He will surely end up at Sunderland in January and I expect do quite well for them. I honestly really feel for Dack. He’s come back after 2 big injuries, put in the hard work to stay fit and get back to his best and then JDT brings him on for 5 minutes several games in a row. It was insulting really and especially in games where we were losing or struggling to score. I don’t buy the reasoning that he doesn’t press enough off the ball. My memory might be failing me but I recall us getting a goal or at least several chances from him closing down defenders and winning the ball. At the very least give him a reasonable chance to show what he can do. It’s hard to argue with JDT given where we are in the table right now but I worry we are too reliant on BBD and any bust up with Dack will kill his morale and the overall team morale.

Is there a record for the longest WLWL sequence? Surely we must be close!

What has Hirst done to deserve a starting spot? Bizarre to have Gallagher, Dolan and Dack all on the bench and starting Hirst ahead of all of them. Even if not playing those 3, move Hedges up top and put Brittain in.

Alright this Szmodics fella is pretty good.

We need to do something about Ogbene. He's getting way too much space and beating Ayala each time.

Hirst showed some improvement later in the half but he looked like he had no idea what to do when he first came on. Didn’t make sense to bring both Szmodics and Hirst on when we were finally looking on top. They’re 2 new players still gelling with the squad and it completely destroyed our rhythm. Dack and Buckley were better options especially with the crowd singing their names. I wouldn’t have had a problem if JDT brought on one of Hirst or Szmodics on but putting both on was dumb and nearly cost us the game.

We are so, so lucky. These subs have been dreadful. Why we would bring Carter on for Hedges when we have a RB on the bench, and why we would bring on both Szmodics and Hirst on instead of Dack, and why we would leave Morton on when Buckley is available is baffling. If we manage to stuff this up in the next 2 minutes I will be pissed.

Absolute joke that Szmodics and Hirst get on ahead of Dack.

The 3 strikers aren't on the same wavelength today. Most of our attacks have gone through the left side, but BBD has been pretty poor today. Brittain should give us more attacking power down the right if he is brought on.

Missed the game tonight because it was way too early my time, but so pleased to get a win against one of the promotion favourites. It’s no surprise that we won because we always do well when we play our best players in their best positions.
