  1. Saha handled the ball to Smith actually. Not sure what highlights you were watching. EDIT: Apparently I have to put that bellamy11 is typing this just in case offense is taken.
  2. It was remembrance day here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembrance_day
  3. I don't think they ever followed the idea through, but at the back of the academy (well training ground now) there is an area which has little brick walls built up. The idea of it all was exactly what has been said - for kids just to run round and play in a 'street-like' environment.
  4. They didn't really when we won the league in '95. Wasn't our average attendance the year after still something like 27,000? Still not justification enough to build another new stand
  5. Also with the hotel we've rather much missed out. When Bolton built theirs it was perfect because there wasn't anywhere else to stay around there and it has very quick and easy routes to elsewhere via the motorway junction and the train station. (althoug there is now a travelinn) But at Rovers even if we did build a hotel we'd be competing with the starlodge which is attached to the Furnhurst and the travelinn at the new Darwen services.
  6. To be fair it turned out to be a 4-4 draw with Accy winning on penalties!!
  7. I spoke to the lady at the ticket office today. Basically she said that they were all going to be processed in date order (with those who have been to Salzburg and Krakow being done first), and that if you've already given your form in you'll get a ticket.
  8. Wasn't a lucky victory either. Chesterfield played well and at one point in the second half were hammering the West Ham goal. Bad defending especially for the second goal. However it only makes me even more nervous about sunday!
  9. Didn't Nolan get a yellow and a straight red. So he misses the next one cos it was a straight red (the fa made the ban for the red 2 games), then he's banned for a 3rd game because he accumulated 5 yellows
  10. As soon as you've pressed 1 for the ticket office press 9. It used to go straight through but now there is a short message about being a member. It lasts for about 15 seconds only.
  11. I've may have cracked this one this time. At the top of my form i've written PLEASE POST TICKETS so hopefully they'll understand this time
  12. I really wouldn't expect an email response any time soon. Last time I sent the TO an email I got a reply two weeks later. When I give in my application form the other day, the woman took my bank card details and put them on the bottom of the form ready to be processed. So I'd assume you could do that or give a cheque.
  13. Maybe its just so busy they can't employ enough people to man the phones
  14. Krakow was excellent thank you! It is a very nice town that you have. The square in the old town is impressive with all its bars and restaurants - this is where we spent most of our time (no surprise there). We also visited the boat bar on the river - Aquarium I think it was called - on thursday night and had an ace time watching a band that can only be described as traditional! Got to do a little bit of sightseeing on the friday morning - went up to the castle where we met a fire breathing dragon before bellamy11 and sleepyjack killed a knight Overall had a really good time despite the traumer we had on thursday morning
  15. Just one thing....why has it suddenly decided to tell us that it doesn't work in firefox when it clearly still does?? Seems a bit odd to me.
  16. Radio Rovers? Rovers World etc, I'm sure if you look round the internet hard enough there's plenty of places. This site also has a chat room which I know people go to during games, so even if you don't have commentary other people can relay messages. Rovers do a minute by minute commentary for all games on the official site : http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...~916003,00.html
  17. Sounds alright to me that Martin. Personally I want us to go as far as we can in all competitions. I know we'll end up playing lots of games (and it'll cost us a lot more money) but the further we go the better.
  18. btw Kevin Nolan has just been given a 3 match ban
  19. Yes they can. There are plenty of people on here who probably didn't see the game, who instead listened to it on the radio, watched a text commentary etc etc but still give an opinion. But you keep making widely innacurate statements like 'we played woefully' when you aren't basing it on anything and people who did see it know its just not true. Then making up a big story about how you did come to watch the game, but then you didn't etc etc - just making yourself look silly.
  20. Just a little bit!!! We could actually hear it up in the family stand!!
  21. Haha!! I've never actually seen it happen. But it seems that near enough every day there's some daft sod in the Manchester Evening News complaining about them bollards. Then the next day there is someone else telling these people not to be so stupid trying to drive through bollards, and so it goes on like a pantomime.
  22. Not that hopeful about that really! I was listening to some of the bonehead Bolton fans on the train last night arguing with this Rovers fan saying that even if the tickets had been £35 they'd have still filled the whole end
  23. I'm sure a few years ago there was talk of having a joint tv channel with Bolton and Everton I think it was. But I really don't think there is the demand....they must need a fair few people paying £7/month or whatever it is, just to break even. But for me Rovers World is worth it
  24. We're stopping http://www.hotelyboulevard.nl/ Looks ok and is quite reasonable
  25. We did better than that! Yorkshireman in shock beer round buying!! (13 beers!!) Its not the best photo but I think just about everyone took one
