  1. Funnily enough the first thing springs to mind for me when Oxford United are mentioned is an own goal by Colin Hendry, an spirited fightback by Rovers and an entertaining 2-2 draw at Ewood. In a game we were expected to walk......
  2. Just completely unaware or choosing to be ignorant of the full facts, just love being fed pigswill from those snouts in the trough dining on steak. The kids can be forgiven they are mostly just concerned with what happens on the pitch but some of those who claim to be long terms blue & whites are unreal. We can all have varied opinions that's fine it's normal it's like politics but it has to be based on true facts not the blind leading the blind just because they love the shirt.
  3. 1300 is a decent following from Oxford they've never had a big fanbase half that city is probably populated by outsiders and Manure/Liverpool 'fans'. It's that type of place and not massive either but Swag will be disappointed he can't roll out the carpet for 3k Southeners !
  4. If there is enough income in instalments due to cover the next 12 months running costs then why can't they just stick a couple of million in for players instead of the huge tranches of funds to run the club ? Surely that's what backers do at clubs in bigger cities with double our income who can meet most of their liabilities on their own ? Isn't that what backing a club rather than propping it up is all about ....
  5. There'll be plants but most are just completely ignorant of the facts and still trotting out 20 mill per year, nobody will buy us, they are naive bollocks. By the way i think it's pretty much acknowledged that if it wasn't for rigging more probably did actually vote for him than the other fella. But the US has always been a madhouse and i'm sure we'd end up with the Yank equivalent of Venkys if they did sell !
  6. Said safely in the knowledge there's at least 10 million dropping in sales instalments in the next 6 months.
  7. When you offer them the actual words written into the accounts they still don't want to know there's a problem. Anyway looks like i'm blocked now.
  8. Looks like it was just a bit of shit stirring from someone but certainly wouldn't begrudge Trav a move to Rangers if it was true. I just have a feeling that someone inside Ewood is desperate to move him on, got rid of all the 15k+ pwk players so now time to start edging out the 10k+ ones.....
  9. My god that facebook Rovers page is lacking virtually any grasp of the real situation whatsoever no wonder they get away with repeating the same half arsed statements.
  10. Another back of a fag packet statement released like the last one.
  11. Most championship clubs have outside funding to prop them up and/or allow players to be bought, even ones with huge crowds. Only one at present has owners under investigation by their own govt.
  12. This will be a classic Rovers day, we'll win 3-1 or lose 0-1 13,553
  13. I think 14k is a fair shout for the total crowd on Saturday. Hope it's more the team deserve as many as possible.
  14. I also still think there is an element of 'leave it to us we can handle it' coming from this end as well. As Waggot and Shadowman look to cement their status and justify their positions, salaries and bonuses. Waggot is the ultimate penny pincher as we've seen and when Mowbray was here he had the perfect guy to deflect everything because he himself was in clover just plodding along.
  15. But it's a bit different than the constant line that they chuck millions over here so then have to put millions in a separate account, therefore tying up ready cash. Agree they won't like the personal guarantee bit as the way Rovers funding is set up seems to be purely down to the VH group part of their portfolio. The ED should ask for a charge to be put on Pune Towers that'll get them focused !
  16. So now he's using the 'guarantee' line not 'bond' but still saying it would cost them double, well it wouldn't in instant cash terms if it's a guarantee, so that's misinformation. Also still pushing the owners funding bollocks instead of self funding. Why is it so difficult to paint the true picture ?
  17. Further sales and budget cuts on the horizon in Jan but certainly by summer if it isn't sorted before then.
  18. Yep it's all covered by the VH group turnover and paid by those banking facilities as far as the info we have available so their personal wealth will be untroubled by any of it. That's probably largely why they don't give a toss but the ED holding a charge of 11 million or more against whatever won't sit well with them.
  19. I think it was the journo Harris who had seen a V's bank account with over 400 million in it as part of the fit and proper guarantee's. Over a decade ago obviously but they'll have plenty reserves to lay a charge against i'd wager.
  20. So maybe all this is about is getting their previous 11 million bond back or charge removed ?
  21. Not as experienced obviously but i think he has more about him than Mowbray who landed here after flopping at his previous 3 clubs and was about a decade older. More likely some club with a actual budget will fancy a punt on him by next summer/autumn imo.
  22. Probably because a lot of them realised that if he had a budget and a DoF who actually knew what he was doing then they'd have been replaced.
  23. Sentence for what ? Surely you'd know they aren't on trial and it is in fact them applying to the courts to be allowed to send money ?
  24. They've had months over there in India to push and press the matter but whenever these hearings come around it's buried way down the list. Nobody sees any urgency in it obviously.
  25. The lazy easy option but it's how most middle Execs operate these days.
