  1. Money nothing more nothing less. I hope he invested his 8k a week wisely because he'll be on about 800 now.
  2. Only this club could switch from spending money setting up a new model 90% based on youth to paying them off then switching to high paid OAP signings only model in the space of a year.
  3. Who is the Head of Managed Decline, Waggot or Suhail ?
  4. The Euros is probably where Suhail is enjoying his summer jaunt with his agent pals. The budget will be set by Vs/Rovers myriad of finance directors then await approval from Mr D.
  5. Perhaps that'll pay the VLL overdraft down in India then they'll look to grow another team to sell. Rinse and repeat.
  6. Standard wage then was about £500 🤑
  7. I like Mcfadz he's a proper defender and leader but he'll be 38 before next season is finished and no way will he be able to play regularly anyway. Legs are going and could give up at any point so handing out a 12 month deal at c10k a week needs thinking about long and hard. It's another half a million down the tubes BUT he could play a big part again when fit enough in keeping us up. Back to the days of Jim Beglin and Mick Duxbury 🙄
  8. Waggot himself admitted he should have been there you can't get anymore simple as than that the man is CEO and is ultimately responsible for everything.
  9. He was in the Birmingham exec lounge when he was needed in Jan 2023. Where was he when needed in Jan 2024 ?
  10. Respectfully disagree as i think they are just back to winging it and a large part of what is going on seems to be Waggot re arranging the chairs how he sees fit. My hunch is he's being left to get on with it because he's brought millions in from player sales to cover running costs, something they can't or won't do right now so that's earned him the right to actually wield a bit of power. I think what happened before with the introduction of DoF, head coach model was much more in keeping with an actual thought out plan. What we are seeing now is just back to season by season 'journey' type stuff.
  11. Way too much credit for their thinking. Reckon it's just a case of Waggot feathering his own nest again telling them he has just the man to take over but needs to mentor him for a while. Therefore he's stopping himself from getting the boot and probably eeking out another years salary and perks. All the hallmarks of how a slippery toad would work.
  12. If you were a Bristol / Chester, Everton / Sheff Weds fan, with an ambition to climb the journalistic ladder whilst being paid to report on Blackburn Rovers, how far would you go to get the truth yet not get sacked for upsetting too many people ? There;s a reason that lot never employ actual Rovers supporting journos anymore.
  13. Not sure he has any actual interest in the football club but it appears that Mr D is the main man in regards to finance from the VH group. It's been said Suhail is Balaji's man but as we see on the accounts the funding comes from VH not Balaji personally so i reckon this has been a source of problems down the years. He has an idea and gets his men to implement it then it gets refused funding from above or overruled. Might explain the constant chopping and changing as i don't think the 4 of them ever all actually agree on what to do with Rovers. There's only one of 2 decisions to make really though......run it properly or sell it !
  14. Suhail has always been the same he is a shadow director directing things at Rovers on behalf of his boss big Barry they only gave him a title last time the spotlight was turned on him. Now just think about the inner goings on at Rovers the past 2 years and consider him and Waggot and big Baz being over ruled by the funding masters Mr & Mrs D. You must let your mates Tony and Mark go and you must install a DoF and head coach model to take the club in a different direction because funding has to be cut. Nice cushy number for all 4 gets upset and taken away which leads to back stabbing, in fighting and under hand tactics until you are back in control. Then you set up your nice cushy number again funding the club by player sales to keep the big 2 off your back and keep your immediate boss and his agent pals happy. This kind of shite will never go away until they do.
  15. There is no proof things are any different than they were before March when there was no hearing because it was pushed back until August, all that can be checked. Jackson is just repeating Waggot from previous interviews where he attempted to talk his way around it instead of being asked the real questions directly like 'Is the transfer income funding the club and do you not expect any from the owners until that runs out' and 'can you put it on record they can send funds anytime they are needed without court approval'. Quite easy to get answers if you actually ask the fucking questions direct. I suspect there'll be no funds sent this year and any budget signed off will be one factoring in the clubs own income and maybe just maybe another sponsorship payment that might be allowed regardless of the other stuff.
  16. The most epic idea is too follow the lead of Preston, Bolton, Huddersfield, Bradford and indeed the former well run proper Blackburn Rovers FC and slash full ST prices. Give everyone a chance to come, remove the stumbling blocks and excuses of part timers and stick 3 to 5 thousand extra in Ewood overnight. That's radical and it's guaranteed to work even with the crap that's been going on under this lot, anything else is a bit pointless.
  17. No need to give them all the end - or anyone else for that matter - restricting it to a max 5000k with most in the upper is enough tickets. Stop this 'big welcoming awayday' nonsense that Ewood is becoming known for in the Championship. In this era of young squad and a lot of inexperienced players breaking through lets make it all about giving us the best home advantage we can instead of a full end of big city hordes breathing down their necks down that end.
  18. That would be tremendous but they'll never have the bottle for that under this regime.
  19. They couldn't price it at half the price of a full ST that is taking the piss out of those who buy a full one in order to save a few quid whilst committing to supporting the team whether it's good or bad. Yet there wouldn't be significant flexi sales unless there is a big discount offered so we are back to square one. Only proven products really work like big discounts on full STs and the odd big single match ticket discounts on Saturday afternoons or night games back end of the season if there is something to play for. A flexi 3 game ticket only available into the season once full ST's are off sale and to be used before Xmas with the option of then renewing for another 3 might be something worth looking at. However it would still need to be a big discount otherwise it's just a 3 game, bundle albeit flexible, and your looking at selling a few dozen !
  20. How would it be priced ?
  21. He is another one talking about a plan, used to be journey then it was project then it was a changed project but now it's a plan. Can someone down there please tell us what it actually is ? Because all we see is an effort to shove as many youth as possible in the squad to drive down the wage bill. Sell the best of those as soon as possible alongside any worthy senior player. Then reinvest nothing and use the money to pay the running costs and whilst this penny pinching is going on they bloat the exec structure year on year for some bizarre reason. Only plan i can see is pray there is enough resolve in the squad and head coach to avoid relegation year on year.
  22. That seems to be your stock answer when you've gone down a blind alley again.
  23. So when they put the usual money in in summer then to run the club all the Wharton transfer instalments and Raya money should be freed up for investment ! Nice one Steve, don't waste it.
  24. Rudy works for Steve and Suhail they are his bosses and his mentors and in turn he is another protection layer in front of them. Therefore he'll be speaking for them whilst they hide in the shadows 'doing their best' and 'looking into things' so they certainly wont get called out or get veiled digs JDT and GB style. We wish him well in this created role and hope he is a huge success ....whilst it lasts.
  25. Whereabouts in town was the St Ledger hotel ?
