  1. As a few have mentioned it seems to be yet another stat based signing motivated by bring him in, polish him up and flog him in a couple of seasons. They've probably looked at his age and experience in another league and thought he's halfway there we can make a quick turnaround on this one and it'll look good bringing him in to replace TK. Somebody hasn't scouted him properly and the stats looked at the main focus was probably on passing out from the back, good at that, average at everything else...yeah he'll do. I think more than anything it's the environment of games here and intensity that hes struggled with from the off, his legs were almost visibly shaking in front of the DE in those PNE and Leeds games. Confident looking and sounding lads can be just the opposite of that once the fragile shell has been cracked. He might be 24 bur hes zero championship level football to draw experience from.
  2. Good luck to him but yet another signing that will make zero impact or difference to the problems we currently face. The 'one for the future' column is busting at the seams, the here and now reality is as thin as rice paper and not even as strong.
  3. I remember back in the Prem days when they had a spell in the matchday programme of publishing away followings and the most i ever saw was 7900 for Man City. That got my attention because when 'sell outs' were quoted normally then it was listed as c7300 or 7600. So we know unless it's a safety cert issue there is room for more than 7k and if they are getting that many another 600 or even 900 isn't going to make any difference. Although there'll be plenty moaning if Holywood wins and half of North Wales is on the pitch !
  4. Not yet quite the disaster many were fearing and i think we'll have at least 9k home fans hopefully more. It was similar against Forest last season where nowt was sold a week before then it wasn't bad on the night, off the pitch at least.
  5. People are paid a lot of money to know the difference in standard and the pitfalls of operating the policy we now do. They clearly bought Leo as an instant number 1 competitor and the chance of him having to be thrown straight in was always there. Really a lad like him should have been brought in and shipped straight out on loan for 3-6 months to get him up to speed. Failing that then straight into the U21s for plenty games to get to grips with how the club plays and the more physical nature of British football. A championship club should always have a competent number 1 and 2 to call on not be playing Russian roulette across half the team at once with kids.
  6. Again it's the curse of just looking at players first and foremost as a young investment just to put games and value into. GB has only been here 5 mins and beyond securing our players on contracts and maybe overseeing targets we were already first in line to sign, after being scouted by the previous regime, his talent spotting ability is already in serious question. Leo and Ennis ? That's 2 monumental cock ups already one costing 800k and the other a 4 year contract commitment.
  7. I think in this case its been way more justified than some of the others and to be honest i feel sorry for him and i'm furious at those whose judgement was so poor in bringing him. It can't be a coincidence now that every keeper who looks poor here suddenly looks better a few months after they've been trained and managed somewhere else. For all Kaminskis nice words about the coach here even he was going backwards at a rate of knots before he left but look at him now. There is something fundamentally lacking here in that dept and alongside maybe the coaching it's the consistent failure of the managers and head coaches ability to organise and implement a decent defence for them to play behind.
  8. Where has this 1000 extra tickets myth suddenly sprung from ? How many have they actually sold ? Because no one has ever had 8k in there the max is 7600, less if they leave the front row empty or net it off which i suspect they will for this. But yes by all means bung them another 600.
  9. It really shouldn't need fecking explaining should it but for your benefit those who want to buy on line will do and always do. Those who don't, can.t, just don't want to won't. As pointed out earlier many - me included - often only know if they are going or fancy going after finishing work so why in gods name does it make any semblance of sense to remove a hardcore supporters option of simply walking up and buying a ticket ? The only time iv'e stood in a queue for ages there was when the bastard turnstiles had a glitch bleeping in peoples DIGITAL pissing tickets ! And what happens when the website crashes an hour before kick off as people are trying to buy on their phones because that ain't unusual either. Just apply some common sense to it lad.
  10. A few extra stewards should cope just fine they managed to hire kung fu panda when there was a hint of anti Kean in the air.
  11. It isn't Heartbeat i doubt they operate like that these days.
  12. We find ourselves here every season with all this fake hysteria on social media when come the night there'll be near double that in the home sections which isn't a bad turnout all things considered, I'd expect about 3k to be sold with a week to go for a low demand game so it's slightly encouraging.
  13. That's probably the issue the police will charge more for more officers policing the ticket office.
  14. Wasn't the reason for the Raya deal being done this way all down to helping Brentford with FFP ?
  15. Police advice will be the excuse for this one. Put off hundreds of potential pre game walk up buyers because half a dozen young Welsh lads might try to buy tickets in a home section.
  16. So the pending cash influx that was alleged for re-investment in the team will now be just paying the bills. Well tat's handy they might not have to sell someone else right now i suppose.
  17. We may have to sell him there may be no choice.
  18. Pain't a grim picture but can't say there wasn't at least 5 assets to sell that were handled horrifically and just one or two fees would have made that slightly better reading. That is nobody's fault but those running and owning the club.
  19. There wouldn't be much spending money anyway without player sales but due to their mishandling of the finances again they are now under investigation by Indian tax authorities. Whilst this is ongoing they cannot send 1 rupee of the normal funding without first getting court approval and mandating where every penny for every bill is going. No you couldn't make it up and no we are not.
  20. Doesn't help when the redtops in their match reports mention the financial issues but then in typical lazy arsed journo fashion don't tell the real story. 'Due to Indian tax rules' What about the actual truth of the Investigation into misuse of company funds sent for the football club and the freezing of assets and money transfer ? Point A gets them the sympathy vote yet again, not their fault badly advised and now it's the Indian govts fault !!! Truth is it is ALWAYS their fault.
  21. That's why we never made the play offs under Mowbray and lost home grown players who wouldn't re-sign. The entire culture under Waggots watch has been 'Can't do' and punch below your weight it's ok because we don't have parachute money. The longer TM was here the more it became engrained into the entire club 'oh it's not 1995 anymore'. The new set up and JDT changed that mentality overnight but within a season they at the top have managed to drag it back down to the lowest level since Coyle was here. Some achievement that is and i'm saying now several people in the middle of the Venky void are not arsed in the slightest. It suits them and their cushy positions to have this club going nowhere because it cements their positions as hands on firefighters.
  22. So the club pay rent and the company pay the club a penalty fee ? No wonder they are under scrutiny in India !
  23. Just watch Gallagher thrive under a new environment where they look to get the best out of the limited ability he has to offer. Whilst we continue with Ennis on the bench and Telalovic only scoring for the U23s but it's ok because both wages only add up to one Sam Gallaghers and leave some cost cutting change. Boxes ticked in head office.
  24. First Christmas in history i didn't get any so haven't seen them. 3 tubs of bloody Heroes !
  25. Not always necessary to have huge crowds yet that's another thing that gets chucked in as a reason no one would touch Rovers. Burnley no big crowd potential there and even if so big investment would be needed to accommodate them, Ipswich a bit of increased potential but again bigger stands needed. So it's not always about looking at attendances when wanting a club obviously.
