I think he'll be expected to cope with losing some of his best players and replacing with little to nothing ready for another season of midtable security. I think that's why he's here and hopefully is the right man for that job, sadly a place we don't want to be but that's the reality of the 'project' 'journey'.... sorry 'downscale' !

Venky’s & Waggott Out Protest Ideas

I wouldn't be surprised if he is the one who gives the yes or no's on behalf of the owners only to have to change his mind after he's spoken to them. He's their man on the ground here representing them and always has been therefore he should answer questions on their behalf. The title 'Operations MANAGER' suggests he manages the whole operation here so he is accountable for just about everything on a day to day basis. -

If we sign McGuire in summer that means we've missed the try before you buy and are going straight into some crazy numbers deal Broughton has promised them. -

'Ask Steve and Suhail' I bet there were a hell of a lot of Rovers fans hearing that and saying 'who' ? Your time in the shadows is up my friend it's time to step into the light and answer some straight forward questions with honest answers. That's all we ask and if there is nothing to hide then why do you ? -

That'll be the strength of it although as his first senior pro contract here i doubt he's on more than 3k now so he'll be after a big rise no doubt. -

Well i was more referring to out in social media land where it was made to sound like some wheeler dealer masterstroke which is utter bunkem. Getting out of jail from a rotten signing is one thing but passing it off as a harmless bit of business is another so lets hope it's not a new policy. The fact he was fit enough to play a game for Stoke and score makes it look even more suspicious to me, it stinks but that's my opinion. -

Yes the JDT style should stand them in good stead if they keep working on certain principles of it. Looking at Burnley in the Champ they retained a lot of the Dyche era stuff but Kompany added some flair, counter attacking and pace. Kind of like the flip of what we need to do and obviously we are way off that level without investment it's still a good blueprint to follow. -

That's similar talk to how we were pacified under Mowbray after lge 1 promotion when he was investing in Armstrong, Brereton and Gallagher. On a journey to build a team and add value. Then we had JDT and we were told it's better to develop our own and smart small investments to grow a sustainable Prem team. Tomorrow never comes though they'll get sold when you go down and the project will start again ! -

He'll be another that gets moved on for a few hundred grand and the brainwashed will hail it as a roaring success taking a punt on a free and getting money for him. Totally ignoring the obvious wages/agents fees and costs involved also the rather more concerning fact he's been taking up a valuable squad place and contributing nothing. Hopefully they'll fix him a loan iv'e a feeling he could drop a level or two and start banging them in. Then he might create a bit of value worth the desperate punt. -

Rovers Rumours & Speculation

Only the other day Nixon was telling us a delegation from Rovers was going to fly to India in the coming months to discuss the future of the club. Now we are to believe Waggot has just nipped over there, secured his own position and nipped back in time for tea ? I'm calling BS on this one it sounds to me like an i'm not going anywhere propaganda job from inside the bowels of Ewood. -

Well this is an interesting one for many reasons and with them losing their last game they'll be looking to bounce back and old Tone loves a bounce back home game after a dire away showing. Eustace will know what he's up against and perhaps we'll learn the long forgotten art of the away draw here. Brum 1 Rovers 1 -

John Eustace - our head coach
tomphil replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I still think it's more vanity than face saving they'd drop it like a hot stone if it was nearly bankrupting them. The '20 mill' a season line though is just the opposite 'oh look we can easily afford to prop up this famous old English football club but it's problems are it's own not ours. We just very generously keep it going because we are so wealthy' ! In fact young Barry said as much to me on twitter years ago when i managed to have some dialogue, before he blocked me. -

Yes everything just fell into place way to smoothly for it not to have been already prepared in advance and fair play to them for that for once. -

A point worth noting with the change of tactics yesterday we didn't really miss Adam. Can guarantee if JDT was still here we'd have played the same, lost and bemoaned the missing presence of the 'on the turn' specialist. I hope Eustace doesn't turn us just into a long ball side we just need to add the ability to mix it up and vastly improve set pieces at both ends. As for GB i assume his focus now will be on finding Leo and Tel some football somewhere else in a few months time. I still think he'll be off in summer but personally i'd prefer to see the DoF model carry on for enough time to give it a chance with a head coach who can maybe identify the basics first and build from there. Yesterday was a start but lets not expect miracles. -

If Suhail likes him then it's because he's cheap and does as he's told and like i said we don't know what he does around the place but they let Venus be 1 st team coach & director of football. Lowey probably changes lightbulbs and unblocks drains in the afternoons. -
Fury and Wilder despite producing two decent scraps between each other have stunk up the Hw div for years. Sooner they both naff off and enjoy a long retirement the better.

People read too much into the Lowe thing he's just a bibs and cones and drill man who warns the players up and goes through the basics. I doubt hes anywhere near tactics these days or has much input other than a run of the mill coach and every club needs one of those. Yes a boss should be able to bring his own staff in but we don't know what Lowes workload is behind the scenes and as a localish guy he's probably happy to work for a modest whack so they'll never pot him. -

Funnily enough i was debating with someone about all the going on and we did comment it's almost as if this has been on the cards for a while. The Sweden thing has been in the background a good while in regards to JDT although he didn't appear to be a front runner but quite possibly the contract/compen thing was the reason way before things came to a head here. Waggots words about him being ambitious and we might not keep up with him in the famous bus interview now make sense i think there were expecting an approach and knew he'd be off first chance if it came. It was odd he'd say stuff like that but in reality it was a warning what to expect. JDTs demeanour and comments looked very much that of a man being held where he didn't want to be for a good while. The speed in which Rovers reacted to this is record breaking for Venkys it's almost normal so yes it's been in the pipeline it was just a matter of when not if.
