The Summer Transfer Window (Press Submit)

Yes chucking the fee money at the big wages of another over age player can't be described as re-investment in any form. -

Ruddy working with Pears and keeper coaching in general might not be a bad thing he certainly couldn't be a worse number 2 than Leo at this point in time. -

He can be as fit as he wants when he's running around but in the contact situations that are unavoidable as a pro footballer his old injury will rear its head again in no time. That's the problem when it comes to throwing contracts about. -

At PNE prices we'd easily achieve similar levels to them and thinking otherwise is as daft as thinking we'd have 10k return overnight if Vs left. If you look at Bolton they had a bit of uplift when the club finally went into decent hands but the real incline was once they'd done the cheap early bird. No reason that couldn't happen here in similar circumstances. -

And their active fanbase is 18k largely made up of Prem bandwagoners over the last decade. As opposed to our 12k largely made up of the loyal hardcore who've been fed bull shit and nonsense from Pune for 14 years. -

All good things come to he who waits as they say. As a kid i never thought i'd see 20k home fans on Ewood never mind play in and then win the top division one day. Hope is the only thing left now. -

We differ slightly because we are one of the smallest towns with some of the lowest wages in real terms and some of the most deprived wards in the country. So the product needs to be a bit cheaper in order to price to the market, something John Williams realised although he mostly had Prem football to offer. -

He would be Waggots glove puppet and another shield between him and fans it would be a crafty move installing a popular former player on his part. -

If Broughton couldn't do it properly what's the point in an even bigger novice coming in just to get paid to be ignored. -

Just imagine for a second we get rid of these owners or they get rid of the brace of clowns running it and the finance problem is solved. Back comes JDT in a year or two's time with some actual year on year investment and a project to finish ! -
It's over for them if they can't send money or it is very restricted to far lesser amounts from now on. Club will just wither away - its been doing that anyway despite their funds - but once the cash cows have been offloaded it's game over. Any responsible ownership would by now have contingency plans in place or be actively seeking a buyer or investor.

Waiting to announce them as digital sales only probably, buy in person incurs a £50 pound penalty charge.

Don't worry we'll get to keep the Garrets, Buckleys etc on 5 year contracts trying to keep us in the Championship ! -

Don't see the fuss about Gestede but we are a desperate bunch. Lad came here fir a short spell, did well, left for a big move for big money and didn't cope with the step up then faded away so it's not like he's a legend or anything and what can he bring to the table ? He's essentially just on a work experience placement and tbh he'd be more use putting his boots on again, if Fleck can get a chance so can he ! -

Well no, the figures banded about were 35k pwk i think 🤑 Think we can all agree it was a really stupid bit of business and at least with GB he got money back to cover his cock up with Ennis. This one smacks of someone pocketing a few quid on an easy to do deal that only ever had a 1 in 50 chance of being worthwhile. -

Nail on head, Waggot perhaps did the deal between his Sheff U counterpart and the player himself meaning a large agent commission avoided which gets the thumbs up from Pune, meanwhile a nice few grand smoother for himself. Theoretically of course. -

Totally different dynamic sanctioning a multi million pound deal over several years with a hefty lump sum down payment to taking over a 6 month contract at 25k pwk with no lump sums involved. Fits way easier on the books when you've already loaned a guy out on half that which was already in the budget. -

The whole point of another club taking over the remainder of the contract is to allow the player to move free, as in no pay off and no fee. The wages stay large because there is no pay off nor signing on fee so it's a straight forward deal nobody loses out and the next club just picks up the tab for 6 months. -

WE'd just received the first Wharton instalment so there was a few quid floating around otherwise we'd have got no one at all. Also both those signings were experienced players and both would be on good money. I'm not having it that some guy would walk away from 25/35k a week to come here because he 'might' get a game. -

This is exactly why they end up making cutbacks because they allow this shite to go on just like the wasting of 6/7 mill on a player then walking for nowt alongside several others. Then every so often they say hey where is all the money going, why isn't income increasing and why aren't we being promoted ? Common denominator is the deadbeats they allow to run the gaff and their own ignorance. One will never change but they could change the other. -

I'm sure there'd be a massive drop in any wage offer for a contract this time but anything other than a cheap pay as you play is utterly diabolical. But if he has the right connections his foot is already in the door and nothing makes sense at this club. Every single signing is obviously a gamble so why in the first place sign a player where the odds are so heavily stacked against him even playing. ####### stupid at best. -

Yes he was quite a character that's for sure and he ended up in the clink again for money laundering when pulled over and found to have 500 grand cash in his car boot. Some people just can't lie straight in bed despite having already made themselves millionaires !
