I remember them bringing about 900 here to a Prem game and not many more the season after. They sold about 6k in the DE when it was £10 a ticket in a Prem game they won when Campo scored. We had some poor turnouts there as well but Gartside always charged us more. Somehow i don't think they'll have a problem filling it next season though, Waggot will be praying they come up and Leeds balls it up.

I very much doubt he actually did at all besides that means nothing when it comes to NDA's. -

Not sure what ? Plane fare, taxi's and hotel that's fair enough although we've been told he was told NOT to get on the plane but did anyway because Sheff W were interested. Signings fall through all the time although admittedly not in this daft fashion but he can stick a comp claim where the sun doesn't shine. -

They usually say that along with India won't sign off big discounts when in reality it probably never even gets pitched to them to sign off. -

The fact he'll have had to sign a seriously written NDA on leaving in order to secure his pay off and protect the club from doing the very thing we'd all like to hear, let's not pretend it's all about moral codes. Money buys silence. -

Offer last seasons early bird again to regulars and offer 1000 STs to newbies/lapsed St holders at half price in the riverside, first come first served. Some will moan but most will understand and it's not something that will cost the club anything at all whilst getting more bums on seats in the most empty stand. That would guarantee sales of 10k it's quite simple really when you think about it. -
Bolton now have loads of youth from Horwich, Adlington, the A58 corridor to Wigan and of course Chorley all on the bandwagon. Most of them have never known anything but relegation, admin, lge 1 but it's a local club it's cheap it's a good craic because it's a winning team. They ain't arsed about the Prem it's all about the buzz of being a big club in a little league and expecting to win more often than you lose and chasing promotion every season. A whole generation of new fans nailed not through the Prem mirage but trough being a proper local football club with ambition and more to the point so affordable you don't get fed up so easy if things aren't going well.

So we are now going to have a DoF and his own assistant ? Just how many backroom staff does this club actually need, it seems to expand all the time adding another layer after layer whilst cutting the playing payroll to the bone.

If she was fit then most blokes would be back regardless if there was half a chance on the cards. Which kind of relates to the money situation with McGuire, if 3 clubs are in and Rovers offer the most he'll be back here again. Is he really worth all this hassle though ? -

They used to price to the local market and that's something Bradford and Huddersfield have done with more recently Preston and Bolton cottoning on. Here now though they price to a monetary target that presumably includes nice bonuses and incentives to hit and breach. -

We need to leave this Mcguire thing alone now he's obviously going to ask for silly money, really not worth throwing away a daft contract on through guilt. If we can't find and BUY another Dack or Sammie type from league 1 or similar or for once loan in a good fwd then we might as well give up. -
What could possibly go wrong with this one.

I think the one that went down under TM (Coyle) was worse mainly because it had plenty experience and one of the reasons this one is weak is it's tiny and half full of youth and loans. Spirit is better than back then otherwise we wouldn't have stayed up and a lot of the players it isn't really their fault it's the clubs fault for throwing them under the bus without any help. -
Main difference for me between AJ and Fury is the latter much as i detest him usually gets his tactics right on the big nights. AJ was bizarre in that first Usyk fight he was trying to outbox a pure boxer and totally neglected his main attributes whereas the big dosser uses every advantage he's blessed with very well. Anyway a few interesting stats .. In genuine lineal HW fights ( not sure this really is but that's for another day) only two guys have ever won when giving away 50 lbs or more in weight, Jack Dempsey and Jess Willard. Surprisingly Fury - to date - despite his gargantuan size isn't the heaviest to win a HW title he's about 5 th in the list behind Carnera, Valuev, Rahman and Bowe. Everything aside from footwork is severely stacked against the Ukrainian it's some achievement if he pulls it off, somebody 0 has got to go as they say. Verdict - controversial draw 😆
-
I don't think Usyk carries real HW power like the top guys, technically he is the best but Fury is so long and awkward it's hard for anyone to tag him without taking one back. If Usyk had a good punch on him i think he wins this all ends up but as it is Fury will grab, pull, hold, foul and look to stop the older much lighter Usyk when he begins to tire. Nobody on earth hopes it's the other way around more than me.
-
Ego You've already mentioned what will keep him going as well as the lure of easy money. If he can earn 10/20 million beating up some dossers like hes done plenty times before then he'll keep doing it imo. Only a real good hiding would make him realise the game is up. Can't see it being on Saturday but i could seeing being v Joshua and that will surely come next.

At a competent club a decent gaffer backed by a competent board with a dash of ambition would find a better keeper with a bit more pedigree and pay him, hell it even happened here once with TK. However non of the above applies now it's not the way things are done therefore no chance they'll replace Pears. One good season next season and someone might shell out a million or two for an English keeper that's what they'll hang their hat on, another off the production line to pay the bills. With all that in mind Ruddy coming in as experienced back up to work with Pears and Leo going on loan wouldn't be the worst shout. You wouldn't want it costing 10/15 grand a week though. -

There'll be 3 or 4 loans as usual then i wouldn't be surprised to see the perms be a few older Brum cast offs on decent wage 12 month contracts. Then there'll be the inevitable 500k signing from Crewe or somewhere so 6 or 7 signings is a real possibility although what they actually are in terms of improving the squad is anybody's guess. -

Tony Mowbrays 'journey' was the last chance we'll ever have under this lot of doing anything remotely resembling trying to assemble a top 6 squad . Albeit on a limited budget but no forced sales, initial big investment and allowed expansion of the wage bill at times. -
Eustace will know that and be comfortable with it he can play his dour negative style 8 out of 10 games and it'll be justified if we are scraping enough points to stay clear. A no brainer for him he won't get sacked no matter how bad it gets and doing ok with nothing at a going backwards outfit will get him a move elsewhere.

Well with whats happened with Wharton Venkys are daft enough to be now sold the notion we don't need to buy anybody and just blood academy kids hoping for massive profit. Unless they were intending losing the money i reckon the BBD farce may well have put them off any big investment. -
Yeah his hands on role saw BBD, Rothwell, Nyambie and Lenihen all leave for nothing the man is useless but i bet he suddenly becomes unuseles when there is a cut to be had.

I agree but we have to go after proven good players and pay a fee and wages there has to be some pedigree already there. Like Dack, Szmods and even Armstrong and Rhodes, we HAVE to invest money. -
So it's quite likely hes spat his dummy out at the board over sales/reinvestment/lying about Indian funding sorted but it'll be spun by Waggots propaganda machine that it was different views over future signings with the Head Coach. Meanwhile that B&W poster will pop on to tell us Gregg wanted out and fashioned his own exit so it isn't anybody at the clubs fault whatsoever he's just another bad bad man.
