  1. Who's going to buy a half season ticket for a season like last season ? Besides they certainly weren't cheap if you chucked them out at 50 quid you might sell a few even in an average or poor season. You talk yourself around in circles.
  2. Ticket bundles never work to the tune of more than 150 sales so the flexi ticket is unlikely to appeal to many other than those who would normally buy an ST knowing they wouldn't get to all games anyway. That would make a dint in sales of full STs that would unlikely be balanced out with extra sales of flex tickets, yeah might sell a lot but the income would take a spanking as would bums on seats at actual games. Bad idea, nobody of our ilk does it as far as i know and with good reason.
  3. Point being that Rudy is seeking a career in an executive position and is training for it anyway regardless. Not like Rovers just picked up the phone and dialled ex players to see who was interested, more like he fell into their laps and is either working cheap or being subsidised.
  4. Why ? I keep seeing this but what is the reasoning behind it other than he's a popular ex player ?
  5. When is Guru Josh coming or has that been shelved now ?
  6. Nobody at Blackburn Rovers is allowed to direct anything.
  7. It's just a created window dressing position whilst he completes his studies. Every dept already has a head so it looks like he'll just wander around between those different depts and report back to Laurel and Hardy. Easy money, no power to do anything and no accountability.....until something goes wrong and his head gets served up.
  8. Expect him to be in the media more than Broughton was, expect him the first to be sacked next summer if we have a season like last ...or worse. Window dressing again.
  9. The Waggot and Suhail show is the soap opera that presents these people to the ownership as a good idea, in order to retain their own grip on the inner club and continuing riding the gravy train.
  10. So how many changes have there been in those departments in the last few years before we even mention a DoF etc. And people wonder why we never progress, club is still a joke set up and the common theme here is Waggot and Suhail aka Laurel and Hardy.
  11. But they haven't put any money in since when ? I trust the same people clinging to the V teat will reflect that on July 4th because it's the same logic.
  12. The sole aim from the start of next season will be to grind enough points to stay up, so it won't be pretty again. However it will be based around having a much better home record so at least the losing at home mentality should be consigned to the bin.
  13. Flexi tickets are a dud idea so forget it. Economic suicide when you are trying to get as many as possible to buy full ST's.
  14. Only way anything happens is if they forensically crawl across all the transactions between VLL and the club and every club transaction for the last 14 years. Can't see the Indian authorities doing that or being able to do that so they'd have to present something to British authorities who probably aren't arsed anyway. So as it is it's just looking at money movement from VH group to VLL and all its thrown up is the property purchase and Akon investment. I suspect all the hold up now just surrounds them getting back the Indian assets that were seized to the value of the dodgy transactions which they could probably get away with saying were done by mistake.
  15. Lets face it if we didn't have Pears back catalogue of errors and overall ability to debate we'd have nowt to talk about. Big up Pearsy lad !
  16. That's bollocks and you know it really. What if he wants Ruddy but can't get him ? What happens then ?
  17. But he's probably better at some things than some other keepers, playing with feet for instance. The whole style of young keepers has changed in recent years and standards in actual keeping aren't what they used to be, too much emphasis on other stuff instead of just commanding the ball. Obviously the style of football in general moving away from wingers, long ball, percentage football and all the rest is behind that. Pears is only a season or so of being a full time keeper when all is said and done, IF and a big IF he cuts out the real howlers he's a bang average developing championship keeper. Ten a penny in this league.
  18. I think Pears is probably a bog standard mid level championship keeper these days so unless they pull a rabbit out the hat there'll be nowt better unless there is investment. No way is this set up finding another Kaminsky for half a mill.
  19. Tell me how he signs a better keeper than Pears with no transfer fee above maybe a few hundred grand ? Yes there'll be a few players but non of them will be first choice keepers.
  20. What kind of choices do you see him actually having ? He can want whatever he wants but he won't get it at Blackburn Rovers and that's why the guy is here, to work with what he has. Does the fact they are going to give a contract to Fleck again if he proves himself fit not tell you where this club is at right now ? There is NO money.
  21. I think as time goes on the main worry will be at the other end of the pitch. The whole set up now is one of 'just get by' and to an extent we can do that with Pears and co but once the goalscorer is gone the really serious issue begins.
  22. You can never ever say money won't be an issue here so whether Eustace rates him or not he'll be starting as number 1 again because of that very issue, money. Unless Leo has a blinding pre season if he's still here but otherwise we make do with what we have in order to have cheaper wages and use money for paying running costs.
  23. Raya esqe he looks good as long as he can do the basics and they ALL make a balls up now and again the key is once or twice a season not once every 5 or 6 games !
