  1. The lad is playing for a contract there and best of luck to him leaving this mess behind no wonder he wanted out sitting and watching some of the games here from the sidelines and not getting on. Very much doubt they'll be paying 4 million though more like 2.5 at best.
  2. Not that it is any of his fault and taking nothing away from his potential but that's all it is at this point and he is one the reason we are doing what we are doing. They are quite prepared to carry him whilst he learns and gets appearances to increase his value even if it contributes to losing points. Personally i'd have benched him a while ago and had Travis probably in there and tightened things up. Not because he's done anything wrong but purely for tactical reasons and he'd have to lump it as part of his learning curve.
  3. Where does the ever present shadowman Suhail fit into all this ? Is he the middleman representing other parties or is it really just Balaji and assorted friends real life football manager plaything.
  4. No idea perhaps someone else could confirm if they mentioned budget cuts etc. Even so the lack of action or interaction ob the bench was very noticeable to them and that's not good enough. The whole lot sat there emotionless like they didn't want to be there is no good to anybody.
  5. That's exactly what he was texting to me but of course we aren't allowed to criticise our own team in some quarters ! He said they were amazed JDT was still in the job and wouldn't be for much longer according to him and it's a far cry from the 'best we've played' this season line.
  6. Pickering and Brittain are classic 442 type full backs and are sound enough at this level but useless being played as wing backs. This flawed logic of this style trying to make them into more attractive players worth money to more ambitious clubs is totally flawed with guys like that. It's making them and the centre defenders look worse than they are and non of those are good they are just adequate in the right system. It's crazy thinking and contributes heavily to the goals against and defeats column. Make them first and foremost into good defenders and their value will increase a bit but lets be honest no top clubs are coming with good money for any of those ever. Very best bet is promotion chasing championship clubs who won't pay big money anyway.
  7. No other club owned by such wealthy people would pull the drawbridge up every single time we get in touching distance of potential success, non. Unless there were very odd reasons and yes there are FFP and finance issues but there are ways around it within reason. It's no wonder people turn to much darker theories but if an ownership wanted to self sabotage without completely busting the club then this lot are it. It's not like they've suddenly chucked in 10 million for transfers and wages and its failed no instead it's like they actively avoid giving it the push it needs when the time is right. They just love the 10/15 mill loss midtable model.
  8. My mate was watching on a stream yesterday and i presume it was WBA tv or something as they were West Brom fans and he said they were very critical of JDT and Rovers. Not just about the day but the past month and they were agast and what they'd been seeing and hearing to the point he said they were feeling sorry for Rovers fans. Having had their own recent problems they recognised what is going on here i think. It's not a good situation however it's dressed up and he is digging himself a massive hole but he seems to be happy to die by it.
  9. I read and listen to a few interviews from his time at Boro and Cov when he was in his later stages here. He either has great PR or he's just a wily old dog but it really like a set script for certain situations just insert latest club/fans/owners in the gaps. If buttering up were an art form Tony Mowbray would be the best tutor you could learn under.
  10. We shouldn't be letting ANYONE go in JAN unless a better replacement is signed first. And please people don't be hanging any hats on a kid from Crewe as the answer to any current problems because he isn't. We need a keeper and two half decent robust defenders AND a change of style even if it's only temporary.
  11. I don't think Ewood was very pro TM at all but rather it maintained a dignified stand off due to the credit he had in the bank and the 'nice guy' schtick which he repeats ad nauseam at every club he goes to almost word for word. There were plenty pissed off but i'd say more downtrodden and disappointed than raging anger although sooner or later it would have blown it always does. Some seem to have turned a blind eye to the increasingly regular 'Mowbray sort it out' chants and the boos at half time etc. Had we not turned that famous Johnson number 9 Derby match around he'd have got it then i'm pretty certain. Anyway hes gone and there is no comparison to JDT anyone who makes one (and they are) at this stage is a clown as what Mowbray had and what hes been dealt in his short time here are worlds apart.
  12. I've seen quite a lot over social media now saying they are sick of his constant whinging and whining towards the club. Saying although they understand the situation and like the guy he simply has to get on with it or bugger off. Whilst it's justified he isn't doing himself any favours.
  13. Very true and it was similar for Blackpool fans who had obvious local targets to vent at but here there is just a huge void. The club has had no figurehead or anyone accountable for over a decade.
  14. Yes non of them bar the out of his depth keeper are bad players but they cannot get to grips with this system. It needs tightening up they need protection across the middle and stop committing so many fwd to leave so much space. It's pretty basic stuff but going to places like West Brom or at Soton or playing at home to Leics and Leeds we are trying to take them on toe to toe. It's suicide and literally just throwing games away even Kean tried different tactics and he was far less qualified and honest than JDT.
  15. We couldn't manage that at the height of the Kean hysteria although some of us tried. Fast fwd a few years and winning promotion there are thousands on the pitch away and at home.
  16. Yes he's got to go into the U21s and be worked hard every game on the basics of English football. He won't like it but he'll like it even less if this carries on.
  17. He's basically, like Mowbray was, saying sack me.
  18. And the players other better placed clubs want from us are the ones who get frozen out !!! What does that say ?
  19. To invest 800 grand on him in our climate now was as stupid as given Ennis a 4 year contract. There are problems here at this club again it's amateur hour.
  20. Hes certainly gone backwards since he arrived and if the idea is to improve players it's not working is it with defenders and keepers.
  21. As they all do when the pressure mounts he's showing signs of complete delusion now or should i say denial. It's a rocky road from here.
  22. The very definition of chinless wonders.
  23. We haven't really seen much fantastic football this is a myth that finally needs putting to bed. What we've mostly seen the last 12 months is losing football and a very very weak defensive mentality with set pieces at both ends worse than they've ever been. Yes we've seen some fantastic goals and passages of play but if you add then up they don't account for a great deal. If the last 12 months was a season i think we'd have been relegated that is the cold hard reality of it. One Stoke away doesn't make up for a month of throwing game after game into the bog.
  24. I think hes managed to make himself immune now that GB is here.
  25. It's all the hallmarks of the Lambert scenario this has. New set up big ideas big promises then just pull the rug and start getting rid of the main assets and earners. I'm pretty certain if JDT had a release clause he'd have activated it by now. We know what followed that !
