We spent millions on BBD and it took him years to get up to speed but he stepped up when ready, we spent over a million plus add ons on Sammie and it took him a season to step up so really a similar signing to himself should be coming into the building now. Building for the future seems to have gone out the window in favour of a return to cobbling together whatever they can 1 season at a time. Can we really not find a million or two for a proven lge 1 fwd who's ready to try and step up !

Without fact checking i think by his age Sam Gallagher was on the books of a Prem club, had scored goals in the Championship and had moved for 5 mill and 15k a week. I might be wrong but drawing comparisons there is a bit of a stretch.

Main issue with Morton and the lad last season was their lack of physicality and experience but they are sent here to make and learn from mistakes and build matchday strength and fitness. We are a development club after all.
