Coventry’s wage bill (21-22 accounting period) was about 60% of ours so his salary would probably have been relatively low. Coventry had just finished 12th and us 8th so I doubt we offered him a huge pay rise either.

In our last set of accounts the three executive directors remuneration totalled £491,033. That leaves around £10 million unaccounted for (as you’ve said some of this will be GB, JDT etc etc)

Sometimes that can be the reason but sometimes they just don’t progress as anticipated. I agree he’d better off staying I’m not confident he will though.

I think we’d need an Adam Wharton each and every year to be self sustainable from the academy only. I can only see things getting worse.
