  1. I think he just doesn't know himself from one day to the next so he just does his salesman job and pays lip service in favour of the owners because he daren't do anything else. He's been proven to be a bullshitter several times even having to back track himself so his word is worth fresh air but the actual truth is most things go on above him.
  2. I strongly suspect you are on to something there but either way coming out of that deal with the minimal of damage done finance wise can't be a bad thing. In a better organisation we'd have loaned him out and brought in instant competition or replacement for Pears but in this madhouse any bit of common sense has to be applauded.
  3. You always make posts like this so why don't you ###### well do it. I don't claim to be anything other than a fan on here and those in the Trust represent us and have lines of communication already open. Think about it before opening your yapper.
  4. Things took a turn for the worse overnight last summer and now it seems we are at a similar point again with as predicted further budget cuts and trying to make our own player sales income last another 12 months. Is anyone on the blower to Waggot demanding answers and demanding the shadow director give an explanation ?
  5. Correct. Their one and only flirt with a real go getting ambitious young coach whose desire was to build a top 6 side quickly but on a budget they pulled the plug on. Very strange and some would say suspicious seeing as that was the type of guy and the objective they always claim they've desired. Even more odd their safe as houses steady plodder actually finally delivered a tilt at the play offs after 5 years and ironically after a budget cut and they let him go in order to appoint the young ambitious coach. So now we have Eustace who is here and was brought in soley because he is a firefighter who knows damn well what hes walking into. It's a no lose situation for someone like him and there is nothing better on the horizon he's actually the right man for the job when the only aim is to finish one point or place better than last season amid all the sales and cutbacks.
  6. The Dolan situation has been rumbling on for a year now and he is another who'll stroll about this season then leave for nothing. This club is rotten to the core he should have been sold way before now as there is no money to give him a pay rise and it has seemed clear for a year he won't sign unless he gets a decent one. Useless absolutely useless, it's hard supporting players who don't really want to be here anymore but it's even harder trying to justify supporting a club with administrators and owners like this one. Tossers but obviously it'll all be the players fault.
  7. They are all squealing now, anyone reckon that so called agent on about a player clear out was actually referring to the women's team. Seems a coordinated attack rather than organic.
  8. Maybe he can tip up a few quid for the ladies team then.
  9. They never send transfer money anyway but i'm on about the reduction in budget so instead of sending 6 million or 10 million it'll be 2 or 3 million per time. Slow drip, slow death.
  10. Well we know on 50% of facebook and 75% of the LT it won't be the owners fault.......x187.
  11. I'm just wary they'll get approval again as a one off and they'll just drip in a few million enough to keep the lights on topping up our own player sales money and the whole thing will rumble on. If i was a betting man that's where my last quid would be going, another 12 months or purgatory at least before it's resolved or they have to ditch the club.
  12. I remember reading something a few years ago saying Mrs D was keen to see the womens side of it be a success at Rovers so i'm sure she could make a personal donation as a gift from her tens of millions personal wealth. No FFP and surely a personal gift of say 50-100 grand wouldn't incur too much tax, she could crowd fund it if need be.
  13. Our own generated income will only last so long now even if there are more sales so something will have to give unless they send big money again as is their responsibility. My real concern is that they will start sending money again eventually but it'll be vastly reduced because of all the problems and taxes meaning the managed decline will continue. Not helped imo by having people at the club whose speciality is cost cutting and managed decline meaning they'll be going along with it still collecting their wages until the shit finally hits the fan. Then one will retire with his gold plated pension and the other will scoot off back to India working with chickens again. Any real responsible CEO and board of directors would be on a plane over there demanding to know how this will be resolved in the medium to long term and offering their own solutions - ie We urge you to instruct us to try and find buyers for the club or other investors before it's too late. More chance Jesus turning up than these lot rocking their own comfy boat like that so imo we really are now finally in the death by a thousand cuts mode.
  14. Looks like the shadow director is back from India with his budget and it isn't a good one.
  15. They'll now just want young novices to polish up and move on regardless of the impact on the teams standing. So just like the men's first team then !
  16. Probably just looking forwards to going on the lash with Mcfadz and Fleck.
  17. There'll definitely be one vote for option 3.
  18. Seems as though don't read it that way because they don't want to but it's pretty obvious what the craic is and Waggot himself is a proven bull shitter several times over.
  19. So we got out of jail with Ennis and hopefully Leo, only Tel to go now and all Greg Broughtons great work has been undone ! Who brought him to the club ?
  20. It's fair to say sales have dropped off the cliff since the price went up.
  21. We're hardly going to miss him though are we, until he turns up at Arsenal in 5 years time 🤣
  22. I actually think the club is more saleable now than it has been for a good while, for a sensible price of course. Wage bill and running costs (supposedly) reduced, most real high earners off the payroll. A few saleable assets still remain without money owed on transfers for them, a few decent young players on modest contracts. Academy still providing a few potential championship standard kids, Owing to sales club standing on its own feet temporarily without big outside borrowing, as far as we know yet, Training ground off the books to reduce price but still own our own ground and academy site, Still have championship income and solid crowd ave of 14/15k plus new tv deal. Absolutely perfect time to sell right now and priced right a terrific buy for the right people, bags of potential and no massive debts to pay off.
  23. What these 'blame the fans' cult need to grasp is IF we got 20k every week (which we never would and never have at this level now) it wouldn't make a jot of difference. We've seen enough evidence of that all it would mean is maybe a slightly bigger budget spewed on more execs, backroom staff etc and wasteful contracts alongside meaning similar loses and owners needing to put less in. So it might help them but not us. It's genuinely hilarious that there are those out there who think it would solve everything because it wouldn't touch the sides. The whole idea of having wealthy ownership is to help a smaller town club compete with bigger city rivals. FFP works against that now but the main problem has always been how those owners run the club and what their real ambition and intentions are. A few thousand extra in the stands cannot alter that one jot at this club but blaming the fans amongst our lot is like blaming the car exhaust every time it rains or boils.... it's fake news.
  24. Factual and if you can't accept reality you need to have a rethink.
