  1. Oh, that's harsh. I think we all (from birth) default to being above 'Nicko ITK' level.
  2. Also, whilst I don't think he is the greatest of (totally hypothetical) candidates, why would he even want this job?!
  3. Whilst my comment was obviously tongue-in-cheek, I would genuinely maintain that one can interview someone and demonstrate the desire/ambition of making them an offer that they will want to accept; or interview them and convey a lack of sufficient ambition/realism/control/investment/board-level acumen, to the extent that that candidate/s will inevitably end up somewhere else - and always would have done. Based only on a fan's observations over the last decade, I suspect our selection panel have become rather adept at the latter.
  4. If the 'final three' is genuinely Warne, Ainsworth and Ferguson, then it can only be Ainsworth. That is the only appointment from that list that would mean I feel any kind of excitement for next season. But it's going to be Ferguson, isn't it?!
  5. This is all getting more and more depressing by the day. Sounds like the shortlist has been whittled down through the clever tactical approach of waiting for other teams to recruit them. Last one standing after six weeks gets the gig. If you can get a phone call reference from an actual manager then you've perhaps got some meaningless credit in the bank. Its almost like the whole process/club is being run by a bunch of total incompetents, or something.
  6. Did every one of those magazines reach their planned destinations, Pomster?! 😉 I may have strayed slightly from the topic, here. But the tenuous link is that I'm increasingly sure we will end up with some useless w*nker as our new manager!
  7. In related, but vitally important, news: I've spent my life thinking it was "tidbits". I prefer yours. Reminds me of Topman's avatars...
  8. Sounds as close to a win/win situation as we might get! Key thing though remains the head coach/DoF appointments. This will totally shape the season/s ahead.
  9. I can only think it's a pseudonym being used by the chap seen in the middle, here. He insists on bringing his own assistant/wing man with him, and his own official confused apologist. Possibly not even the worst option on our list of potential candidates.
  10. About bloody time! What a shambles. Next is the bigger decision, that will set the tone for our summer rebuild and next season...
  11. NO! Please don't make me go back there in my mind! Such a dark place. Yet, in many ways, it was so much better than where the club is now. The good old days of Peacock and Dailly, eh?! 😆😪
  12. Assuming Dyche is 'pie in the sky' then, for me, it is Farke or, as backup option in the likely scenario Farke rejects an approach, Ainsworth. I honestly can't see another realistic option that would inspire any form of interest for next season or be much of an improvement on Mowbray (who I increasingly suspect we may end up being stuck with, anyway). What a bloody sad state of affairs this is, that we have become such an unappealing draw.
  13. Whilst I hope/wish you are right, I just can't imagine it at all. Just need to get these games out the way.
  14. So, in my mind, it is win today or the last bit of (realistic, if not mathematical) hope of a playoff place is gone. Is this fair? From Mr Beaten Down from The South West!
  15. Ah ok, that's that then! Cancel the pressure washer.....!
  16. Has anyone seen any confirmation or detail about this? Lots of headlines about FIFA "scrapping" (and replacing) FFP, but no idea what it might mean for us. I am guessing worst case scenario it will be a handsome pay rise for Waggott, Mowbray and Venus; Best case - pressure washer in on a two day loan to clean a bit of the moss off the stands. Extra £500 per week each into the offers to our out of contract players. Probably, realistically, it is just causing some urgent Board-level discussions regarding a likely required shift in the now standard FFP 'excuse' for Rovers' failure to spend money from our billionaire owners in the transfer market/contract renewals, year after year. Any thoughts?!
  17. Who do we want to win/lose thus evening? I can't work out if I want the others in the playoff zone to slip up, or prefer to see those outside it drop points?
  18. Yep. You couldn't make it up! Tony can, though. He might just be pranking us all really early for April Fools Day? Or, more likely in his case, he is very late realising action was required for April Fools Day 2021.
  19. I'm spending half time desperately trying to discover something on the Internet to link Mowbray to Putin and get him sanctioned. So far the closest I am getting is a connection to Pulis, which is almost the same, but I do think we have sufficient, and growing, evidence to at least get TM sectioned.
  20. This is the performance of a team with no confidence but also with no sense of what they are set up to be doing. It is absolutely mind-boggling what Mowbray has done here.
  21. It's getting beyond embarrassingly bad now. The whole lot of them should be ashamed of this. As for Bradley Johnson as a False 9. Is Mowbray actually taking the piss??
