1 year contracts are normal, thatsw what everyone usually gets. In fact it is discouraged to sign anything more than a one year contract. Because if you sign say a 3-4 year one, the club hold the power over you. Just say after a year your kid is not playing very often there's nothing you can do because the club hold his registration papers. He can't play for a normal town club side nor go for trials at a different club unless they permit it. And at 10-11 years old, thats a rubbish situation to be in.

The football may not have been the most thrilling at times butl I enjoyed every minute of it. We spent 4 weeks in Germany and it was the best experience ever. The whole organisation and atmosphere of Germany was fantastic - the people over there couldn't have been any more friendly and helpful. In a way Im glad that Germany got as far as they did because it kept the interest up right until the end. Although one of my best moments was the Germany v Italy game. We watched it at Westfalenhallen which was an ice hockey / event arena. Just before the game they played 'We are the champions' to which the 15,000 Germans joined in with. They were all having a great party until Italy went and scored and the mood totally changed.

Not necessarily true. Last season my friend got her season ticket in September missing the first two games. You still have to pay the full price for it though even if you've missed a couple.

Watched the game in a pub in Munich with Sydney Rovers and some of his buddies. Though that Australia played ok without being brilliant. Whether or not Brazil are playing up to thier best, they're still better than most other teams. I think Aussies will easily beat Croatia and qualify.

I had £1.80 on England:D - it was all I could cobble together to take the the betfred up the road!! Its always good to have a look around what everyone is doing. All bookies are doing some kind of special offer. At laddy's we're doing top class doubles and trebles which are quite good (I think they do them on bluesq also) - where they make a combined price for the 3 games of the day which is more than the normal treble. Its not much of a difference, but if you're putting £300 on like sg194 it does make a difference.

I'm looking forward to this one - it's gonna be the first game I'm not sat watching at Ladbrokes! One thing that we can take from the first few games is that no game seems to walkovers like people thought. I think Portugal will win but only just.

I've heard something similar explained before - can't remember by whom though. He was going on about because teams ie Man U, Arsenal, Newcastle (Chelsea weren't anywhere near at the time) are better, then they should win more and be entitled to get more of the decisions their way to make sure they stay better. Isn't the start of the Italian season always a farce anyway? If I remember correctly each team has to negotiate their own TV deal and the league cannot start without each team having a deal.
