  1. Exactly If it wasn't him it'd be someone else but the same old scenario, might be a different style of football and we might be a few points safer. That would likely have come by drawing every week, just setting out not to lose and still watching dire unenterprising stuff designed to play it safe with developing players and make maybe one look good. A bit like Mowbrays later tenure with Armstrong in the side and Gallagher on the wing just to justify his presence. Until there are people in the directors box who give a shit beyond just existing then that's all we'll do.
  2. Even if it went through does anyone actually think we are going to pay those kind of figures for a player now ? No chance, hit or miss he'd be on a plane back to Orlando by the end of May anyway. You can guarantee though had they gone for the Brum striker at 10.55 pm on loan or till the end of the season it would have gone through by 10.59 pm !
  3. They aren't tools (they are upstairs) they are footballers and they have a head coach and team of coaches who need to concentrate on picking the right ones and moulding them into a solid cohesive unit who communicate with each other. That isn't happening they are still being selected and sent out to try and make themselves individually look better than they are. No point now the window has shut nobody is looking for fancy dan players playing in pretty patterns so it's time for muck and bullets. I don't think he is capable of selecting nor coaching that and will just continue on the road hes always been on. Who would have picked Moran to play in Whartons role ? I mean who in their right mind would do that it was destined to fail before it started, piss poor stuff that. Sadly we'll see more of it, weak management = weak team.
  4. The Rovers top brass at this end are lining up deals and getting told yes carry on then when the numbers drop in Pune the finance men are saying no. Because of the lack of 11th hour and 59 mins actual confirmation and money changing hands someone at this end is deliberatly fudging paperwork to buy extra time. Hoping when India gives it's confirmation the EFL etc will ok it after accepting the delay or accepting it after appeal. If India says no then it's still ok because they haven't committed the club to the final sign off and the keep their job, maybe even get a pat on the back. That was my view with O'brein and it's the same now the upstairs at Ewood is playing silly trying to be clever and protect both sides.
  5. That's what is needed but looks to me like they've all agreed he'll just go at the end of the season and despite him saying he'd walk for nothing last summer i think if they offered him money now he'd be off like a shot. They won't though and they won't want to source or pay a new guy coming in either so on we go despite the massive and clear stand off. That's why imo some of them don't give a toss about relegation because it provides phase 2 of the downgrade restructure on a plate. Only the ownership can alter that if it bothers them because these plumbs running it here couldn't give a stuff the shadowman will stay in his cushy position whatever.
  6. Fool me once fair enough but fool me twice ? No chance, something really rotten at the heart of this lightening does not strike twice we've signed players n the past from all over the place and filled in all the correct boxes.
  7. Yep everything is and always has been just whining it from year to year and that's how the likes of Waggot stay in post, no remit other that his a certain income target and continue trying to cut costs and keep the lights on.
  8. Which i believe is the one of the logo plastered around the ground and on the shirts.
  9. Phil Jones was how long ago ? Wharton is now so that's a long time and a lot of money but of course the bonus has been its produced one or two good enough for a championship squad. Also now though too many who aren't ready or good enough have been chucked in that's partly why we are struggling. In my view they'd just downgrade it to produce players good enough for the lge 1 squad then sell the training centre and the first team/academy would be on one site. The downgraded version of the pie in the sky scheme Waggot & co were cooking up anyway and more annual running costs would be saved. They are then creating a model that would run on its own much reduced income/expense terms that would only need propping up with about 5 mill or so a year. An absolutely terrifying prospect and maybe when Mowbray alluded to the models he regularly did the real one in mind wasn't Brentford at all it was Barnsley.
  10. Very true and they don't take money out as we know about so whatever their reason or advantage is to owning such a loss making overseas enterprise it's more likely down to just number crunching. By definition of not having to put in 18 million though they have actually deprived the club of that income so it amounts to the same thing. The Wharton money should come on top of annual funding as additional income to put the club in the strongest position its been in finance wise for a long time. But no there's always something there to prevent that with these lot so they are still damaging the club despite the illusion they are helping it just by keeping it going.
  11. Venkys are one of the companies who are sponsors and that i believe is Balajis firm who has the biggest say in the running if not the finance etc
  12. Always been full of them on those sights it's far easier to exist there than on twitter of forums were they get piled on.
  13. Is JDT becoming the convenient fall guy for another relegation that some running the club would be quite comfortable with ? Could literally fill the squad with academy kids and loans then and the wage bill would be rock bottom, Riverside shut, training ground let go. Reduction in income but massive reduction in running costs and easier to produce and punt on young players for champ clubs. Not exactly saying it's pre planned but that it might not be a huge concern because some ie Waggot and that clown in the shadows might have a plan for. Food for thought.
  14. I'll tell you how it'll go.... Very wealthy, honourable, still following wrong advice, still believe they'll get it right, it's all Andersons Indian Govts fault.....
  15. That's how they managed to get previous funding past their govt, it was down on the books as Ewood Osterich rearing farm with mushroom growing facilities. Been busted now though.
  16. Gagging order and NDA more like.
  17. Agree There'll be more player cashing in in summer by them anyway so the club might be able to wash its face for this year, aside from any huge tax bill of course. So no better time to put it up for sale and at least test the water. It's not ideal but we are in the shit anyway unless they are willing and able to inject big funds in the next few months to allow some buys in summer. Option A is a better option than admin for now at least it gives the club a fighting chance to change hands and survive.
  18. Half the fanbase is still unaware or ignorant to it and most of the rest who do know it's all because of the Indian govt. Investigation into dodgy transactions and frozen assets rarely get a look in.
  19. If they didn't give him a 4 yr c10k a week deal to a player previously on around half that it would have been plenty ahead. As it is as far as damage limitation goes they've done well but player and agent have done better. These type of signings again should not happen and the fact they still do is worrying, if a DoF and CEO's judgement is that bad they shouldn't be in the job. Who'd be surprised if the Leo signing doesn't follow a similar path.
  20. Every signing made yesterday was till the end of the season as well so that might tally. Don't know if it's on here but another theory posted was he'd been told the Wharton money is in 3 instalments, now, 6 months then next year and non will be spent on players it's all going towards running costs. So hes basically finally given up hope and thrown the towel in.
  21. Under Vs when they've actually sanctioned paying 1-3 mill for players they usually serve us well then get punted for profit. Why the hell this isn't the model with promotion the aim is baffling as the answers to earning decent money out of better quality is proven and staring them in the face. I guess though it all comes down to wages and if you want a kiddies wage bill you'll end up with league 1 football. AA - in 3 mill out 15 mill Dack in 1 mill value at injury 15 mill TK in c1mill out for a desperate cut price 2.5 Rhodes in 8 mill out 9 rising to 11 mill Marshall in c1 mill out c3 mill TC in c1 mill out 3 mill Rudy in 1 mill out 6 mill And there's more and should've been several others. The proof of the pudding is their so why now switch to a poundshop operation and risk the drop again makes no sense at all.
  22. That's exactly what the will be looking for next from their friendly agents client list, a puppet. JDT has too much maverick in him for their liking.
  23. If the model or project or whatever they want to call it is primarily developing players for value about anything else, it certainly seems that way, then JDT has done wonders with Szmods and Wharton. Whilst he isn't flawless and i have issues with his style the evidence of the above remit is overwhelming so maybe the critics backing owners, DoF over Head coach need to rethink. Would Wharton be a 22 mill player inside less than a year under Mowbray ? Like feck he would.
  24. No they are backing the manager and directing their ire at those ultimately responsible, the board ( do we have one ?) and the owner.
  25. Hes perhaps been told to alter his style a bit and been given a couple of players to do so and he isn't impressed.
