  1. There always has to be an annual bout of Dolan bashing 😂
  2. Yep looks like Sammies wage is being re-invested. Mcfadz was handy last season but with another 8 million + sale pending is re-signing him the best this club and recruitment dept can come up with ? Or is it just the easy lazy old boys network option ?
  3. Yeah because the club haven't censored it yet !
  4. For 150k or free it's a no brainer might as well give it a go however i'd be a bit wary of coming straight in on a 3 year contract with no doubt nice wages seeing as there is allegedly no fee. Anyone know which agent/agency is handling this ?
  5. In the cases of Graham, Mulgrew Ayala, Downing and probably Holtby we had to tip up contracts worth 15/25 grand a week that's the only reason we got those players in. That's probably the reason we now sleepwalk through this period, because we wouldn't and now can't pay good wages for proven players.
  6. It's unsustainable as a championship club and completely unsustainable long term without selling more fixed assets that cost money to run and another massive downscale across all depts.
  7. It's just pure desperation and we've been here before with Rochina, Formica and others. Fine if you are bringing a lad like this in to integrate into a good squad and try and prove himself but this smacks of a gamble to fill the impending Sammie void for a fraction of the money. Of course the guy needs a chance but the chances of it working well are slim.
  8. An 8m trigger clause is in no way surprising given it was a while ago he signed his new deal and especially seeing as the financial problems were becoming well known. He was a 1.8 million signing from Peterborough who hadn't just finished the season as the leagues top scorer. It does sound though more like there is some sort of gentleman's agreement rather than a true clause inserted.
  9. He looks like a quick player in a crap league but by god do we need some pace.
  10. Waggot was an improvement on Shaw and i'll die on that hill but the rest of it you're 100 percent correct.
  11. Sounds about right although bank transactions may be possible to trace back longer but i doubt anyone is interested. Just looks to me as if the Indian govt stumbled upon something that conveniently helped them put a dent in the frequent transfer of millions out of India. They probably have Venkys where they want them now alongside the mass hike in transfer tax and bond stuff, it would be enough to put most companies off. These lot though .....
  12. This is why i'm surprised their authorities aren't asking for detailed breakdowns of where it's all gone and contacting their UK counterparts. They've obviously been looking into all the amounts transferred to VLL seeing as they flagged up the house and Akon monies but once it's over here i suppose they can'y investigate where it's gone. That would need the club accounts going over by a forensic accountant dating back 12 years 🫣 UK authorities won't want that hassle.
  13. As someone said a while ago we are a 200 million overseas 'investment' on their balance sheet and overall portfolio so cutting it off overnight would probably reduce their 'book wealth' on paper. Can't see them being keen on that, when people say what are they worth that 200 million is still counted in that despite in reality it being gone down the pan for good unless we get an extended stay in the Prem.
  14. They'll be burying the kid leaving until they have a signing to announce.
  15. These two oveseas lads fit the 500k fee range i assume which means at least one of them will be a goer.
  16. Sitting back during covid and using the money he didn't spend in the previous Jan to then give to some players, a few who hadn't featured and were never going to, slight contract extensions showed what he's all about. He then followed that up by letting 4 good young players leave for nothing because when he was sitting back he was low balling them with contract renewals thinking he was being clever. That's the lifeblood of this club who the then manager had developed and one cost nearly 7 million as an investment to double up on and bring income in. He should have been out the door after those 2 scenarios were he proved himself beyond useless for anything other than being told what to do or trying to make himself look good penny pinching in the owners eyes. Do we really think for one second he pushed them to invest or trade when the last 2 gaffers had us in the top 2 ? Not a chance and as iv''e said before once the Mowbray and Venus clique left he was badly exposed and had no idea or hope of handling the new ambitious set up that had been thrust upon him. He is and always has been a small time low level operator and no surprise that's what we now resemble although obviously not all his fault but he's a part of the mess for sure. No nous, no gumption and no foresight, scrabbling about getting in the Flecks and Mcfadz's are the height of his transfer prowess.
  17. I just hope he doesn't jump on a flight from Japan unless he's signed a contract first ! It's a long way to pose with a shirt then be told to sod off home again.
  18. Don't the minutes have to be signed off by Waggot anyway ?
  19. Well of course the mood of the staff who are paid to go into work every day and do what they are paid for obviously matters more than the supporter drones who are expected to turn up and pay those wages. Typical football mentality.
  20. Problem is these lot have had us in this doom loop for 12 years now and there is absolutely no sign it will ever end in fact all we hear is they'll never sell the club because they've wasted 200 million on it. So the real fear now is owner instigated managed decline where they reduce everything into a smaller, cheaper, easier manageable model that will just sit quietly in a corner of their empire forever. That means life in league 1 or 2 for us and we'll never get rid because they always do enough at the last min to keep the lights on.
  21. Sammie out and Batth in, just imagine that being the business model ! Then a desperate reliance on John Park to find a few young U23 Prem loan forwards to fill the void. Who'd honestly be shocked at that ?
  22. They've probably all had to sign NDA's on the way in. In return for a chocolate hobnob and first dibs on Burnley tickets..
  23. I very much doubt we do at adult price band.
  24. I could have written that it's nothing we don''t already know and wasn't blindingly obvious anyway. No way are they spending fees even if the court case goes in their favour it just means we might not have to sell anyone else in January.
