Bloody hell that was good! Arma is clearly in-form and loving it right now. Rothwell's run and pass was absolute class as well - he's shown just how good he can be.

How many clubs have actually had a net spend on transfers this season? There appear to only be a handful of clubs and we’re one of them. -

Bell is a good backup option. I don't think he should be first choice, and we need to bring in someone like Cunningham as the regular starter at LB, but I think Bell has proven that he can come in and put in a solid performance when required. It doesn't make sense to me to let him go and replace him with a more expensive option that may or may not be better. If he's willing to stay and compete for a place then I'd give him another short term deal (1 or 2 years). -
Chuffed for Gally... he was playing really well, especially in the first half and really needed to get that goal. Would have been disappointing for him if he came away from another game without a goal. Top drawer performance from all our players though, couldn't really fault any of them today and hopefully it's a massive morale boost all round.

YESSSS!!! Goal for Gallagher and assist for JRC!! 5-0
-
I like the look of Davenport - very similar player to Evans. Composed on the ball and good in the tackle as well. I think he offers a good option while Evans is injured.
-
3-0!!! Bloody hell Armstrong is in some form right now. This is the best performance I've seen from Rovers in a while... when we play like this we feel unstoppable.
-
Brilliant start and brilliant goal. This is the Rovers that we want to see every week! Big positive that Holtby got the goal as that will give him a bit more confidence. Just need a goal from Gally now as well..
-
I think Bell has looked the way he usually does... looks really good going forward, but a major worry defensively. Of the 2 full backs, Bennett has been worse though tbf.
-
Rothwell's finally woken up... great ball up to Armstrong for the goal, and his attacking play generally improved during the latter stages. If we have anything about us we will at least draw this game. Half the Forest team look to be carrying knocks.

Joke of a goal... New GK no.1 priority this month.
-
We've looked okay, but lacking the final ball as per usual. I think Big Ben has a goal in him today.

Cowley knows how to make a good sub as well. In the reverse fixture he brought Bacuna on and it changed the game and he scored within 10 minutes of coming on. Our subs made no sense again. Maybe bringing Bell on for Rothwell was fine if Mowbray thought that we were being targeted on the left, and Bell was actually quite good when he came on. But within about 10 minutes he brought Armstrong on and moved him to the left which pretty much nullified the earlier decision. We were also actually starting to connect with our passes after half time, but bringing Armstrong on and changing the formation disrupted that again as the players were trying to get used to the change. Chapman getting brought on for his first start of the season and first start since the long lay off injury was ridiculous as well. We were losing 2-1 and playing an away game against what was a very boisterous stadium. You could tell Chapman’s confidence levels weren’t there and he struggled to make any sort of impact. -

Atrocious performance today. The players looked like they’re playing with each other for the first time and are still finding their feet. For me that is down to Mowbray switching formations and player positions around constantly. Players aren’t in their natural positions and make the wrong decisions in roles they’re not accustomed to playing. I think our expectations of this team are too high though. Every time we go on one of these unbeaten runs it feels like we can do better, but the reality is that we have a team full of players that have either only ever been Championship regulars in their careers or are completely new to the Championship. Our only players with Premier League experience are Graham and Downing, but they are 34 and 35 respectively. Looking at Huddersfield, although they are near the bottom right now, their players are Premier League standard. They’ve all been regulars for teams at the top level. Their team is a different class to ours and it showed today. -

I wouldn’t say Rothwell is invisible. He’s seen plenty of the ball but he’s lost it each time he’s tried to take the Huddersfield defenders on. Gallagher is barely getting any service but he’s battling hard up the front, just need to actually hit him with a pass. -

We’ve been dreadful since the goal. If we could actually string more than 2 passes together we’d walk away with 3 points. -

Chapman, Samuel and Davenport on the bench. Putting them in the shop window or last chance to impress before the Jan window? -
Really hope it's not serious. Dack has been immense for us since coming here and we have a lot to be thankful for. He was on an upwards trajectory in terms of his career and if it's a particularly bad injury it's going to be not so much the time he is out for initially, but the effect it might have on future injuries. As TM has said, he deserves to have a shot at Premier League football one day and hopefully this injury is not a major setback for him. It's a blow for the team, but I think we'll be okay with either Rothwell or Holtby filling in.

I couldn’t watch it on iFollow at all due to region restrictions. Had to watch on Kayo Sports instead. I think it’s a bit crap that not all games are being shown on iFollow - you pay for the season but there’s probably like 10% of games that you have to watch elsewhere.

Wigan Athletic (H) - Monday Night Football (urgh..)

The abuse Derrick gets on here is unreal. He’s been crap today but prior to his injury he put in a series of excellent performances at the back. One bad game and people want his head. -

Falling asleep here. The players look like they got into the egg nog early. -
Bristol City (A) - Bradley Dack's Christmas Break

Thought Brereton has looked okay so far. It’s his first start of the season after a long injury lay off. He’s been linking up well with Gallagher. Set up quite a nice shot for Johnson but it was saved by the keeper. Bell has done well as well. Bristol have fashioned some chances but they look tired compared to us. We need to keep the pressing game going next half and we’ll be fine. -

3-4-1-2? With Bennett and Bell as wing backs. Would make the most sense to me. Mowbray mentioned he might change the formation. Bold line up either way. Not sure why Evans and Armstrong were dropped unless it’s fitness related. -
Derby County (H) - We couldn't make it four... could we?

Have to say that this was a great win and performance, but Mowbray really made things difficult with his subs. Brings Gallagher on for Graham, but puts him on the right. Brings Bennett on for Rothwell, but puts him at left back and moves Downing further up. Brings the youngest player on the bench for the last 5 minutes when we have a narrow 1-0 lead, rather than someone with a bit more experience like Holtby.
