  1. 3 clean sheets in 21 games. That says it all.
  2. Soft goals time and time again. You don't get anywhere in football if you can't defend. TM is very lucky to still be in a job. He wouldnt be at a club with competent owners.
  3. Nicko saying there's a bit about us in the paper tomorrow and replied to a question about TM with "needs results..and soon". He's changed his stance from a week ago when he said TM was well protected. I suspect he's heard something to change his mind. Could the owners finally have lost patience?
  4. Looking at the upcoming fixtures, we're bang in trouble. A relegation fight ahead. We should be ok but what a hopeless season.
  5. The regression continues. Terrible result against a poor side. Didnt watch the game and won't be for the rest of the season.
  6. I think that TM will resign at the end of the season, probably along with Waggot. That's my hunch. TM has dropped hints recently to suggest he won't be here - comments he made around the training ground and "not wanting to be a burden" on the club. He also looks like he's no longer enjoying the job and he'll know he's lost the support of the fans. I don't agree with fans who question his integrity or compare him to Kean, that's just nonsense. He had enough credit in the bank to have a chance to prove he's the man to take us up to the prem. He's not a good enough manager to take us there and has been given one season too many, but we're still in a far healthier place than when he came in. It is painful now though, it's almost got to the point where I can't watch the games anymore. A load of dross and lack of desire. .
  7. What a bonkers club. Five defeats in a row and a dreadful season overall, yet I suspect he's under no pressure whatsoever in terms of being fired.
  8. He'll use the "we were missing 4 centre halves" excuse. That may be valid to a certain extent but how can he explain four years of defensive horror shows. It's getting boring to say, but time is well and truly up.
  9. This surely has to be the end tonight? 5 losses in a row, goals conceded from every angle, defense all over the place, long balls up to one of the smallest strikers in the league, Dack on the left wing...just a complete mess. We're gonna get a tonking here.
  10. We genuinely need to be looking at the bottom three now and hoping results go our way. I I don't think we will go down but we are looking like relegation fodder right now. Probably enough of a head start to avoid the drop.
  11. Square pegs every game - this time Dack on the left. Defensive shape yet again horribly exposed. TM just organise a defensive unit.
  12. Painful. Not going to get any better until TM goes unfortunately.
  13. No, of course not. However, if local owners were in charge who I thought genuinely cared about the club, then I’d probably give them the benefit of the doubt that this was a necessary move to improve the club. If Venkys, multi-billionaires btw, genuinely cared about our club then why go down this route? Plus, there were agreements in place when they bought the club that they would not go down this route. That begs another question: how much do they even know about this? I suspect they have told Waggot that we need to cut costs and raise cash, he’s then come up with this as the best way of achieving that objective. I actually don’t think this will come off anyway.
  14. In response to your last sentence: the problem is, do Venkys’s really have the clubs best interest at heart? Of course not. Local owners perhaps would have. That’s the difference
  15. After reading the plans, there’s no doubt this is a move to raise significant cash in the short term and cut running costs in the longer term. I’m not sure it has a negative impact in terms of player recruitment and retention - I suspect they will like the opportunity to train in more modern facilities and in a more private location not surrounded by houses. Having the young lads mix with the seniors at lunch etc also isn’t necessarily a bad thing. However, this isn’t the main motivation for the decision - it’s clearly a financial one as the amount we make from selling the STC will far outweigh the investment we make on the JTC. For me, this is recognition that we’re firmly entrenched in the championship and won’t be getting a big pay day anytime soon with a return to the premier league. Something had to give eventually.
  16. What a pathetic and misleading article. Not a mention of the redevelopment of a new training complex, Alan?
  17. Just go. 90% of the fan base no longer back you. We have had enough of this rubbish.
  18. He’s completely out of his depth now that the ambition is to get promoted rather than just plod along in mid table. Hughton sets his teams up very well, builds from the back and gets them doing the basics right. Nothing exciting but it gets results in the long term. We can only dream of that. TM is trying to get us to play champagne football on quicksand. It’s bonkers.
  19. You can play all the passes in the world, and have the most touches in the box, and any other stat TM wants to throw our way to suggest we're making progress but the reality is you have to do the basics well, which we don't and never have done under TM, before you can make any genuine progress. The defensive shape is as bad now as it was on the first day he arrived.
  20. Not wasting any more money on the game today or the rest of the season so I can't comment on the game, but when does the penny drop with the club that this is no longer working and TM has to go? This season is turning/has turned into a shambles.
  21. The lack of communication from the club about this was very poor and there's no doubt this statement is in reaction to an eagle eyed supporter seeing the planning application. All poor communication does is allow conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory to be pumped out there. I don't believe this is a sinister attempt by Venky's to claw some money back from the club. The fact the players have recently had to train at Ewood when bad weather hit would suggest the training facilities aren't quite fit for purpose anymore. Plus, isn't it commonplace for the top clubs to have one training complex for their senior and academy squad?
  22. I think TM is certainly feeling the heat now. At the beginning of the season he was saying "we're blackburn rovers, we have to expect to be challenging for the top 6". Now the line has changed to "We're only blackburn rovers, we haven't been in the prem for years so we need to be realistic". I agree that we haven't been a prem league force for years and we shouldn't expect to be challenging for promotion simply because we were once a very good prem league team. However, what we should expect is that a club with one of the most talented squads in the division should be challenging for promotion, not 10 points off the pace. Do Cardiff, Barnsley, and even Reading have better squads than ours? I think TM knows the job is beyond his skillset but this is his last big payday. He's not going to give that up lightly. Would you?
  23. Clearly Nyambe's agent has told the club he won't be signing a new deal. Nyambe wouldn't be the sort of person to have a bust-up so I'm pretty sure it's down to the contractual situation.
  24. He's a mid table championship manager whose got no clue how to organise a defence or get results consistent results. There's no excuses this year. He's been backed to the hilt with new signings and has a hugely talented squad. Unlike previous seasons, mid table is a huge failure this year.
  25. One good month followed by a dreadful month. All too predictable. Well past the time to make a managerial change yet it's still not happened.
