  1. He isn't getting 40/50 grand a week at Ipswich that's for sure.
  2. Maybe disbanding with Broughtons 30% of the squad our youth at all times that along with his truly awful back up signings nearly got us relegated.
  3. There are many variables to an ACL injury i know iv'e had it and it seems Scotty's was a bad one.
  4. Is there any pay on the day anywhere in the ground ?
  5. Any ambitious billionaire owners whose club had raked in 25 million and was in good shape with FFP would, in the event of managing to keep their star forward, go and make a couple of good signings and say lets have a real go at breaking the top 6 this season. Even if they had to stake a bond that wouldn't break them.
  6. The pink kit It's a long time since I've seen so many Rovers shirts knocking around Blackburn never mind anywhere else. Loads of kids, teenage girls and er... middle aged blokes seem to be mooching about in it. Even seen quite a few in Chorley.
  7. Why would modern football clubs with half empty stadiums make such things so simple ? I mean come on this is 1984 2024...
  8. Which adds weight to the handshake theory between agent/player and those at the club versus the owners then becoming involved and saying not enough.
  9. If you don't be careful we'll have to bring the barm cake / tea cake debate back !
  10. Plus dangling a new contract in front of him but they don't really want that do they, they want the money for running costs and virtue signalling to India. Meanwhile it seems it's the owners not budging on this one.
  11. Yep he spent a fortune on putting a new tv gantry in the riverside and moving from the already set up JW facilities allegedly at the owners request. More like arse covering for the little North East and shadow chairman clique at the time if you ask me although admittedly it looks way better. Necessary expenditure though ?
  12. I don't blame Ipswich for thinking we might be very keen to do a lower price deal post court case, for all we know someone this end has planted those seeds in their heads. However as said above they really then risk other clubs suddenly jumping in low then an auction and you end up at a bigger or similar fee anyway. If they really want him though 9 million with reasonable add ons is fair and i doubt they'll end up paying less whatever happens now.
  13. It was dumb whoever did it and the DE closure and similar alienating was definitely on his watch.
  14. Said this years ago in regards to first the DE then the Family section Waggot has without doubt turned a few hundred season ticket holders into part time pay on the day or not at all. Complete clownshow who then has to knock off 20 quid as a token gesture to try and stem the loss of regulars but when he was alienating hundreds a few years earlier they didn't give a toss. The guy as has been said by others has always been a wing it from one season to the next operator.
  15. He has quality but like i said he's largely a passenger who needs to be more team focused. To put in context a busted Bradley Dack probably had similar stats.
  16. The two new lads showed more in their first appearances than hes shown in his entire time here. We need grafters not shirkers.
  17. No chance because as widely discussed on here there aren't enough season ticket holders.
  18. A pay on the day turnstile would be the perfect solution for games such as this and some clubs still manage to have those. If only ten turn up paying on the day you haven't wasted time and money opening an away ticket window but your PoD turnstile is still taking an extra few quid.
  19. That's the trouble with the majority of our fans, cheer when winning, silent when not then only kick off when we are on the verge of relegation or administration. The problems are there and have been there all along and form on the pitch will always fluctuate no matter who owns and runs the place. However repeated self created problems put us on the verge of disaster every few years yet finishing 7th 'owners are great' nearly relegated 'owners are #######'. Common theme NO investment in decent players either time so lets have some consistency in keeping focus on what will time and again hold this club in paralysis.
  20. The nudge to total digitalization continues as i predicted it would. Why anyone young or old would want that is genuinely bizarre, losing peoples jobs, no human interaction, regular issues that cause problems and can't be sorted by simply speaking to someone. Load of bollocks that doesn't save money it transfers it into someone else's pockets.
  21. He trips himself up though constantly. Tells us owners can fund club no restrictions but there is a bond issue and court case.... Says they are funding the club when the evidence is transfer income actually is then complains about transfer income coming in instalments as an excuse for no significant reinvestment. Yet if they are funding the running costs then surely transfer income instalments could be lined up with outgoing fees in order to reinvest in players ?
  22. As always with these cup games and light squad we have i'd go with many changes, focus on youth and those on the fringes.
  23. Some of the best strikers/fwds we've had in recent times cut their teeth in league 1. Armstrong, Dack, Szmodics..... Leonard needs to follow suit a good sting in there will do him better than being a bit part at Ewood scoring about 3.
