John Eustace - our head coach

It'll still be a football club it'll still need to function this is admin we are talking not liquidation. Did Bolton sack every one and draft in community paybackers to run the place ? Come on man talk sense for once, if it went in admin it would be bought out pretty quickly and yes there'd be changes but no more so than dropping to league 1 or een worse league 2. It's a shite state of affairs whichever way you look at it and the fault isn't keyboard 'warriors' saying hurty things, it starts and end at the top. Do i want someone putting money in to run a crappy going nowhere football club just to employ people or do i want a lean mean fighting machine punching above its weight despite less money/staff ? Option B every time sorry, get the money into the playing side, the better that is and the more successful we are there's more income and more jobs. Try looking at it that way instead of the brainwashed Waggot way eh. -

I think the main point being working for this club it must be in the back of their minds constantly anyway and this industry in general is hardly secure. At the end of the day the football club is an local institution that belongs to the town and it's purpose first and foremost is to provide entertainment and a bit of pride. If it takes a big step back and downscale but in doing so gets rid of the loons and parasites whilst falling into the hands of real custodians, vast wealth or not, then i'm all in. I'd much prefer things to be corrected the way the should be right now but that is never going to happen is it, it hasn't happened in a decade barring the odd brief pretence. Nobody on the Ewood payroll is crying about my or your jobs yet fans are expected to just rock up paying £25/35 per game or £4/500 per ST and continue to be treated like idiots. Whilst the rich sat in the void get richer and the owners make cock up after cock up but it's ok because they can afford it ? In the bin with that, enough is enough.- 3118 replies

The blame lies entirely in India i'm sure they'd be aware of that. -
Yet another mutual agreement then, very common here over the years 😑

Correct. A big part of Sammies success is his workrate and attitude, that isn't coming from Siggy he's a luxury player who will struggle under Eustace. -

That account is the damage limitation account on behalf of the club whoever it is. Always toes the party line and never tells anything Nixon hasn't said first. -

Like i said it's hard to take in when hes worked it fine for 97% of transfers usually not involving big money. -

It's a fair point to make and it would be of no surprise if the system was at fault or not fit for purpose or lack of basic training but it did seem to work for the majority of transfers. Somehow no one could work it properly for mid season big money buys though so it seems rather selective. -
Only in Rovers world could some think for one min a reasonably popular player, who was only here 5 mins, has zero experience of anything related to being a DoF is a better bet than the one leaving. Come on guys this is classic Venky/Waggot window dressing on the cheaper.

The fat man is just looking to stuff his pockets with as much bonus and % as he can as his retirement moves closer.

Waggot simply has to go no ifs or buts it's as plain as the nose on your face this guy is bad news. Whatever we think of the egg and my views are mixed he is another who has been sold a dud and undermined at every turn because the crooks in office at the club didn't want this model. Shaking them out their comfort zone and bypassing their little cartel. Said it ages ago Waggot and the shadow MD are Shagnew and GB is Shebby, we have revisited that era yet again. Also always said Waggot has his eye on us being the small time zero funded Barnsley model to carry on their cushy no fuss little number. In trying for this hes actually creating the new Charlton here and will leave us in the same position as them if he stays another 2 seasons. The man MUST go, end of.

But they portray ambition, ask Broughton ask JDT ask numerous players, all been sold a pup. If this fella is what it says on the tin he won't be here long. Training raw cheap options like Rudy and bringing in already on the parent firm Indian cricket fans is how the Venky model really works. -

It was a useless pointless signing of a player that in no way fit the then head coaches style and had a fitness record you'd expect of a 40 yr old. It was well documented at the Plymouth end when they wanted to keep him Rovers had offered 3 times as much. I wait with baited breath the gems Broughton is going to foist on us this summer using his extensive knowledge of getting young players to polish. Judging by the efforts so far industrial strength stuff won't polish that lot. -

The dept that trebled Ennis Plymouth wage, spent 800k on Leo and signed Tel you mean ? I'll hold my thoughts on their capability for now. -

If Mcfadz stays as a bit part player but they put him through his badges as part of the deal if that's what he wants then happy days. Needs to be a low wage though cannot be tying up what meagre budget we might have in a guy like that as hard as it is to say. He may well have better paid offers from lge 1 clubs so in that case we'll have to let him go. Finding another centre defender a bit younger with a bit of experience and attitude really shouldn't be that difficult for this so called DoF and backroom team. Should it ? -

Is there any other club in the land that might be waiting to see if two main local rivals get relegated and promoted before announcing their ST prices ? Farcical -
It was mentioned in the not too distant past by both Mowbray and Wagott and mentioned in regards to the merging of the Academy and training ground. Way before the 'sudden' budget cuts and raft of players leaving, being sold. Oh and also remember Waggot saying the 'owners would make up the shortfall' on any training ground sale/merger. To which i said How ? we'll end up with a half built building and a load of portacabins ! Well look where we are....

I remember watching Jones a few times playing for the U21s and he was like a mon playing in a boys team. He stood put. -
JDT frightened the life out of the lot of them at all levels of the club after years of the plod with Mowbray. If we only we could find a board with the same drive as him but the top and bottom of it is these owners couldn't care less about promotion. The model is all about plodding along losing 10 mill+ a season off the books with the least fuss for them as possible that's why they employ drips.

Doubt they'll get away with it because we played there first and the allocation is just over 2k. We gave them the same so regardless of the size of the DE there was no tit for tat we both had the same allocation. For all we know Rovers said give us the whole Cricket Shed and you'll get the full end at Ewood that the police will allow. They could easily have moved a few ST holders like we did in the past for the visit of Leeds and Preston. If we play them first and only get 1 thousand the same might apply at Ewood therefore it would be a bit dumb on their part. -

That means his wage demands will rule us out anyway once he becomes free so i think it's time everyone forgot about this one.
