  1. Careful, remember when Mowbray thought we were ok for centre backs and let the back up man go because he felt sorry for him....... Failure to prepare.
  2. People would rather get by on a diet of spade loads of bull because even though it is mostly bull it comes at them thick and fast. If they want fictional content to keep the mind occupied i suggest they read a book instead. Or follow Nixon and the red tops.
  3. 100% agree Though last season was probably our once in a decade real chance if we can end up building on it we;ll give ourselves a chance at least. As for BBD no point selling him now really we might as well get the best out of him for another season. Vs don't want or need the money but the club does. It won't make any difference until next years books anyway now so there'd be no benefit to the team this season unless they got in a swift high quality loanee. With them possibly being able to inject a bit more next summer it covers the loss of a sale anyway given what we are likely to end up with money wise.
  4. I think it's you who needs to naff off you probably aren't suited to this kind of place. Mard arses never are and you are now indulging in your own slanging match after complaining about content on here. If you want to do so take it to DM but otherwise feel free to tell us what you have to say about transfer instead of a hypocritical post being a moaner moaning about the moaners. Get it !
  5. Because people are discussing FFP ? Grow up FFS!
  6. Hes had that title for a good while now.
  7. So that 60 mill is basically the 20 mill per season they already put in to cover shortfalls. We still need a sale to reinvest.
  8. You know interest in Rovers has been pricked again when Henry turns up.
  9. The only 'Cult' was the Mowbray IS Blackburn Rovers cult we can't possibly sack him even in the face of record home defeat or 10 game winless runs. Ridiculous notions for any football club to have.
  10. I'm still wondering what Phil Brown is gonna do when he gets here, mow the grass ?
  11. After FIVE years of it we knew the pattern so come on no need for the muck raking. This league is getting more and more tactical as time goes on and a lot of managers will try changes with varying success. Mowbray was no different but for most of the time there didn't seem to be a clear plan A in the first place and he clearly put what the opposition did -whoever they were- over what we did. JDT it's too early to tell but there does seem to be a clear foundation in place to build formations etc on. Plus having so many young legs he clearly won't tolerate anything other than high energy and hard work. Mowbray didn't always have that before last season preferring largely to keep his faith in journeymen and back up squad signings. However like i said after 5 years it was abundantly clear TM WAS a tinkerman by his own design and i think he'd admit it himself.
  12. Rovers 0 WBA 0 Think we might show the defensive side in this one and sit a bit deeper as these lot are very dangerous on the break. An entertaining draw. 14,767
  13. What Nixon was was a guy speaking from inside a certain agency it's no coincidence he has his finger on the pulse when they were infesting all levels at Ewood. Also no coincidence that as they were weeded out his info became all but a trickle, now it's a drip.
  14. Nobody is immune to being blocked by him i got blocked for talking to an agent who was in a row with the SEM boys at Bolton a decade ago.
  15. I don't think iv'e ever known Sunday games be a bigger draw than Saturday afternoon so that's just wishful thinking. It is the holidays though so a day out might tempt a few more, plenty kids in the JW upper last night that you wouldn't normally see for a game like that is Sept.
  16. I suppose to them it's like JPvH coming back here then next season going to Preston so i can understand their horror. Nice how they think so fondly of Burnley though quite touching they know they are minnows even compared to that lot.
  17. The first people to say they are impressed and pleased with what they inherited are JDT and his staff. Both in ability and attitude with a good team spirit here already so that is the biggest compliment to the Mowbray era. The squad has been crying out for new voices ideas and direction for a few years though. So hopefully for once under this ownership we actually have the next step in the building process now. Goodbye water treading and hello realistic ambition but NOT expectation.
  18. NL K-344-BR i think it was so probably not him but a good plate for a Blackburn Rovers employee nontheless.
  19. There was a white BMW heading towards Ewood tonight registered in the Netherlands. Thought it might have been a player coming for talks but could well have been JDTs car
  20. Think it's just a vote of confidence for Phillips giving him MOM they aren't always exactly in sync with what is actually going on. Any number of lads had a legit claim to it tonight but in the case of Ash he looked calm, composed and he had a fair battle with their big forward. Who he'll basically have to take out of his back pocket so he can get on the bus back to the north East. Not bad for a 17 year old debut. ( i can't believe he's only 17) what do they feed these athletes these days !
  21. Excellent display by the second string/youth team i ended up feeling sorry for Hartlepool and their fans. First goal took a while coming but Rovers never gave them chance to take a breath from the first min till last. This wasn't the usual mix and match exercise these games often throw up. It was a clear plan with a balanced side and sensible subs.
  22. 5 or 6 thousand wouldn't be bad at all for a game like this. Rovers 1 Hartles Pool 1 - Penalties AET Looking forward to it COYB
  23. 10k should be minimum ST holders and 12k should always be in the home seats that's what they should aim for. When it goes well below that alarm bells should ring and something should be done to address it. Their answer is to keep putting prices up instead to cover it then just pray the team does well.
