  1. And before people start celebrating the fees like we got our money back then think again. Both lads won't have been on big money but still thousands per week and both have been 'sold' so unless they put in transfer requests those 4 and 3 year contracts will have had to be settled under favourable terms. Like the Ennis farce any transfer fee received will just cover the pay offs and agent fees. So we've now paid off Broughton, Ennis, Leo and Tel in the last few months just to add a bit more to the losses column.
  2. Because it's window dressing to get linked with players and appease fans as it looks like something is going on. Since Waggot and that shadow director have been in charge we've seen it time and time again they let the recruitment dept present players they have NO intention of ever genuinely pursuing. It happened under both Mowbray's later years and the JDT era. Pair of con artists.
  3. It's probably what kicked off the issues with the Vs and their authorities in the first place and all the property and Akon stuff is collateral damage. I'd wager there is a stand off between the two and of course as always with this ownership and its problems it's the team and fans that suffer from something that is nothing to do with us. Apart the idiotic social media cult who blame fans for everything 'if we got 20k' everything would be fine nonsense.
  4. From what i can gather it's a blanket rule and increased from 5% to 20% in October 2023. So 4 million on 20 million is a hell of a lump of money to just give up.
  5. There is still a 20% tax levy now which seems to have been forgotten, can't see them being too happy about giving 2 million of every ten back to the Indian govt. Feeding the beast that is biting them and imo and a few others contradicting why they were so happy to send millions over in the first place. TAX.
  6. The Indian courts aren't bothered what fluff Venkys allow to be spouted in England.
  7. Commercial manager at BWFC.... when they slashed ticket prices..... He's been around a bit in the last few years though.
  8. There has never been such a lack of ITK pretenders on here in summer so even they've given up trying to peddle fake news. That's a real sign of the times ahead.
  9. At least they were stable ownership and had the dodgy dealings not gone on they'd have been stuck with it and maybe relegated anyway but maybe not because i doubt they'd have sacked Allardyce anytime soon. If we'd got to the new tv deal with them they might have allowed a bit of investment to at least keep us up a bit longer but we'd have eventually dropped anyway. They'd rightly have taken the flak but we'd have had a better decade than we have had even if we were stuck in the middle of the championship. Whatever flak we owe them at least they weren't bat shit like this lot and the heartbeat and soul of the club would have remained. Quite simply because the Jack Walker connection would have remained, we became Kentaro/SEM Rovers then Venky Rovers and that's what we remain as long as they are around.
  10. Speaking in hindsight now but it would have been better had we slid down under the Walker Trust and let them do the downscale. Then at least we'd have been on a lower running cost/income model and might have attracted less wealthy but more stable, interested owners. I'd take being a Barnsley any day over the last decades farce if we were owned by local ownership and genuinely trying to rebuild. If these lot turn us into that and stay (which is where my money would be bet) then that is horrific and we are stuck forever.
  11. But the funds come in in instalments so whatever is coming in over this season will be used for the operating budget. Only what will allow spending is Venkys sending extra money for transfer payments asap which is unlikely even in the rare event they wanted to because the court would probably only allow operating costs anyway. So imo we are stuck with this set up for the next year then there'll be no one to sell or big money owed by net summer so they simply have to get money across or we are going bust.
  12. So it's a bank guarantee i.e here's proof of our savings account with say 100 million in it and our bank issues a guarantee of a charge on it of 11 million. Rather than actually giving their enforcement agency money to hold ?
  13. I'm sure the 20% tax on top is also adding to the mix. The argument is they can't get funds to England without... A) Court approval b) A bond of real money for the same amount. c) A 20% tax levy on top of all that. If they aren't seriously putting measures in place to sell the club then it's inevitable something very bad is on the horizon.
  14. State Bank of India have had a long presence in the UK so i'd presume that deals with Rovers day to day stuff.
  15. Yes any decent sized cash signings tend to appear when there has been room created in the budget or following sales rather than any extra put in. Not sure how outgoing transfer spend versus incoming fees stacks up these days but not long ago it was pretty even over the length of their ownership.
  16. The way they fund the club means there is no chance they'll match bond after bond to allow funds transfer because they'd have to use personal money. I doubt they've used much if any of that in their entire tenure so it isn't going to happen now and they probably wouldn't trust their own govt anyway. Would anyone trust ours, past OR present ! I also questioned how urgent it actually was from the owners side to resolve this when they know there was half a team to sell and cut back opportunities. Every cloud has a silver lining when you are ducking and diving business men not risking your own personal stash. I'll be amazed if it goes ahead in August never mind being resolved if it actually does.
  17. One out, one in on similar wages is how they roll now.
  18. The first time i got took to Ewood as a kid we sat upstairs in the old riverside and when we went in i looked at it and thought this thing is going to fall down. Anyone who remembers the back of that thing in the mid 80s will know what i;m on about it was literally propped up with bits of telegraph poles. No wonder it was shut not long after but to be fair upstairs in there had a character and atmosphere all of its own and got me hooked on Rovers. Shame to see the present one heading the same way.
  19. Broughton was useless lets be plain and honest now. Leo, Ennis, Telalovic etc what more examples do you want ? I'm as angry with this club and ownership as the next man but i can certainly see why they binned him off pronto look at the deal he was setting up for Mcguire for gods sake. End of the day though the owners and people running it are at fault yet again as they employed someone with no track record in the job and he was set up to fail.
  20. The only keeper coming here is someone who'll sign for about 5 grand a week.
  21. All this dismantled the Darwen End is another monumental six digited myth it was literally TWO of them clambered on top and pulled off an asbestos sheet.
  22. But we are letting hem go for nothing or letting them get poached by the bigger clubs for next to nothing after nurturing them from the age of 8. How is that going to change because from where i'm looking at it it's now the trend and business model of the massive wealthy clubs and their agent friends. Only way to sustain and prosper a club like this is aim for and put everything into getting to the Prem, even if it's just to be a yoyo club. Anything else is pointless.
  23. Or they'd be saying it's a grand idea if you wanted to 'lose' millions in profit through the books and advertise your brand. All whilst giving younger family members something to play with and keep them occupied and away from the daily company stuff.
  24. Where do you buy your chips these days ?
