  1. Due too FFP, we can't afford that!!!
  2. I said that but the original question was about Final Delivery?
  3. They probably would off but lets not forget the terms of engagement have changed. The cheapest players now are probably on the wages that JW/JW faced. I agree that Williams probably have increased the income sources that we need but I still maintain that the agents hold the power. Having too many players whose contracts are ending at once was always going to bring the club facing down a barallel. Do the three players have the same agent btw?
  4. Having watched the goal again he played the percentage ball but I still dont think it can be used as good example. Anyway the outcome was right so he can tell me to shut the F*** up and I'm wrong. Lets enjoy the win. There was actually another option which Im gald he didnt try and go and slot it in at the near post.
  5. Maybe but after all the bad news around the club maybe a little optimism is what the supporters require!
  6. With three defenders and the keeper between Nyambe and BBD. If we were defending in that position Id be very disappointed if my keeper pushed that out. Maybe Im being a little harsh on Nyambe but I still maintain it is not a good example of a good final ball. A good final ball to me must find a player in Blue n White directly not rely on a degree of luck
  7. Then drive the incentive, double the win bonus, goals scored etc.
  8. How can you disagree? He puts the ball across the six yard box, the nearest Rovers player was Buckley approaching the penalty spot. The keeper then pushes the ball out to Buckley. Dont get me wrong Nyambe did brilliantly to get in the position but the final ball was not a good example of the how Nyambe's final ball has improved. Nyambe had a good game and as the game went one he had plenty of attacking play but his final ball still needs some work.
  9. The keeper really should have held Nyambe's cross. Did he pick anyone out? No. To use that as an argument about end product really does not hold up too well
  10. As you say the better players were desirable but in most circumstances, when a club called and a player wanted to leave we ended up selling. End of contract never came into the equation. The player got his way. I grant you I can only remember Neill keeping his options open to the end but the players usually held the power. The Colin Hendry fiasco where he signed a contract one day to change his mind the day after and forced a move to Rangers proved that the players held power and even the great Mr Williams could not control that. The issue is that we have so many player's contracts up at once. The fact that so many players are waiting just goes to show how big a mistake that is.
  11. Yes its a great example. Lucas wanted to leave for a better deal. He refused a better deal and got the deal HE or his agent wanted. I used it as Gav said the even great John Williams would not allow these incidents to happen. I was just proving that in times past the club cannot control it. Granted I can't remember so many being up at once nor am I defending the present Rovers staff just pointing out that it has happened before. What became of Neill after or where he went to is irrelevent. Some may say his bankruptency as Karma
  12. Massive promotion bonus and premiership wages if we go up would be ideal to dangle in front of the players. Then its a question of if they believe in themselves or the squad.
  13. Remember Lucas Neill? Even the great John Williams could not stop player power when they want to run their contract down.
  14. How and why does Mowbray bring doom back? The please come and buy my star player mantra is just like last season with Armstrong? Why cant he keep his mouth shut and let us enjoy the moment.
  15. The only place that Dack fits in the team is as a sub. He cannot displace anyone automatically that will undo all the work to unite this group of players. Bucko cannot be dropped.
  16. Only citicism is that possibly the change maybe could of been made earlier
  17. Granted not been in the playoffs but we've been up and around the playoffs, nicely placed then by the end of the season finishing mid to low table. I said this season feels different but you can't blame us pessimists from not getting carried away based on past seasons experiences.
  18. For those singing that Mowbray is the mosiah have short memories. We've been here before, on a run and fans begin to think there is a chance. Then the wheels come off. But this season feels different, since the Fulham game momentum and confidence seems to be building. Three clean sheets on the run is something new. Previous seasons we would have been bullied and lost yesterday. Memories of the 2nd half against Luton. I will give Mowbray credit, yesterday Browne and Whiteman were getting on top and he brought Johnson on. It allowed Travis to nulify Browne and Johnson took Whiteman out of the game. Like when we came out of the third level, Mowbray has come across a formation that works by hook or crook.
  19. I'd say that game reflected more on the keeper that night.
  20. I'd be very careful........remember a certain Danny Murphy?
  21. That's true if Nymabe's 'fitness' issues were all genuine. If what many of us on here think is true and Ryan was made a scapegoat for the more experienced player's mistakes then other clubs will be aware and will take a chance. I believe with better coaching he could make a premiership player or a top championship one. This reminds me at the Raya situation. The hope for JRC worries me, he genuinely looks a crock.
  22. Wasn't Flybe floated on the stock exchange in 2010 so hadn't the Walker family already started to sell off the family silver? Flybe was based in Exeter before it went bust and indeed also sponsored Exeter City.
