  1. Reading this topic is eye opening really. It really shows how aimless this club is. We the fans haven’t got a clue what’s going on. We can’t even make educated guesses. Some of us believe our top targets have to be interested because we are a club on the up. Some believe the owners will look for the cheapest option regardless. Others believe a left field appointment. My opinion is simple. We have some talented young players and a youth system that produces. We should look for a manager with a history of working under such circumstances. Add a little experience where needed. Will we get such an appointment? Who knows. We don’t even know who is doing the interviews etc. As ever no communication. Ignore the odds on who will be the next manager. The bookies haven’t a clue. No one does
  2. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit that several of the “ITK”s are correct but telling different stories. We are rovers run by those idiots. Forget about the right hand not knowing what the left is doing. The right hand doesn’t know what it’s own fingers are doing. Some could be putting together a short list and others already doing interviews. Basket case of a club at the upper levels remember.
  3. It’s impossible to guess what way this will end up. My head says the only option is farke. But am I the only one who would love to see someone who loves the club lead us back to the PL. I do think ainsworth could be the answer. That’s the romantic in me. I just want to see that beautiful jersey on display at anfield. Everything is in place for rovers to get back to the promised land. We just need the right leader to add the finishing touches. Resign darragh and let’s go
  4. This is venkys so they will see how Leeds have improved and hire some young nfl coach.
  5. Indifferent start really. When we are good we are outstanding. When we are poor we struggle to break teams down. My impression is that Holtby is the key to this season. His footballers brain is way ahead
  6. So to sum up the window. We started the summer desperately in need of cb. He brought in a striker, midfielders, a young cb and a keeper who is at best as good as raya. sold our starting goal keeper and captain. I dont believe we will sign Cunningham based on history. The window is a disaster end of and its going to be a long season of struggle.
  7. Im not so sure. We probably have the worst defence in the league
  8. If no one signs we are in a relegation battle this season
  9. We will win ugly tonight I think but that does not for one minute mean we will be safe. I always like to look forward with hope but from now on we are game to game and just hope we fall over the line. The same applies for next season regardless of what devision we are in. Chicken farmers have completed their mission the club is FUBAR.
  10. Hey whoever decides to read this. I first began taking an interest in football after the 1990 world cup where the boys in green did so well. In primary school everyone was picking teams to support and I decided to base my choice off my favourite Irish player. On the day in question it was Kevin Moran (can't remember why). So while eveyone else was supporting teams from devision 1 (utd, liverpool, spurs) I had chosen a team who had struggled in devision 2. Well what happened next was unbelievable. I have been to ewood on sevreal occasions but am yet to witness first hand a rovers victory. I will not return to ewood until kean is gone. There is a black cloud hovering over rovers right now but hopefully soon the rovers I know and love will return.
  11. What ever happened to drive Gary Speed to this point is, well words probably don't do it justice. We all know someone who is/was suffering from this. People say, how did no one notice, but thats not the point. What really matters is that people who are stuck in this situation must be made aware that there is help out there. And yes many people do not realise (want to admitt) they are depressed. The stigma around this must change so the next Gary Speed will not believe there is only one way out. Like everything else, talking about the issue is the first step. Also in a week/month we must not forget about the living who are suffering. I'm not qualified to help anyone but have absolutely no problem listening and helping talk things through. This is a tradgedy but is pales when you consider the millions who suffer with depression on a daily basis and believe they are alone. In life there are highs and lows, the next high could be a mere minute away.
  12. Sadly things are never that simple, RIP.
  13. The word legend gets used far to often when describibg the contribution of footballers. But this man was/is a true rovers legend. There hae ben far too few since he wore the famous blue and white. RIP
