The Summer Transfer Window (Press Submit)
tomphil replied to RoversClitheroe's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I doubt Ruddy at this stage is any sort of upgrade on Pears but having him in the building working with Pears and as solid backup would make sense. However you wouldn't want to be paying him anything more than a wage that reflects that we don't want people doing people favours again. I've seen rumours that Benson has left though no idea if that's true but Ruddy in as keeper coach, back up keeper might be a good fit. -

They are just settling in for another cosy old boys club again down there now the shadow MD and his CEO have rearranged the chairs. Club funding itself short term through sales, firefighter head coach/manager happy for a job knowing the restrictions, owners happy there is no hassle for a while. Waggots pension fund manager ecstatic. -
He had a good grounding in various aspects of football but wasn't experienced or qualified as a DoF so who can be the least bit surprised it was hit and miss. Just like on the playing side if you operate that cheapo hope for the best model then you have to take the rough with the smooth. He's learning and making his mistakes on the job just like Pears or Leo. He would have done better with some sensible budget no doubt but he would still have had to source young cheap back up players to polish and sell and he was poor at that. Flip side of the coin is he could've had millions and wasted that putting us even further in the shite. Being undermined at every turn though because a pair of power hungry tossers have their noses out of joint was the real problem.

Yep they took over nearly 14 years ago and the last real academy asset in money terms was just being primed to sell so that's a long wait until the next one after Adam. -

He likes 3 thousand match by match buyers it adds up to more than if they were all ST holders. -

No sure what more evidence they really need... Rudy 1 mill to 5 mill Rhodes 8 mill to 11 mill AA 3 mill to 12 mill TK 500k to 2.5 mill The examples are all there but the new model seems to be bring through and sell youth whilst investing regular 500k's in other young players. -

I suspect they'll let the club eat itself for another 12 months, hope to stay up then bung a few quid in again somehow on the remit we grow/source cheap another team to sell. It'll go on and on forever unless something suddenly out the blue tips it over edge. -

Selling those two will keep the Venky ####show on the road a while longer without their input. -

But we still have more players to sell in summer that will keep the charade going. -

We would be better getting 2 at 7.5k who can contribute or putting it towards a loan of something decent. Offering him anything other than a modest pay as you play deal is rank stupidity at best and something smelly at worst. -
Usyk won that no doubts but it looked like a draw was on the cards you can always guarantee one bent/crap judge. If Usyk had real power as well that is over before the end, Fury had his moments midway which is where i thought he'd get Usyk beforehand. He always slows a bit midway and maybe Fury with more weight gets him out of there i think he might be regretting the decision to go light and try and outbox the master. Usyk is the real elite boxer and that showed last night but Furys resilience is top drawer, he was gone in the 9th though, should have been stopped. Anyway his 0 that he has gone to great lengths at times to protect has gone, his ego and that of his family and nuthuggers shattered forever. That'll do me.

Go easy on Steve he's not feeling it tonight his bonus target has taking a big hit with Bolton messing up. 1-1.5k Oxford at sub 30 quid instead of 5-7k Notlob at 30 quid ! No jelly and ice cream in the Waggot mansion tonight.

Horwich is about 5 miles from Chorley, Blackburn is double that. I live around this area i get the feel for what i'm talking about there is massive support now for BWFC naturally in Horwich but Adlington, Chorley and areas around the A58 to Wigan plus Farnworth etc. That probably adds up to 2 or 3k extra season ticket holders taking advantage of the cheap STs. The Bolton borough may be a similar size to BbwD but has double the popluation and it makes a difference regardless of the Manc clubs. UTD draw a lot of regular support from Bury and Rochdale and always have as well as Bolton of course but the area between Bolton and Manchester is well built up.

Broughton has named everyone at the club except those two and there was no fawning at the owners either. JDT is the only person ever here to call out the shadow man, alongside Waggot. Mowbray even started dropping 'my CEO' in towards the end of his tenure or should i say tether. When quizzed on the Operations Manager he only toed the company line though, oh he's the owners conduit and almost pretended he didn't actually know what he did. Maybe he didn't but the guy is or was down on the official site as Operations Manager, strange the local media seem willingly blind to this also.

So hes had to leave a message on his Linkedin page they couldn't even give the courtesy of the club account. Says everything about these classless tossers.

Yet the bullhitter is portraying again that is all ok whilst in reality transfer income is funding everything and there'll be next to non of it to reinvest. -
Wasting transfer income paying people off yet again.

Disagree, they've got a well populated and quite wide catchment area but like most North west clubs they have many others on the doorstep. What it is with them now as iv'e already pointed out is they have a hell of a lot of young fans from the Horwich, Adlington, Chorley etc areas as well as obviously Bolton. Because it's cheap and they are a big fish in a small pond and the young football fan just loves a bit of willy waving.

Pointless exercise anyway as anyone who wants to attennd a Bumley, Bolton, Leeds, PNE fixture will get a ticket. Be a great incentive if our stadium held 21k not 31k though. To Waggot it's all about his income target and his bonus. -

I'm loving this 6 or 7 million being chucked around again, every summer it's the same. It ain't happening unless someone has a rush of blood over another Brereton style 'investment'.
