't deserve that. A massive, massive hill to climb now - in all honesty insurmountable. The slim positives; we can't play much worse than that, and perhaps that decision will have a galvanising effect. In reality, the tie is dead in the water. But despite that, from a pool of around 30 professional players to select from, Michael O'Neill has preformed miracles, and will be moving on to some exciting things in the near future either way. -
Only one confusing bit. Mercer always tells us that he's kept in constant supply of red wine by betting on us to win all the time. Or the partners are raking it in betting on us to constantly lose. A quick glance at the league table will tell you which one I believe.

We can only hope it comes to pass, to carry on his father's football legacy. I'll be waiting with bated breath for the big announcement from the Edinho residence. These 3 year contracts won't wait around forever.

The Matty Burrows goal for Glentoran is on the list for the Fifa Ballon d'or Puskas Award, which will pick the best goal of the year. I'd imagine he'll enjoy his night out at the awards sat beside fellow candidate Leo Messi. -

RIP Ronnie, a true Rovers great. Nice to watch his and Dougie's love for their club in 67Splitscreen's video. True legends.

Has Belfast film-maker found time travel evidence? "A Belfast film-maker has posted a video on the internet showing what he says could be evidence of time travelling. George Clarke from east Belfast has been puzzled for more than a year by a scene in a film which appears to show a woman talking on a mobile phone. The unusual thing is that the movie was made by Charlie Chaplin in 1928 - long before mobile phones were invented. In the eight days since George posted the clip on Youtube - more than 1.5m people have viewed the video online........." -
Nice little schooling for the Turkish maestro before returning to Lancashire to take the helm of his spiritual abode. Would be a tough decision for him to leave Gala if at some stage Rovers were to offer him an assistant manager / manager role. Imagine Tugay at the touchline, cigarette in hand, expensive designer suit and ponytail. He'd have to be pretty damn bad for the Ewood faithful to turn on him!

My grandfather helped to make DeLoreans here in Northern Ireland where they were produced for the DeLorean Motor Company. Not aware of him ever producing a time machine however. I remember watching Back to the Future Part III at the cinema. Probably my earliest cinematic memory.
