All we have to do is go there and draw and they go into complete meltdown 🤣 Just wait till we finally beat them again ! -
'Look at that lot, got a point at their hated local rivals with ten men, their team gave their all and they didn't cheer them off. If that was us Clarrots we'd have been cheering them all the way up Pendle Hill' Would be the alternate view of the unwashed from the dark side had the Rovers fans applauded politely then gone home.

Plying their trade in England being the key point. We don't sign those type of keepers. -

Well with a couple of weeks now of most of them training together the next team sheet could look a whole lot different v Bristol so we'll have to wait and see. Then again, as i suspect, it probably won't but the bench will look stronger than it has done in a while and Eustace imo has shown he knows how to use it well so far. (Apart from Blackpool) -

What iv'e clearly been saying is he wasn't ready if you'd read previous posts you might have gauged that i already mentioned it was necessity but my reading of it was the plan would have been to let him have several months training then ease him in. Which is the point i'm trying to press now with this lad because i'm looking at the bigger picture and learning from the Wahlsted farce. Although having said that i trust Eustace is better to make that call than JDT was simply from knowing this league so much better. Bear in mind it's likely a lot of those who clamoured for Leo to go straight in were probably amongst the first to write him off when they'd seen him. We are in a decent position so lets have some fucking patience for once on here. -

Isn't expecting the new lad to be an instant massive upgrade on Pears the main giant assumption here ? Exactly the same that was being trotted out when Leo was signed 'oh he should be straight in we haven't paid a fee just to be back up' I suggested that was exactly the case at that stage and he'd be eased in, injuries meant he wasn't and it back fired spectacularly. Why in gods name would anyone want a repeat of that ? We've no idea what the plan is but again i'd suggest this lad is here to settle in and provide direct competition with Pears for the number one. He hasn't been bought to throw straight in just on the assumption everyone thinks he's a bit better, going out the cup hasn't helped but he'll get his chance when he's ready. I might be wrong but we'll see. -

I'd say it's a quite a fair and balanced mentality to be honest. All this x,y,z would've saved that on Saturday etc is quite frankly bollocks unless you are talking about keepers like Pickford etc. We've signed another keeper who has no experience of English football and hasn't cost millions so it's another punt. lets give this one chance to settle in before he comes in, lets a goal in then gets called shite eh. -

How many has he thrown in the net ? -

The logic being that the new keeper could just as easily come in and make a cock up which then sets him back straight away. It's a 50/5 toss up but even with Pears we are unbeaten and at the top end of the league so why gamble for the sake of it. There is no pressing need right away and i had the same debates last season before Leo had even caught attempted to catch a ball for us. My reservations proved right and we ended up praying for Pears to come back, i don't want lightening to strike twice and i want this new lad easing if when ready and not before unless it becomes a no brainer. We ballsed up the cup competition which would surely have been the plan to try him out. -

Of course he's a league standard goal keeper how would we be unbeaten if he wasn't ? He just isn't a top end championship one. -

You'd avoid exactly what iv'e said and there is no way Leo is a bad overall as he showed at times he clearly wasn't reay for the rough and tumble. Neither will this lad be yet, what's to gain by throwing him in whilst we are unbeaten and seeing him make a fuck up and destroy his own confidence before he's got going.....like Leo. You say play your best players yet we are unbeaten and up the league are we not. -

And we'll be in the start over again boat next summer with sod all money again. There is zero strategy above the first team management because it's run by a couple of grifters and clueless owners who have always winged it year by year. That's why they left Mowbray in charge so long because he kept the heat off everybody with the steady Uncle Tony act. -

Here we go again with the same clamour as with Leo that lead to it all going wrong. Change the keeper when necessary not for the sake of it Pears did nowt wrong yesterday and maybe a bit of pressure on him will bring out the best. If not then at least wait until he's shite again and there is justification for dropping him, i say this as someone who wants to see Toth become a better number 1 but lets not repeat history already. Let him get plenty training in and adjust in good time. -
He's just from the generation of ipad coaches that used to be clipboards and pens and they think technology and it's terminology is the answer to everything on earth. Yes there's a place for it but just that, a place, it makes me laugh though how they full endorse the digitalization of everything yet failing to realise it's all part of the bigger plan by silicone valley to save money and pave the way for AI to control the lot. They are leading themselves to the dole queue in a few years time but the current era is batshit daft in many ways not just football coaching.

20 quid a pop and 5k for them. Easily 22/24k will rock up as long as we have been doing reasonably ok. The cup game years ago was a near full house at a discounted rate and not much bother made the headlines. Ewood was redeveloped for games like this it's what the big ground is all about but under his tenure there has been a constant reluctance to take advantage of big games/local games and try and fill it up. His lack effort on pushing this has been abysmal, same with the PNE game. What's changed in the 20 years since that cup tie apart from them being better than us and us being the ones desperate to pull in the crowds again ?

Yes we did really well not to capitulate like last time, their goal was well executed but far too easy to set up and get on the end of. First real quality we've faced though so that is going to happen at times and it was actually refreshing to see a couple of old school goals. Run, cross, big lad finds space for bullet header then a quality shoot on sight equaliser. I can say with confidence i don't think that equaliser happens under our previous two managers. He'd have brought it down and squared it to someone who'd then have passed it backwards ! Just shows what we've been missing. -

The fact that loads of them seem to be defending the awful ref tells it's own story. He got them out of jail FACT. -

Looked a player this lad and it's only one game but certainly looked an upgrade on Pickering i just wish we could find a right back who can defend. -

Could understand JDTs frustration with him as Trav couldn't play the role they wanted him to but to me there was always room for him and Tronstad, even if it meant Travis wasn't always a starter. Bombing him out though was a big mistake that backfired on a number of levels i think he lost half the team with that. -

No surprise with the multi digit hordes being so quiet it's like that there every time we've put in a performance over there. Most overblown over rated fans in English football, no different to any others when their team is shit so are their fans. -

On today's evidence it's Beck for me, looked a cut above. If only we could've loaned in similar for the right side. -
