Great player to have in the squad just what you need in a scrap and this manager will be a bit more Mowbray style i think so it'll suit Trav. He'll have to be accepting he's a squad man though and the club will have to accept paying his wages, that's why he's unlikely to come back.

From what iv'e seen of Ipswich they seem a bit more old school although decent passing it around as well but they seem able to mix it up. Maybe all those seasons in lge 1 have given them that rough direct edge to add a bit more football to.

After the pressure cooker here it's a great job to slip into he'll do it for a few years then go and manage another big Scandi club probably. Doubt we'll see him in England again unless there is a water tight budget at an ambitious club but who knows football is a funny business.

Hirst just didn't really fit the JDT way and neither did Ennis so it's a real big issue when your DoF is keeping bringing in guys who don't fit what you want. Yes limited finances and pond to fish in but still it looked like bods for the sake of bods which clearly wasn't working.

We need to step away from the blueprint in order to get some points that was the issue with JDT but no point bringing in a manager unless he can stamp his own style. Knowing this lot they are only asking him to come until the end of the season.

Wouldn't be surprised if JDT wants to go now and it's Rovers asking him to stay until the end of the season come what may. Saving them the hassle and expense of bringing a load more in. By summer they'll be supposedly better prepped to negotiate the settlement and then can root around the free agent market as late as possible. Like normal saving a bit of wage money and giving a new guy no time to expect incoming players, that seems the preferred method here.

Why does he keep getting off the hook ? Mowbray kept referring to him as owners conduit yet he's down as operations manager on the official titles board. Others have said he basically is over Waggot and runs the show and now maverick JDT has actually dug him out. I suspect Suhail and Steve are somewhat of a gravy train riding arse covering double act but with more clout and slightly more experience than Shagnew.

It was a try before you buy but committing to those numbers for this guy would've been crazy and you can now see how we ended up with unfit Ennis on 4yrs and threw 800k we couldn't afford at Leo. Sorry but its been clearly demonstrated the guy is way out of his depth when it comes to value v match ready ability at this level. Getting our youth signed up and getting a few loans in is one thing and more in his line of experience but recruiting vfm for fist team ready players is a whole different ball game. His experience is that of an academy director and i suggest it shows.
