The club is washing its own face Jack and the academy is thriving so Jack would be very happy with that. Notwithstanding the fact we were skint, nearly on our arse player wise and dropping to the third tier (again) just like we were when he originally rescued us. And it's cost his replacements 200 million to create that, aye he'd think it was tremendous !

I keep my wallet in my back sack and my brains in my front -
Even if they are cleared to resume funding as before do we think they'll resume underwriting running costs and use future transfer instalment income for team investment ? Because they would be able to as we should be in fine with FFP for a bit now. There is though the 20% tax to consider but even then the sales income should still create room for investment if they fund losses. Very big test of their intent should the court case clear everything.

Been saying this for years now the actual goal KEEPING standards have plummeted in the need to make numbers 1's have outfield abilities on the ball. Also commanding centre defenders will become a thing of the past which doesn't help. -
Not sure them losing it makes much difference at all in the short term as the club is clearly under instructions to fund itself. Nothing much would change over this season but next summer the budget cut and cost cutting, players sales could be the end of us as a Championship club for a long time. I'd still suggest we are way way away from an admin situation that would depend largely on the tax bills being paid and there's still assets to cash for that.

It's a bit crazy how Pears can be short on confidence after retaining his place and his team winning the previous 2. He now has nearly two full seasons as a number 1 behind him so i'd suggest he maybe doesn't have enough faith in his defence. We have conceded 5 in three games so tightening up especially set pieces is vital. -

He really isn't he's piss weak like i said unless we are basically sat back with a rigid line and hes covered. Great point today though, fully deserved overall. -

He's a constant accident waiting to happen and Eustace knows this but as usual the idiots in charge would rather penny pinch and make do until they can find someone to buy Pears. -

Back to saying Travis is useless a whole week after his captains display at Ewood...... -
We've been told Rovers had started including loyalty bonuses for some reason so all those guys would likely be owed a pay off. Then a signing on fee at their new clubs plus big wage increases in most cases. Someone had to advise and negotiate all that and it reeks of similarities to stuff going on at the height of the Anderson/Kean & co reign of hell. Iv'e read way in the past that the man in the shadows had agency connections and imo he's always been some sort of middleman. That's why iv'e continuously called him out and for a real explanation of his role, who he really works for and who pays him. He's a moonlighting director if you ask me.

No money is needed for running costs due to all the sales and instalments pending but what is to stop them saying here's 2 million for players. Put up the bond and pay the 20%, all that isn't breaking them is it but they've never really put money in for signings in recent times and that isn't how the tax dodging business funds Rovers. Signings have tended to come after the annual budget was increased a bit under TM post promotion etc, or room is created getting rid of wages/cost cutting. Or when a bit from previous sales becomes available, if they'd chucked in a few mill when Mowbray had us second or JDT then it's a fair assumption to say we might have had a promotion by now. That is speculating to accumulate, it's managing upwards but did Waggot or the shadow MD ever ask ? Did they bollocks water treading is their game but it's highly unlikely Vs would have stumped up anything anyway as it didn't fit the VH group funding model.

Which is why it's vital now they look for an outside investment channel or find us a suitable buyer because their time is over. When the Walker Trust due to their own issues decided they couldn't fund Rovers anymore despite the money already spent and any remaining emotional and business ties they began to seek a buyer. Many similarities to now so there's only two options, hold on and run us into the ground or sell, i'm not even sure they are happy not being able to write off 10/20 million a year. It seems all the club served them for was as a money pit for whatever reason so it's of no use to them now other than still feeding some egos. If we are to be self funding and gradually shrink to lower levels then we don't need them sat there in the background they might as well give the club away to a supporters trust/local business consortium and remain as shirt sponsors or something.

Take no notice, we shouldn't have signed Ennis he was injury prone and even fit he was never suited to our then coaches style. Gally when fit will serve you well enough but i hope he isn't swallowing 15k per week, Travis you can do one he needs to stay here. We had a DoF who was as much use as a balloon in a typhoon, i hope yours is better. -

Mate i respect your opinions i really do but please tell me which one of their offshore out of India businesses can pick up a 10/20 million English pounds tab per year ? I'll answer it for you...NONE. Now personal funds well that's a different matter but that isn't how they fund Rovers and not why they were ever here. -
Sam Szmodics-Your thoughts?
tomphil replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Very best of luck to Samuel Szmodics thanks for giving it your all at Rovers and hope he smashes down at Ipswich in the Prem. Ipswich i reckon have a gem here if he gets a chance. By the way iv'e always found Ed Sheeran and his warbling annoying and this is all his fault, stick your shirt sponsor money up your ginger hole Ed !🤣
