  1. I think we had over 60% possession stats in the first half but were dire and barely registered a shot or corner, neither did they but they weren't looking for it. More even from the start of the second and we were a bit better so it's the same old story the less possession based game suits us more. Have a go, concede a bit more possession, score first, win. Possession won't translate into goals when most of it is between keeper and defenders.
  2. Got to accept that Millwall come just to frustrate and focus on stopping any game plan first and foremost so that contributed to the shockingly poor aspect. His subs for the sake of it though are making Mowbrays seem sensible. I'm constantly stuck with JDTs system wondering which way it's going to pan out. Are we going to click and get a bit more fluid and balanced or are teams going to start benefiting from the fannying about at the back, disjointed team selections are risky subs. But we keep winning every other game and picking up 3 points so maybe he has a midas touch in there somewhere.
  3. On a skateboard by the sounds of it.
  4. The Yoof will have them and the Treatment on their toes 🤣
  5. Bushwackers giving it a miss today then.
  6. 0-0 We are about due one and this type of opposition alongside our traditional sluggish emergence from international breaks, this could be it. 10.833
  7. Oh you would have been and so would i 😉
  8. I never went with the theory they gave him 6 million and said he had to sign an investment player only rather than buy a couple of oven ready players. That was him and his gang looking for projects to carry on their journey rather than heap pressure on themselves putting together a squad for the top 6.
  9. Only reason i comment is there's a Sunderland news thing keeps popping up on my facebook and on a daily basis i see Mowbrays comments identical to here just different names inserted. Every other day he mentions Rovers one way or another so it's hard to avoid attention still being drawn to him. I keep waiting for the odd skeleton or snippet to pop up from his time here which they already have and will again. I had his card marked all along here as in him being a very crafty old sod who knew how to work the room. There's an edge to him that isn't humble at all he just has a good way of covering it whilst sliding in the odd veiled digs and insults. He was hurt by the way things panned out here which in a way is understandable but at the end of the day that was down to him and the owners, not the fans or the club. His ego must be the most brittle in football though and if things turned sour up there he'd walk not sit it out like he did at little old Rovers because he could get away with it.
  10. I'd suggest now it's the room in the budget the AA money freed up that has been spent recently. I'm not sure Mowbrays word is gospel on these subjects all for some reason he'd lost their backing in transfer money a long time ago. Still hard to accept they didn't back him in Jan for a real promotion tilt but he was still able to bring in 4 decent players on paper and look what happened with them. If he'd been given a couple of million instead he'd probably not have gone for it himself we'd have had 2 signining like the Spurs lad instead of 1. Mowbray himself was never about promotion.
  11. But he doesn't need to keep dropping in the 1995 line and there's only 12k there that's pathetic and sums him up to a tee.
  12. In other words 'i'm a great manager but had no backing so couldn't push them on' Still full of shit he's going through his full repertoire up there now on a daily basis but doesn't explain why he was on the scrapheap when Rovers plucked him up. He's right about reinvestment but the other side of the coin is he had great backing from the owners under the circumstances. And he was NEVER forced to sell one player so you can't have it all ways when working under tight conditions.
  13. I think there'll be a few more yet as TM was here 5 years and he had carte blanche to build his own staff. There will be more loyalty to him than BRFC and i'd expect a player or two to follow. This is how Mowbray always works. Hopefully they are brassic so can't pull any of our good players.
  14. Shore up the middle and add a bit of muscle and it would limit them strolling back through us. We need a Bradley Johnson type again from somewhere who has a bit left in his legs imo
  15. He said he wasn't speaking in the window and he didn't, he said he'd speak after it closed and he has so he's broken a trait of lies and ignorance already in this ownership era. He kept his word, that's rare around Rovers so fair play to him.
  16. They have to get the balance right with blending those good enough and letting those who aren't stay in their lane or go on loan. It's done great recently but lets not start rushing them because we just need to fill the squad for the sake of it.
  17. Probably after Rovers scored 7 against them when he was in defence 😂
  18. Beat me to i was going to ask what board is this i presume he means board of directors ? Well good luck with that one.
  19. Because although they were great here for a spell they are legends elsewhere. There's only one name for the Riverside and that's the Tony Parkes Riverside stand.
  20. After the days of deep sitting Evans and headless Lowe plus others Mowbray went some way to getting the midfield at bit stronger. Helped of course by the emergence of Travis but now it seems as weak as it was way back then, teams get through too easy.
  21. Yes that's the Rovers model preach a sensible plan then do the opposite.
  22. The number one priority now at ewood is to give players games or mins so as to get experience into some and more value into most. That is the priority nothing else and they've employed a coach to go along with that, that is the project not the top 6, not yet anyway. So we are going to see this kind of thing all season regardless of a first 11 being the best first choice and this is before we factor in injuries etc. Often it won't make sense to anyone but those trying to keep everybody involved bit by bit.
  23. Dack is going to end up at Sunderland in Jan if they are not careful and that's a major bollock dropped. Unless they get 5 mill for him of course but Szmodics signed for two million and Dack being edged out makes no sense whatsoever.
  24. JDT has to get to grips with getting his teams to turn up every week not just at home to the Watfords and West Broms. That's down to him to sort out and journey excuses don't wash, it's not losing it's the manner. most of the recent defeats have been piss poor and almost non events as far as Rovers are concerned. Having said that win lose win lose is getting us 3 points every two games so not a bad return but how long does it go before something gives.
