  1. A point ahead of Norwich with TWO games in hand. Think the injuries they suffered at Ewood have killed them off.
  2. Absolutely top notch player on the ball. His touch and vision is premier league class. He's probably a bit too casual out of possession and too lightweight to start games regularly at the moment. He's perfect for games like today though when you know the opposition will park the bus.
  3. Almost a perfect set of results for us (Preston aside). Still in the top 6 which I didn't expect after our draw earlier. Happy with that.
  4. Please hang on to these results and do us a big favour. Very favourable so far.
  5. Outstanding second half display. One of the best of the season? Rankin-Costello is some player.
  6. Game over and possibly our play off hopes too. Still, a miracle that we're even in the play off picture with this squad.
  7. Priorities for the summer presuming we're still a championship club: Striker, CM, LB, Sorba, Diaz replacement. If we achieve the dream of reaching the prem league then we'd need a very busy summer. Not many are good enough for the prem. Maybe the centre halves and that's it.
  8. I agree. I think it's a big IF he's here next season. Speculation that he no longer speaks to GB after the Jan transfer window. I think one of them will leave before the start of next season (hopefully GB).
  9. Still gutted that we got so close but missed out. However, also very proud and excited that our club is on the way back. For the first time, I genuinely think we'll be a prem club again in the not too distant future.
  10. Gutting. I'm a big fan of JDT but his subs cost us today. Completely blew it.
  11. Excellent set of results for us today.
  12. That was a huge win for us last night where we answered a lot of questions. I wasn't sure how we'd respond after a battering at Stoke and then when it went 1-1 I feared we'd drop 2 points. In the end, we obviously went onto win late on and both Norwich and West Brom dropped points. We can now enjoy the quarter final knowing we'll still be in the top 6 next time we play in the league.
  13. Not a good weekend for us with our result yesterday and results not going our way today. The Reading game is massive for us on Wednesday. I hope we don't go on a losing run now after we've got ourselves into a good position.
  14. This is like watching the Leicester v Rovers game again. Sadly we are Leicester in the equation tonight. They are quicker, stronger, and more slick than us. We'll be fortunate to keep it to two. Still, after 5 wins in a row we were due an off night.
  15. Absolutely brilliant. Feels like we're finally on our way back. That was no fluke tonight, we were just far better in every department.
  16. Best performance for many years. JRC looks absolute class.
  17. JDT has his critics but he knows how to get results. Fantastic job he's doing here despite the dearth of attacking quality
  18. 8 points from the last 4 games. Great stuff! First time in 10 years that we've had good defenders. What a difference it makes.
  19. He's definitely improved. But agree with your wider point that expectations have been downgraded since Venkys came in.
  20. Biggest thing from yesterday was Diaz scoring again. Him and Dack are the only source of goals in our team so we need them to both be on form to have a sniff of top 6. Also, since when did Pears become a good GK? He's really upped his levels.
  21. Two very tough away games, two very good results. Still feel the football is unwatchable but credit where it's due for two good results.
  22. Good result and performance. Travis and Carter were superb. Diaz has lost his magic though.
  23. Vale dropped from the squad entirely which is a good move. That should be a permanent decision. Lots of pace up top today and set up for counter attacking football. I don't rate our back five - Pears, Rankin-Costello, Carter, Wharton, Pickering - is very average.
  24. Have a feeling we may win today. I think it suits us when we're facing teams who will have more possession than us.
