  1. I'd say the worst result of the season.
  2. It's all very frustrating given what a good position we were in to at least get the play off - now we're outsiders and the odds are against us. There are certainly criticisms of the manager to be had but we are missing a huge amount of attacking talent at the moment - Breo, Dack, Khadra, Poveda, Markanday. With one or two of those on the pitch last night we would have won. Attacking options of Gally, Giles and Vale is just not good enough. But why did we not sign another striker in Jan, why have we gone back to Tony Tombola with square pegs in round holes. We have big problems in the summer with SIX first team players departing - Nyambe, Breo, Lenihan, Rothwell and two brighton loaness. That's a lot of talent that will be very hard to replace.
  3. We played pretty well but you just knew we were never gonna score. Millwall were absolutely dreadful yet we still couldn't score. Mid table finish again probably.
  4. Boring. Only three goals THIS YEAR.
  5. Decent half overall as we've controlled the game. We just look very weak up top. No quality at all. Can't help but feel Giles is being played well out of position and there are no words for Gally. He works hard but he's not a footballer.
  6. How is Gally a professional footballer?
  7. I sadly agree. As much as I want promotion, we'd be the worst team in prem league history.
  8. Way too easy for Fulham. Game over already. We really are a dire watch these days. No attacking quality at all.
  9. Fully deserved. Dominated from start to finish. Great win.
  10. Impressive performance so far. Surely we're gonna score in the second half.
  11. There's no doubt TM has done a great job this season with a very limited squad. We do have some very talented players but the problem was always going to be when we picked up injuries to key players. The formation and the tactics are exactly the same as they were when we were winning games but it's a big ask for the same players to perform at high levels across the entire season. That's why we always see the inevitable drop off around Feb time. We needed to sign some attacking quality in Jan but we didn't. I agree with the post above that TM will probably decide to go bid farewell to the club in the summer. It's going to be a summer of rebuilding the squad and I don't think TM has the appetite for that. I'm hoping we can sell Diaz for 20m (although that may be a big stretch after a poor second half of the season) and we can invest in some good talent. We will lose half our team in the summer if you include the two brighton loanees, so it's a complete re-set and a good time for a new manager to come in.
  12. They're good questions. Mowbray is a safe pair of hands and a real steady eddy. He probably won't get us promoted but its unlikely we'd go down him either. His successor could go either way, I don't have any faith in the decision makers at the club. I do think there will be a mutual parting of the ways in the summer..
  13. TM post match comments: "I don't think we're a great football team". That's a big understatement. We can't even pass the ball or retain possession. That's tolerable when it's effective and you're winning games but is awful to watch when the results are not going so well. I don't enjoy watching this team but they do give it their all.
  14. Top 6 looking very unlikely now. We've crashed and burned as usual at this stage of the season. We'll probably win the final few games of the season when the top 6 is out of reach. That's usually what we do.
  15. QPR come from behind to win with 10 men, we lose against 10 men. Rubbish.
  16. Unbelievable but anyone really surprised? We're useless..
  17. Will this be 2 goals in 9 games? That's shocking really.
  18. I think 5th place is where we'll finish. We gave ourselves a good points buffer and our form surely has to turn at some point. Plus the teams below us are not that great either. Forest or Middlesbrough will go up via the playoffs I reckon. They have the best managers. I wouldn't rule us out though as we are a very strange team that has the ability to surprise.
  19. I don't think the contract situations help but I think it's more a case of us having a small squad and some players running on empty. It was always going to be difficult for Diaz to keep up his amazing goalscoring form. That was our main source of goals but they've now dried up. There's not a lot of goalscorers in our squad generally. That's the main source of the problem. Selling Diaz in the summer and buying 2-3 good attacking players will make us far stronger imo.
  20. A very tough game and a high probability that another loss is on the cards. The form of a lot of our players has dipped. Two goals in 7 games is the most alarming stat of all, we have zero quality going forward at the moment which is a real concern. First goal is absolutely crucial tonight. Without Lenihan our defence is usually all over the place but let's hope for a good result.
  21. Very good news! One of the best gks in the league so its vital we kept him. If we can keep the core squad together and add some attacking quality then we'll be a strong team in seasons to come. That's a big if though.
  22. Season is imploding. WBA up next with a new manager taking charge of his first home game...another loss on the cards. Top 6 suddenly looking unlikely.
  23. Turgid stuff again. Absolutely no ideas going forward. Defence looking shaky too. This is more like the Rovers we've been used to over the past 10 years. Top 2 disappearing very quickly. Conceding the first goals means we won't win. Zeefuik has been woeful.
