  1. Do you think so? Possibly at the time with JDT in charge but Eustace wanted experienced players so one or both of the two players would still would of been signed. Carter, Hyam then another experienced player would mean Phillips would have been third or fourth choice at best
  2. That maybe the case but he doesn't say that. He says he does not give a toss which entirely different argument
  3. Something went on at half time of the Wednesday game that saw a change in the players mentality that has been carried over. What that was we dont know but Id say the style of play hasn't changed a great deal from Eustace's day to be honest. Time will tell if this is prolonged or not
  4. Be careful to judge off one game. We can go back to the Middlesborough game to give you the total opposite view.
  5. I think it depends on if you think Philips would have played every game here if he stayed. Personally I dont think he would of so I think it would not a made a difference if he stayed or went as I think he'd played about the same number in the Championship here or away from here so it is irrelevent but because he will get a better exposure to the International Set up linked to a 'top' six side than being registered to a Championship side.
  6. I dont think it is odd. I know people on here think it is a forgone conclusion that the majority of the fanbase think that the club is rotten to the core but you need to ask yourselves why the protests aren't gaining traction. I think it is right that before the website throws its weight behind the coalition then it needs a mandate for its members. IMO all supporters have differing opinions. Chaddy takes a battering on here at times warrented other times not but it is good that we are not the same. It is good that it is not assumed that the members on here are of the same opinion.
  7. If you dont give a toss why come on here and tell us? Those who do give a toss dont need to know and others who dont give a toss are unlikely to be on this page so I can only imagine it is to wind people who give a toss up
  8. Personally I thought it doubtful if Toth would get there before the Millwall forward so he choose right
  9. Actually think it is the ability of the other members of the squad to adapt to the strengths of either forward which makes it questionable. If we had pace down the flanks or players with crossing ability then both Yuki and Gueye would both benefit but we haven't so both have their weaknesses show up more.
  10. Souness had that brief when he first came in. He experimented with different formations etc but this was constructive and he tried to coach. This fellow just does none of this.
  11. It was the fans hand gesture after Travis response that I was expecting it to escalate. I agree the fans anger is justified and I understand the fan was venting his anger but personally abusing a player is not right.
  12. I was walking past the fan, when Travis had a go back. To be honest I was surprised Travis bit back but Id have smacked the fan though if I was Travis
  13. Because they've sold all the playing staff with value, now need new revenue streams
  14. Its OK we'll cut the number of chances he'll miss....we wont create that many for him to miss
  15. I agree to a point but there is also a train of thought he should have come and took ball and Simms. It also showed when your luck is out. There mis hit shot landed on the head of their striker our mis hit shot went so far wide it nearly ended up as a back pass to our keeper.
  16. Are they really positives? Both their strikers scored and they won 2-0.
  17. Gueye was easily Rovers' MOM and he did a lot more in the game but they both did little except scoring.
  18. Rhodes cost more than Brittain and Hyam combined. Plus how much did Murphy, Best and Etuhu cost, considering wages etc and Dack arriving in the First Division. I agree that they have resisted paying out generally but there are more than the two periods you mention when money has been forthcoming.
  19. If improving was the case the first 11 would become the squad fillers
  20. Sneak Forshaw's name out for this week then the week after next Tyler Morton signs. Morton doesn't seem as bad an option then compared to Forshaw
  21. I'd give NHS Direct a call! Im afraid no repeat of last year's miracle Leeds 2-Rovers 0
  22. Im sure Rovers played that season at St James with Newcastle managed by Ardiles mid week and the gate was 8,500 although it could have been the season before
