  1. I think Preston will get at least a point tonight meaning Leicester will need something on the final day to win the title. Even if they don't, we're not getting anything there so I don't think it matters. We're totally reliant on one of the teams below us not winning. It's therefore not in our hands on the final day in reality. I'll personally be keeping a very close eye on the Plymouth game as I think that's the key one.
  2. Norwich won't put the reserves out against Birmingham next week now after the Hull result tonight. They are still not guaranteed a play off spot, an 8 goal swing in Hull's favour and they would miss out. Yes, very improbable but you do not take any risk putting out the reserves and getting smashed by Birmingham, who did beat Cov 3-0 recently, knowing that Hull score a hatful of goals and are up against a poor team in Plymouth. I think the result tonight probably sends Birmingham down.
  3. Same here. Hull score bagful of goals and are good away. The incentive of getting a top 6 spot as well means this will be an incredibly tough game for Plymouth. Exactly what we wanted. Also means Leicester can win the title before we play them which significantly boosts our chances of getting something against them.
  4. Brilliant result. That equalier could be the difference between us staying up and going down imo. Hull will be desperate to beat Plymouth now and Norwich are not mathematically there so probably will go full strength against Birmingham.
  5. Come on Hull. We need them to get at least a point tonight. That will make it very tough for Plymouth to beat them next week.
  6. Whatever happens next Saturday, Eustace simply has to go. Not a single home win since he took charge, and we've never really looked like getting one either. We are set up to try and get a 0-0 every game and never look like scoring. It's appalling. Yes, we have very poor players but so do QPR and Sheff W, but their managers have transformed them.
  7. When we only took 2 points from the games against Swansea (A), Millwall and Plymouth (both H), I would have snapped your hand off to be in our position going into the final day. Odds very much in our favour. It would be a huge shock if we went down from this position.
  8. I fear for Plymouth after those results today. Hull will still mathematically have a chance of getting top 6 next week even if they lose today, although realistically they'll be out of it with GD. I think they'll throw everything at it and go for goals. That spells big trouble for Plymouth as Hull are very good going forward and good away from home.
  9. Although it's very disappointing we didn't win that one, I actually feel more confident of staying up now that I did before the game. We have to lose, Sheff W draw or win, Birmingham win, and Plymouth win for us to down. That feels an unlikely scenario but I'm furious that we haven't finished the job today.
  10. Need Hull to get a result later so that they and Norwich need a result next.
  11. Nervy final day now which is very disappointing. It could have been much worse today though. Gonna need a big set of results to see us go down next week. Plymouth and Birmingham really in the brown stuff.
  12. Biggest second half for many, many years. Lose and we are pretty much down.
  13. Brum winning. We have to win today. Nightmare results so far.
  14. Need to hope we can sneak a point here and either Sheff W or Birmingham lose. That's most likely the best outcome we can hope for tonight. Have a feeling Coventry are gonna smash us though seeing their line up and how poor we are.
  15. Full strength Coventry team. I knew the "we may need to play the youngsters" line from their manager earlier this week was utter nonsense. Very unlikely we get anything today.
  16. Huge game and huge opportunity today. Come 5pm we could either be mathematically safe or be in the bottom 3, that's how big a day it is. We face an out of form, tired team with fitness and injury issues who have nothing to play for. You don't get many opportunities like that to get 3 points. I have absolutely no faith in our group of players though, so I'm fully expecting a defeat. I think O'Hare, Haji Wright, and Simms will be far too good for us. Rovers 0 Coventry 2
  17. Robins saying he may have to play the youngsters on Saturday due to injuries and fitness issues. I don't believe a word of that.
  18. Coventry lose. No doubt that result helps us. A tired team and now one that has nothing to play for. Big opportunity for us to get 3 points on Saturday. I have very little confidence we'll even get a point though.
  19. Hull 1 up. Hull could have a significant part to play in keeping us up. They win tonight and Coventry are out if it. They win on Saturday against Ipswich and it would mean Leiceter will almost certainly be promoted by the time we play them. Going into the final day, Norwich would need a result against Birmingham to secure a place in the play offs whilst Hull would be desperate to beat Plymouth to have a chance of getting into the play offs. Come on Hull basically! I have more faith in Hull doing their bit to keep us up than I do in our players.
  20. Coventry resting a lot of players tonight which probably means they'll be fresh for us on Saturday. Great!
  21. You are allowed to give a player credit for having a good game. I don't remember anyone saying he was a good keeper though. He's proven time and time again that he's an incredibly poor GK but he has had a small number of decent games this season.
  22. I still wouldn't have Leo in goal. That's how bad I think he is!
  23. Pears is dreadful and has made the worst GK error in the entire league yesterday BUT he's undroppable. The alternative is Leo who is not even conference level. At least Pears does have the odd good game like he did against Leeds. Both are the worst GKs we've ever had though. Telalovic is the worst striker we've ever had and this is probably the worst bunch of loan players we've ever had. Not a huge surprise we are where we are when you factor in all those things.
  24. If we lose this one and Birmingham win their game at Huddersfield then we are screwed. They'd go above us on GD and there's no way we're bettering their result on the final day. Even if Birmingham draw against Huddersfield and we fail to beat Coventry, which is very likely, it means we have to get something at Leicester. Birmingham will beat Norwich who will rest a few players. Plymouth and Sheff W have winnable games so they will get the required points. It's between us and Brum I think. I think they find a way and we go down. A tired Coventry still have far more quality than we do so I expect us to lose. Yesterday's result was a complete disaster after things were looking so positive after the Leeds result. The odds of 9/1 on us to go down were too tempting to me so I have done a mercer! Those odds will tumble after the weekends games.
