  1. Even Charlton a fanbase hardly known for aggression made a decent fist of drawing attention to their plight. Not that it did any good but it at least drew attention to the people responsible, briefly and similar stuff at Reading.
  2. The only real line of defence used to be '20 million a year' now that's gone as well there is very little any sane supporter can offer as a defence because it was the money that covered for everything else and made it ok in a lot of eyes. Although having said that iv'e seen a few lemmings blaming the Indian govt and yet again painting the owners as victims. Bad advice has now become bad government.
  3. At least 10 per cent of the 200 million they've spaffed must have gone on agent/agency/consultant fees over the last decade or so. No wonder that particular industry looks to shield them and iv'e no doubt quite a few journos have been sweetened along the way. A small fanbase in a corner of Lancashire near the moors is just too easy to sneer at and ignore for those types.
  4. Some feet are firmly under the table and won't rock the boat.
  5. Just a total repeat of what they did that lead to the last relegation albeit brought about by different reasons but still all down to shocking ownership and awful running of the club. We all knew it's only ever going to be rinse and repeat with these lot though.
  6. A bit like the club itself then, impossible to believe incomings until you see them in the shirt on the pitch but really easy to believe outgoings as they always actually happen ! Nixon fits into that really well.
  7. We've always been on the Slow Train to league 1 with this lot.
  8. They'll structure the payments so this charade can carry on another 12 months then they'll be praying someone this coming season suddenly becomes worth millions. Shadow MD and Waggot eek out another years salary and expenses, Pune remains silent. Rovers kick off 25/26 in league 1 then Venkys suddenly find a way to tip up 2 million and expect instant promotion. Pin it.
  9. Those tactics might grind out more points in the first half of this season than the much more open tactics of last season despite the sparse lightweight squad. That's why he's here and that's what the grifters who run the club are banking on although all that depends on Szmodics as well.
  10. It's gone for good now i think. Next round of cost cutting will see everyone humped together training at the academy sight in order to save paying the lease money. Whoever actually owns it now will then do whatever they want with it.
  11. A squad of players that won't feature this season ? Eh ? That's our entire squad and most of them were always going to feature every week. No way had he been promised that many oven ready signings.
  12. If he wanted out all he'd have to do is be honest and tell the truth on the shitshow and any renaged promises hes had. He'll be gone within hours once India is alerted.
  13. He sat there a few years ago and told us it would be better to build everything on one site and the owners would make up the shortfall in cost ! This is the same ownership who he has been constantly cutting costs for and telling us we can't keep relying on them for money. Just how would that have worked out had he started that project ? They'd be back on Pleasington now and i think it's quite clear now trying to quietly get planning permission on Brockall to flog it was nothing more than an attempt at a quick cash grab cooked up by those inside the club. Not the owners, what would they even know about Brockall, this was cooked up inside the club by the grubby snout in the trough gang i'm sure. They've know these finance problems were coming since 2021 and if those tossers had got their way with the training ground we'd be in an even bigger mess now.
  14. As far as i see it the recruitment dept do their job and present players to the manager who then presents them to the ..er board if you can call it that. Then that's where it all falls down but it does look like we are doing something when a few names get 'leaked'. As we know the few words we do hear and the actual intentions of those running the club are two different things.
  15. Until we see what follows. I expect he's somewhat of a hero in Pune so he won't be getting removed and he's also lined up a new set of fall guys. The real fester in this boil that needs rooting out first is the shadow director !
  16. Markanday needs to model himself on Craig Conway and learn to perfect a cross and become an industrious wide player. Championship level flying winger he isn't although he is capable of some decent games but i think if you plonked him in a good league 1 side he'd look more at home. He isn't alone though, big season coming up for him.
  17. Do research on him and as iv'e told everyone on here regularly his business ethos is squeeze what you have till breaking point rather than speculate to accumulate. Go read numerous interviews both business and football before and whilst he pitched up here. So on that basis he just does what he does to all but guarantee hitting a specific income target, he told us this himself a couple of seasons ago. Therefore his sole aim is that target, 4 million i think, so once he knows who is in the division his pricing strategy for any coming season is how to get to that target whatever it takes. As CEO (in title) that is his job and sadly for us his balls aren't big enough to cut adult prices and risk not hitting his - probably bonus and job keeping - related target, despite the thousands extra people it is guaranteed to bring in. Put it this way if we were in a city of 200k people even he might risk it but we aren't so to him it's the hardcore supports job to carry the burden. And guarantee him another 300 grand salary or easy money as we might say.
  18. Saying Waggot isn't bothered about ticket income hitting certain targets is as far off target as comments can be. Saying he isn't bothered about much beyond that after commercial income is much closer to reality i'd say.
  19. They have coffee machines nowadays but it's probably bring your own pods.
  20. Cooper might not have been good enough for the Prem or a top 2 chasing championship side but that doesn't mean he'll be no good for a relegation battling championship side.
  21. They simply cannot commit to anything longer than when the transfer instalments will eventually run out circa 12 months, bit longer if Sammie goes. That is the top and bottom of it when it comes to first team players. If/once the owners get approval the funding will be drastically reduced which means they'll cover kids wages but not senior pros unless we magic more multi million sales.
  22. They probably want written confirmation he isn't going to ask them for 30 grand once the deal is done !
  23. It would be the best and some would say only way to move on from this ownership. Even if they announced now we are going up for sale it will end up being a long painful cock up ridden process that would probably end up with us in the hands of another crazy clueless owner with less brass.
