I think everyone has been in agreement after the latest death spiral that we don’t want Mowbray to continue as manager and need someone better in. I’m wondering though what people think about the idea of Mowbray staying but in some sort of Director of Football role instead? I know people have questioned some of his signings in the past, but I think he’s actually been really successful in both the loan market and transfer market and has brought through a number of academy players into the first team as well.

Last home game of the season. If the boys can’t put a shift in for this one and win then we certainly don’t deserve to be in the playoffs, much less win them. Bournemouth have a massive game against Forest 3 days later, so I’m hoping their heads aren’t in it for the game with us. If anything it’s an exciting end to the Championship season, with everything still to play for.

Massive win, but will it be enough? Bournemouth have 3 games in a week with ours sandwiched in the middle, hopefully we can take advantage of that and pick up a narrow win. Luton and Sheffield both have difficult away games on the weekend as well. If we can go into the last game of the season with both 5th and 6th place still in reach then we have every chance of making it.

So frustrating to see us playing as well as we are today when we are 3 points behind top 6 with only 2 games to go. A big win is here is certainly needed though, as I think it's likely it might come down to GD in the end.

Just like last season, we were easily beating teams at the start of the season when Mowbray found a team and tactic that worked for us. However, as soon as teams figured us out, Mowbray had absolutely no response. Exact same thing happening this season. Honestly, what else can you expect when your manager and most of your key players have expiring contracts and are planning to leave? We have a team and a manager who know they won't be here next season, so their hearts just aren't in it anymore. Van Hecke, Kaminski, Travis, and Gallagher the only ones that I can see playing with a bit of passion still. The rest look gone mentally.

Johnson, Nyambe and Dolan all to come off for me. Bring on Dack, Rothwell and Buckley. We need someone who can actually pass in midfield.
