  1. This referee has been a joke. How was that not a penalty? Gallagher got hacked down from behind by the Swansea player.
  2. Dreadful first 10 mins. Swansea should be down to 10 men but the ref bottled the decision.
  3. Probably speaks of the high standard he's set for himself! He's seeing a lot of possession, but just not created much with it IMO.
  4. Looking a little bit better this half. Downing has had one of his poorest games for us today and Johnson looks too nervous for my liking. Either of the 2 or both could come off. Bell also has had a poor game.
  5. Stoke look poor, we need to be winning this. Not sure why people think Gallagher is out wide. It looks more like a 4-4-2, very narrow diamond formation with Gallagher playing on the right of that 2, so occasionally he's drifting out wide. Nyambe/Bell look to be the only players actually playing on either flank.
  6. The next 2 games will not be easy. Stoke and Swansea were in the PL 2 seasons ago and they still have some of those PL quality players. They’ve both been underperforming but the playing talent is still there. If Rothwell is back that will be a massive boost to the team. We lack a bit of creativity in midfield at the moment. If we do manage to win the next 2 games I will start to believe!
  7. Early on in the season I thought he was going to be a bit of a dud, but his performances in 2020 have been absolutely excellent and I would rather we bought him in the summer than go chasing some unknown keeper. He has all the attributes to be a success and has age on his side as well.
  8. Alright Walton has convinced me today. Give the man a contract...
  9. Hahaha what did I say! Raya gives away a penalty! Let's finish this off now boys...
  10. Who knows where he's playing? He looks to have a free role. He's popped up in the centre, left and right so far in this half.
  11. Definitely needs to come off at half time. Done 1 or 2 nice things but looks completely off the pace and unable to handle Brentford. Wouldn't mind seeing someone like Davenport coming on to help control the midfield and keep possession.
  12. I don't know if we can hold on, but surely Raya has a gaffe in him today. Walton has been excellent today, so you just feel Raya will do something silly.
  13. Wow. Just wow hahaha Beautiful finish from Arma!
  14. Brentford are looking really good so far. Best team I've seen us come up against in a while.
  15. Interesting that we have our biggest point total in those last 6 seasons now as well. I think 70 points would need to be enough to secure a playoff spot if we want to have a chance. I can see us hitting the 70 point mark but not more than that.
  16. People being pretty harsh on Del. He was performing well at CB at the end of last season and the start of this one. He was never dropped because of his performances, but because of injury. Although I think he played better with Cunningham on the left flank next to him. I always get the feeling that him and Bell don’t work that well on the left side of defence.
  17. Some great performances tonight, especially from the fringe players. Special mention for Johnson who has been in poor form of late but bossed the midfield today. Samuel has impressed me a lot in the last 2 games. He looks more ‘ready’ than Brereton and Buckley. Brereton always looks so clumsy on the ball, highlighted by him running the ball out of play. Buckley is very inconsistent, with some of his passing today putting us in a bad position and other passes looking top class. Also I thought Chapman did well after coming on. Some nice runs and a cracking challenge. Not much time to really impose himself on the game though. I like seeing all these players getting a chance right now. Brings a bit of excitement to the games each week. Who’s going to score next week??
  18. Thoughts so far: This has been Bell’s worst game in a while. Him and Bennett have been absolutely terrible and constantly losing possession. Graham has done okay, but has still been a passenger for most of the game. Everyone else has been playing quite well. Armstrong should be on a hat trick by now, so I hope that doesn’t come back to bite us later. Nyambe MOM for me so far. Hull are an awful side. Their only good player is Jackson Irvine and the GK has been pretty good as well. We have to win this one. I’m expecting Graham, Bennett and Johnson to come off after half time.
  19. I don’t know if I would call that options. 6 goals between Graham and Gallagher all season. How much football has Samuel played since he got injured nearly 2 years ago? It’s unlikely that Graham and Samuel are here next season either. Ben needs to be given a run in the side and preferably up top. Better give him a run now when we are relatively safe and expectations are low due to injuries than next season where there will be a lot of unknowns.
  20. I always find it amazing just how much hate Mowbray gets on here. Especially in the context of the last few years and the utter dross we’ve had for managers. Fact is that in the last 50 years of Rovers, there have only been 2 managers with a better win % than Mowbray: Kenny Dalglish and Howard Kendall. You would think he would get a bit of a break on here on that basis alone.
  21. Bell was struggling against Samuel. So much so that TM brought in Bennett on the left to shore that side up defensively. Warburton’s decision to move Samuel to the left is probably why they failed to equalise as he was barely in the game second half...
  22. Opposition players really hate Travis don't they? ?
  23. He's played worse, but he sticks out as the weak link in our side right now. Particularly because the rest of the team is playing so well. He's also up against QPR's best player in Osayi-Samuel, so he's struggling to contain him. If they score a 2nd it will be down that side.
  24. Is anyone else getting a patchy feed from iFollow right now? Audio keeps cutting in and out for me.
  25. Credit to QPR - they look up for it just like us. Impressed by Hugill and Oseyi Samuel in particular so far. If only we could trade our Samuel for theirs...
